High dielectric constant of NiFe2O4–LaFeO3 nanocomposite: Interfacial conduction and dielectric loss

Materials exhibiting colossal dielectric constant are the most sought-after materials due to their variety of applications in various electronics industries. NiFe2O4 and LaFeO3 belonging to the spinel and perovskite structures, respectively, were coupled into a nanocomposite by adapting a one-pot sol-gel synthesis. The ratio of NiFe2O4:LaFeO3 was varied and the synthesized materials were studied for their dielectric behaviors. Interestingly, among the samples studied, the nanocomposite with the ratio of 1:2 of NiFe2O4–LaFeO3 exhibited a high dielectric constant value of 10390 at a frequency of 1 kHz with a several-fold increase in conductivity. The high conductivity resulted in a high dielectric loss. The origin of such a high dielectric constant and loss have been attributed to the Maxwell-Wagner type space charge polarization arising from the microstructure that consists of large and continuous grain boundaries, and the conducting phase at the interface, respectively. 相似文献

Single layer and multilayer films consisting of SnO2, Ta2O5, SiO2, TiO2, indium tin oxide (ITO) and antimony tin oxide (ATO) have been prepared by sol-gel dip coating technique. All of the multilayer films contained a SiO2 top layer, which was composed of SiO2 nanoparticles. The other films had polymeric character. Obtained films were characterized by ellipsometry, XRD, AFM and SEM. Light transmittance values of the films were compared. Films other than SiO2 and Ta2O5 were found to have crystalline structure. Thickness values of the films were in the range of 30–115 nm and roughness values were in 1.2–23 nm range. Single layer porous silica provided 95% light transmittance, whereas ITO-TiO2-SiO2 multilayer film provided a light transmittance of 97.2%. 相似文献

Nanosized particles of CoAlxFe2-xO4, where 0?≤?x?≤?2, were synthesized by the sol–gel combustion method and the magnetic properties of these compounds were investigated. According to X-ray diffractograms, the samples are single phase and the crystallite size is between 7 and 25?nm. The room temperature saturation magnetization of the samples was estimated from the cation distribution and ferromagnetic resonance spectra were used to determine the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. The results show that the saturation magnetization and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy vary over a wide range, from maxima of Ms =?0.42?MA/m and K?=?0.39?kJ/m3 for x?=?1.0 to minima of almost zero for x?≈?1.4, a result that could be useful for practical applications of these materials. 相似文献

Contextual knowledge is an essential resource for adapting business processes in order to keep them aligned with its goals. A context-based adaptation environment should learn from the dynamism of the context as well as the decisions made, and continuously identify new unforeseen situations. Data mining is a possibility to maintain the analysis of the processes updated. This paper presents a method that infers the need to learn new situations that influence a business process execution. The method is based on the results of the Apriori algorithm application. Case studies were conducted to evaluate the proposal. The thermal processes proceeding in the casting-mould system are analysed. Solidification process can be described in the different ways. One of them consists in the application of the Fourier–Kirchhoff equation in which the source function controlling the phase change is introduced. In this paper, two approaches to the modelling of pure metals solidification, i.e. the solidification proceeding at the constant temperature and in the artificially introduced interval of temperature are considered. Numerical model used at the stage of computations is constructed using the Control Volume Method in which the principle of conservation of energy (taking also into account the release of latent heat of solidification) is applied to each control volume ensuring the correctness of the model. The use of Voronoi/Thiessen tessellation to the discretization of the casting-mould system can accurately reproduce the shape of each sub-domain. CuO/[Si]MCM‐41 catalysts with various Si/Cu molar ratios were prepared and characterized by X‐ray diffraction, nitrogen physisorption, temperature‐programmed reduction by H2, and UV‐vis and Raman spectroscopy. The effects of copper loading and pH on their activity in the decolorization of methyl orange were studied in a heterogeneous Fenton‐like process. With decreasing Si/Cu ratio, dye decolorization increased from 18 to 75 % at pH 3. CuO/[Si]MCM‐41 catalysts showed 75, 50, and 40 % conversion of methyl orange at pH 3, 5, and 7, respectively. This is a significant improvement to Fenton‐like reactions involving copper, and thus CuO/[Si]MCM‐41 catalysts are quite promising for pollutant degradation. 相似文献

AbstractDue to their high antifriction characteristics, the Sn-Sb-Cu alloys (referred to as babbits) are widely used to coat sliding bearings. However, some limitations of the present techniques for applying such coating materials cause a decrease in their fatigue strength because of the reinforcing phase particles growth. As a technique for restricting the increasing of the reinforcing particle sizes, this paper proposes plasma surface cladding with multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) as modifiers. The dry sliding friction tests performed according to the “pin-on-disk” scheme using as a counterface a steel 100Cr6 (DIN 17230) disk have shown that adding to the coating 0.25%wt of CNTs significantly improves the friction stability (the coefficient of friction process stability decreases twice with reducing the friction coefficient and wear resistance by 5% on the average). An attempt to reveal the mechanism for the MWNT influence on the structure and performance of the babbit-based coatings was undertaken. Studies of the coatings metal structure by soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy and also by the metallographic and fractographic analysis involving electron-microscopy have shown that MWNTs remain stable during plasma cladding process and save into the coating. 相似文献

Rating scales (such as, Likert scales, Guttman scales, Feelings thermometers, etc.) represent simple tools for measuring attitudes, judgements and subjective preferences in human rating contexts. Because rating scales show some useful properties (e.g., measurement uniformity, considerable flexibility, statistically appealing), they represent popular and reliable instruments in socio-behavioral sciences. However, standard rating scales suffer also from some relevant limitations. For example, they fail in measuring vague and imprecise information and, above all, they are only able to capture the final outcome of the cognitive process of rating (i.e., the rater's response). To overcome these limitations, some fuzzy versions of these scales (e.g., fuzzy conversion scales, fuzzy rating scales) have been proposed over the years. However, also these more sophisticated scales show some important shortcomings (e.g., difficulty in fuzzy variables construction and potential lack of ecological validity). In this paper, we propose a novel methodology (DYFRAT) for modeling human rating evaluations from a fuzzy-set perspective. In particular, DYFRAT captures the fuzziness of human ratings by modeling some real-time biometric events that occur during the cognitive process of rating in an ecological measurement setting. Moreover, in order to show some important characteristics of the proposed methodology, we apply DYFRAT to some empirical rating situations concerning decision making and risk assessment scenarios. 相似文献
