This paper presents a virtual try-on system based on augmented reality for design personalization of facial accessory products. The system offers several novel functions that support real-time evaluation and modification of eyeglasses frame. 3D glasses model is embedded within video stream of the person who is wearing the glasses. Machine learning algorithms are developed for instantaneous tracking of facial features without use of markers. The tracking result enables continuously positioning of the glasses model on the user’s face while it is moving during the try-on process. In addition to color and texture, the user can instantly modify the glasses shape through simple semantic parameters. These functions not only facilitate evaluating products highly interactive with human users, but also engage them in the design process. This work has thus implemented the concept of human-centric design personalization.  相似文献

Real-time and reliable measurements of the effluent quality are essential to improve operating efficiency and reduce energy consumption for the wastewater treatment process.Due to the low accuracy and unstable performance of the traditional effluent quality measurements,we propose a selective ensemble extreme learning machine modeling method to enhance the effluent quality predictions.Extreme learning machine algorithm is inserted into a selective ensemble frame as the component model since it runs much faster and provides better generalization performance than other popular learning algorithms.Ensemble extreme learning machine models overcome variations in different trials of simulations for single model.Selective ensemble based on genetic algorithm is used to further exclude some bad components from all the available ensembles in order to reduce the computation complexity and improve the generalization performance.The proposed method is verified with the data from an industrial wastewater treatment plant,located in Shenyang,China.Experimental results show that the proposed method has relatively stronger generalization and higher accuracy than partial least square,neural network partial least square,single extreme learning machine and ensemble extreme learning machine model.  相似文献

We propose an approach for dependence tree structure learning via copula. A nonparametric algorithm for copula estimation is presented. Then a Chow-Liu like method based on dependence measure via copula is proposed to estimate maximum spanning bivariate copula associated with bivariate dependence relations. The main advantage of the approach is that learning with empirical copula focuses on dependence relations among random variables, without the need to know the properties of individual variables as well as without the requirement to specify parametric family of entire underlying distribution for individual variables. Experiments on two real-application data sets show the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

A novel model‐free iterative adaptive controller is presented for low‐power control of piezoelectric actuators. The controller uses simple adaptation rules based on known general behavior of piezoelectric actuators to adjust on‐off switching times to drive piezoelectric actuators through a desired transient step motion. Adaptation rules are based on small numbers of measurements taken during each iteration of the actuator movement. Combined with the use of only on‐off control inputs, controller implementation can be possible at much lower overall power levels than would be needed to implement a conventional control strategy such as through pulse‐width‐modulation (PWM) with real‐time feedback. Such power savings are particularly important for the intended controller application to piezoelectric microactuators driving autonomous terrestrial micro‐robots. A method for predicting convergence of systems with nominally linear dynamics and unknown, bounded nonlinearities is described, and applied to a sample target piezoelectric actuator. The controller is tested in simulation and experimentally on a piezoelectric cantilever actuator, and shows predicted convergence to the desired response. This paper describes a heuristic approach to the discovery of useful macro-operators (macros) in problem solving. The approach has been implemented in a program, MACLEARN, that has three parts: macro-proposer, static filter, and dynamic filter. Learning occurs during problem solving, so that performance improves in the course of a single problem trial. Primitive operators and macros are both represented within a uniform representational framework that is closed under composition. This means that new macros can be defined in terms of others, which leads to a definitional hierarchy. The representation also supports the transfer of macros to related problems. MACLEARN is embedded in a supporting system that carries out best-first search. Experiments in macro learning were conducted for two classes of problems: peg solitaire (generalized Hi-Q puzzle), and tile sliding (generalized Fifteen puzzle). The results indicate that MACLEARN'S filtering heuristics all improve search performance, sometimes dramatically. When the system was given practice on simpler training problems, it learned a set of macros that led to successful solutions of several much harder problems.  相似文献

We present some adaptive control strategies based on neural networks that can be used for designing controllers for continuous process control problems. Specifically, a learning algorithm has been formulated based on reinforcement learning, a weakly supervised learning technique, to solve set-point control and control scheduling for continuous processes where the process cannot be modeled easily. It is shown how reinforcement learning can be used to learn the control strategy adaptively based on exploration of the control space without making assumptions about the process model. A new learning scheme, handicapped learning, was developed to learn a control schedule that specifies a schedule of set points. Applications studied include the control of a nonisothermal continuously stirred tank reactor at its unstable state and the learning of the daily time-temperature schedule for an environment controller. Experimental results demonstrate good learning performance, indicating that the learning algorithm can be used for solving transient startup and boundary value control problems.  相似文献

Practical Issues in Temporal Difference Learning   总被引:18,自引:10,他引:8  
This paper examines whether temporal difference methods for training connectionist networks, such as Sutton's TD() algorithm, can be successfully applied to complex real-world problems. A number of important practical issues are identified and discussed from a general theoretical perspective. These practical issues are then examined in the context of a case study in which TD() is applied to learning the game of backgammon from the outcome of self-play. This is apparently the first application of this algorithm to a complex non-trivial task. It is found that, with zero knowledge built in, the network is able to learn from scratch to play the entire game at a fairly strong intermediate level of performance, which is clearly better than conventional commercial programs, and which in fact surpasses comparable networks trained on a massive human expert data set. This indicates that TD learning may work better in practice than one would expect based on current theory, and it suggests that further analysis of TD methods, as well as applications in other complex domains, may be worth investigating.  相似文献
