Conventional algorithms for the steady-state analysis of Markov regenerative models suffer from high computational costs which are caused by densely populated matrices. In this paper, a new algorithm is suggested which avoids computing these matrices explicitly. Instead, a two-stage iteration scheme is used. An extended version of uniformization is applied as a subalgorithm to compute the required transient quantities “on-the fly”. The algorithm is formulated in terms of stochastic Petri nets. This paper considers the problem of cognitive diagnosis as an instance of general diagnosis, as studied in artificial intelligence. Cognitive diagnosis is the process of inferring a cognitive state from observations of performance. It is thus a key component of any system which attempts to build a dynamic model of the user of that system. Many issues in cognitive diagnosis, previously discussed informally, are mapped onto formal techniques, with consequent increased clarity and rigour. But it is concluded that the general theories for diagnosis must be broadened to fully encompass the problems of cognitive diagnosis. 相似文献

Abstract. The limiting process of partial sums of residuals in stationary and invertible autoregressive moving-average models is studied. It is shown that the partial sums converge to a standard Brownian motion under the assumptions that estimators of unknown parameters are root- n consistent and that innovations are independent and identically distributed random variables with zero mean and finite variance or, more generally, are martingale differences with moment restrictions specified in Theorem 1. This paper investigates the influence of anisotropy and destructuration on the behavior of a test embankment on soft clay. The test embankment at Murro, Finland, was commissioned in 1993 by the Finnish Road Administration and has been monitored for over 10?years. The construction and consolidation of Murro test embankment is analyzed with finite element method using three different constitutive models to represent the soft soil. The results are compared with field observations. The constitutive models used include two recently proposed constitutive models, namely S-CLAY1 that accounts for initial and plastic strain induced anisotropy and its extension, called S-CLAY1S. The S-CLAY1S model accounts, additionally, for interparticle bonding and degradation of bonds. For comparison, the test embankment is also analyzed using the isotropic Modified Cam Clay model. The simulations demonstrate that for this type of problem, it is important to account for the anisotropy, whereas destructuration appears to have less influence on predicted deformations. However, only a model incorporating destructuration can explain the decrease in undrained shear strength during consolidation that was measured in field. 相似文献

An analysis of existing biochemical datasets, collected using different measurements methods, confirms peculiarities of the Mediterranean Sea, such as its oligotrophy, easterly decreasing gradients, and influence of hydrodynamics on the biochemical patterns. Thus assessment of this marine environment requires a model based on a three-dimensional characterization of the ecosystem dynamics. The model, which covers all the Mediterranean basin, conceptually takes into accounts the cycles of nitrogen and phosphorus through the detritus and food chains. It includes as major compartments dissolved inorganic nutrients, two pools of phytoplankton producers, one of zooplankton, and detritus. Dynamic of dissolved oxygen is also simulated. Simulations are presented and results from this conceptualization are reported. 相似文献

In this paper, a robust stable fuzzy control design based on feedback linearization is presented. Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model is used as representing the nonlinear plant model and uncertainty is assumed to be included in the model structure with known bounds. For this structured uncertainty, the closed system can be analyzed by applying the perturbation system stability analysis to the fuzzy feedback linearization systems and a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with bounded parameter uncertainties. Based on the developed analysis method, we can design a robust fuzzy controller by choosing the control parameters satisfying the robust stability condition. 相似文献
