ALAI 2016 International Congress,Rome 15/16 September 2016

The Conference of the International Literary and Artistic Association (ALAI) was held this year to discuss the theme: Applied Arts under IP Law – The Uncertain border between Beauty and Usefulness. While it is usual to think in terms of copyright protection when we speak about typical artistic works such as those of literature, painting, music, theater or cinema, no great space has been given to discuss that part of the Intellectual Property that concerns aspects of the human creativity which can be also subject of the Industrial Property law, like the shape of industrial products that are often subject of IP tools such as registered designs. The border between “beauty and usefulness” of a product is often quite blurred, and there are differences in the approach of the law and the jurisprudence at national level from country to country. Hence, it is not often easy to say if, how, where and how long an industrial design can be protected, and this uncertainty can be of great impact on authors and industry, who risk losing protection on their original works. The conference offered a high level discussion on this topic with some of the internationally most renowned experts of intellectual property rights. The acts will be published in spring 2017.     

基于空样式的网页水印方法

网页水印在网页版权保护和防仿冒篡改等方面具有重要应用,现有的网页水印技术主要是利用HTML对一些格式变化的不敏感性进行水印信息的嵌入,这类方法嵌入的水印信息与网页内容严重分离,水印的隐蔽性不强,容易受到攻击。文中提出一种新的基于空样式的网页水印方法,利用HTML对于没有定义的样式不做任何操作的性质,将水印信息转换为没有内容定义的空样式,并嵌入到网页的HTML代码中,使得水印信息与HTML代码联系紧密,隐蔽性强,不易被检测和攻击,同时拥有较大的水印信息容量。与现有方法相比,所提方法具有较大的优越性。     

几何变换攻击下数字水印的同步检测方法

对数字水印系统在几何变换攻击下的同步方案进行了分析,提出了一种新的同步检测方法——同步水印追踪方法(SWTM)。与传统方法相比,该方法无需对几何攻击后的载体图像进行二次处理,因此减少了水印信息的进一步丢失;而通过对剩余水印信息进行追踪,可最大限度地提取剩余的水印信息。仿真实验结果表明,该方法能够有效提高几何变换攻击下水印检测的有效性。

计算机网络通信时代,二值数字图像作为一种广为使用的传输媒介,对其进行版权保护和完整性认证具有重要意义。对用于二值图像版权保护和完整性认证的数字水印技术进行详细的综述,介绍了现有的各种水印算法,分析了各自的优缺点,并指出下一步的研究方向。     

数字水印攻击技术及对策研究

分类论述了目前常见的一些数字水印攻击技术,并给出了相应的解决对策,对研究新型数字水印系统有一定的借鉴作用。

为了减少因特网上侵权现象，针对文本文档，描述用来保护文本文档的版权的几种编码方式，这些文档编技术能用来确定文本文档被非法复制后的版权归属和容许执行该非法复制的合法用户。     

数字水印技术研究进展

随着因特网的日益普及,多媒体信息交流达到了前所未有的深度和广度,但作品侵权也随之更加容易,篡改也更加方便,因此,如何保护作品版权已受到人们的高度重视,而如今信息隐藏技术,特别是数字水印技术作为版权保护的重要手段,已得到广泛的研究和应用,为了使人们对该技术有一个较全面的了解,因而对数字水印技术的研究与进展情况进行了较系统的论述,即首先对信息隐藏技术进行了介绍,并对该技术进行了分类,然后重点分析了数字水印技术的模型、典型算法及其攻击方法,最后对数字水印技术的研究发展及其应用前景指出了一些可能的方向。     

Re-examining the proprietary software protection issue in the U.S.A. for the 1980s

Recent developments in statutory and case law in the USA now make it possible to protect by copyright, proprietary computer programs from unauthorized copying provided that the copyright-holding party attempts to display the copyright notice publicly. Considerable progress has been made toward patentable computer software, but the issue of whether a computer program itself may be patented still remains unresolved. The Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) and the Court of Customs and Appeals (CCPA) have agreed that the application of a computer program, containing a mathematical algorithm, in a process may constitute patentible subject matter. The cases pertaining to copyrightable and patentable software together with an explanation of the wording of the new Section 117 of the 1976 Copyright Act are shown in the Appendixes to the article. The paper presents the issues pertaining to copyright and patent protection of computer software and some relevant cases for each issue. It concludes with a discussion of unresolved questions in protecting proprietary software.
