Business process orientation (BPO) supports business process management by reorienting employees’ focus from functional performance to customer value adding. While it is generally believed that BPO improves various aspects of organizational performance, there has been a lack of empirical evidence. The results of this study showed that BPO significantly influences organizational innovation performance and identified the underlying mechanism for the effect. Interestingly, it is found that a process view is not sufficient to enhance organizational innovation performance. Cross-functional integration may also need to be carefully managed for innovation. A detailed model specifying the linkages between Internet recruitment websites and organizational attraction was examined. Participants (N = 581) viewed Fortune 500 company websites and responded to questions about the content and design of these websites and their resulting attitudes, fit perceptions, and organizational attraction. Results showed that recruitment website content and design influence attitudes toward the recruitment websites, organizational attitudes, and subsequently organizational attraction. The moderating effects of person-organization (P-O) and person-job (P-J) fit were examined. Two sets of hypotheses based on signaling theory ( and ) and the elaboration likelihood model ( Petty & Cacioppo, 1981) were largely supported. Consistent with signaling theory, the amount of job and organizational information on a recruitment website interacted with website usability, such that when less job information was presented, website usability played a greater role in predicting favorable attitudes towards the organization. This meta-analysis examines whether exposure to HIV-prevention interventions follows self-validation or risk-reduction motives. The dependent measures used in the study were enrolling in an HIV-prevention program and completing the program. Results indicated that first samples with low prior condom use were less likely to enroll than samples with high prior condom use. Second, samples with high knowledge were less likely to stay in an intervention than were those with low knowledge. Third, samples with medium levels of motivation to use condoms and condom use were more likely to complete an intervention than were those with low or high levels. Importantly, those patterns were sensitive to the interventions' inclusions of information-, motivation-, and behavioral-skills strategies. Companies that use web-based testing do not need to invite applicants to their offices for screening purposes, and applicants are not required to travel. Given the world-wide accessibility of the Internet and the savings in travel costs, web-based testing expands the applicant pool to geographically distant regions. This advantage comes along with the tangible drawback of less control over the testing situation and therefore possible influence on the data quality of scores obtained via Internet testing. This study examined the equivalence of proctored and unproctored web-based psychological testing. In APA's Project B (Clark, 1957), a large segment of professional psychologists were asked to recall reasons why they chose to enter the field of psychology. In terms of outlining factors motivating persons to select psychology as a career, and a future recruitment program for psychology, Project B doubtless will have far reaching implications. The question may be posed, however, whether factors professional psychologists recall as having been instrumental in their selection of psychology as a career are the factors influencing psychology majors now in college to make the same choice. The present study was, in part, an investigation of the applicability of the results of Project B to a sample of 211 graduate and undergraduate psychology majors. The trend of the results indicated that the graduate subjects who plan a career in psychology closely resemble the APA respondents, in that both groups give similar factors as important determinants in their selection of a career. This study investigated the growth, mortality and recruitment of Rastrineobola argentea in Lake Victoria on the basis of length–frequency data collected during the period 2014–2015. The asymptotic length (L ∞ ) had a mean (±SE ) value of 53.50 ± 0.50 mm SL , growth curvature (K ) of 0.81 ± 0.06 year?1, total mortality (Z ) of 2.96 ± 0.12 year?1, a natural mortality (M ) of 1.23 ± 0.06 year?1, a fishing mortality (F ) of 1.74 ± 0.07 year?1, an exploitation rate (E ) of 0.59 ± 0.01, a growth performance index (?′ ) of 3.36 ± 0.02 and a length at 50% capture (L 50) of 28.25 ± 0.43 mm SL . The fish exhibited a peak breeding during the months of May and August. The Beverton and Holt relative yield‐per‐recruit model indicated mean (±SE ) indices as 0.37 ± 0.01 for optimum sustainable yield (E 0.5), 0.76 ± 0.01 for maximum sustainable yield (E max) and 0.66 ± 0.01 for economic yield (E 0.1). Compared with previous studies, there is a great decline in the sizes of R. argentea stocks in Lake Victoria. Thus, management measures should include restriction on illegal seine nets <10 mm mesh size and re‐enforcement of a fishing ban or a closed season. 相似文献
