We experimentally demonstrated the generation of transform-limit Gaussian ultrashort pulses as short as 70 fs from a dispersion-managed mode-locked erbium-doped fibre (EDF) laser. The output spectrum is close to the Gaussian profile with a full-width half-maximum (FWHM) output of 49?nm, and the measured autocorrelation trace exhibits the Gaussian profile. The shortest pulse duration of 70 fs was observed after external recompression. The time-band product is 0.44, showing the best transform limit pulse.  相似文献

Abstract

Permanent self-diffraction gratings are formed in red sensitive Acid blue 7 dye soaked gelatin films under illumination of an interference pattern by two linearly polarized beams from a He-Ne laser at 632.8 nm. Growth of the self-diffraction grating is monitored by measuring intensities of various diffraction orders. Systematic studies are carried out to investigate the influence of various parameters involved in diffraction efficiency of the grating such as time of exposure, concentration of dye in the gelatin-coated plate, intensity of interfering beams and intensity ratio of interfering beams. Efficient gratings with ten diffracted orders are formed. Several interesting observations are made by blocking one of the writing beams and an attempt is made to analyse these results.  相似文献

The Wigner function gives an intuitive representation of coherent and partially coherent wave fields in the frequency domain, which takes the form a ray weight distribution. However, this weight distribution is conserved along rays only for paraxial or significantly incoherent fields. Generalizations of the Wigner function have been defined for propagation through transparent homogeneous media that are exactly conserved along rays for any angular spread and state of coherence. A series expression is derived here for calculating these nonparaxial generalizations starting from the standard Wigner function.  相似文献

Based on the Collins diffraction integral formula and the fact that a hard-edged-aperture function can be expanded into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, the propagation of a four-petal Gaussian beam passing through an apertured fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) optical system has been studied in detail. Some typical numerical examples are given to illustrate the properties of the four-petal Gaussian beam in the FRFT plane. The results indicate that the intensity distributions of the beam in the FRFT plane are closely related to not only the fractional order but also the beam parameters and the aperture parameters.  相似文献

Based on the Collins formula, analytical representation of a Hermite–Gaussian beam propagating through a lens and sinusoidal amplitude grating separated system is obtained. Focal shift occurring in such a system is studied in detail with numerical calculation examples. It is found that the focal switch and the dual focal switch can emerge depending not only on the effective Fresnel number, but also on the uniform transmittance amplitude and the spatial frequency of the grating and beam parameter of the illumination Hermite–Gaussian beam.  相似文献

This is a continuation of our former study, Luh [1], of the shape parameter β contained in Gaussian e?β|x|2, xRn. Instead of using the error bound presented by Madych and Nelson [2], here we adopt an improved error bound constructed by Luh to evaluate the influence of β on error estimates. This results in a new set of criteria for the optimal choice of β and much sharper error estimates for Gaussian interpolation. What is important is that the notorious ill-conditioning of Gaussian interpolation can be greatly relieved because in this approach the fill distance need not be very small.  相似文献

为了更有效地确定小子样下单桩承载力的设计值,利用勘探阶段的静力触探资料,结合《建筑桩基技术规范》中的经验参数法,先使用Grubbs方法剔除基桩参数数据中的疏失误差数据, 得到单桩竖向承载力的验前信息,然后根据静载荷试验结果对先验信息进行调整,得到关于单桩竖向承载力的验后信息。经比较分析,利用Bayes方法估算的单桩极限承载力更加精确,置信区间更加集中,从而为小子样条件下单桩竖向承载力设计值提供了理论参考依据。  相似文献

Station blackout is reported to be a sequence that would likely be a significant contributor to the accident risk at a boiling water reactor (BWR). The occurrence frequency of station blackout is evaluated in probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) to be 6×10?6 per reactor year at Limerick and less than 10?7 per reactor year at BWR in Japan.

This report describes an analytical study of thermal-hydraulic and radionuclide behavior during a postulated severe accident of station blackout at a reference BWR plant. The analytical approach was shown in both of hand calculation and the THALES/ART code calculation to better understand wide physical and chemical phenomena in the processes of severe accidents.

We evaluated timing of key events, core cooling and core temperature, reactor vessel failure, debris temperature, containment pressure, and release and deposition of radionuclide in the containment. The THALES and CORCON models on the chemical reactions in the core-concrete interaction lead to great differences in the increasing rate of containment pressure and the release rate of fission products from the core debris.  相似文献

Tritium decontamination using ultra violet (UV) lamp and laser was performed. Simulated co-deposited layer on tungsten substrate was deposited by C2H2 or C2D2 glow discharge. The co-deposited layer was irradiated to UV lights from a xenon excimer lamp (172 nm) or ArF excimer laser (193 nm) and the in-situ decontamination behavior was evaluated by a mass spectrometer. After the UV irradiation, the hydrogen concentration in the co-deposited layer was evaluated by elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) and the depth profile was analyzed by secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS).

For the co-deposited layer formed by C2D2 glow discharge, it was found that M/e 3 (HD) gas was released mainly during the UV lamp irradiation while both M/e 3 (HD) and M/e 4 (D2) gases were detected during the UV laser irradiation. Though the co-deposited layer was not removed by UV lamp irradiation, almost all the co-deposited layer was removed by UV laser irradiation within 1 min. The ratio of hydrogen against carbon in the co-deposited layer was estimated to be 0.53 by ERDA and the number of photon needed for removing 1 fim thick co-deposited layer was calculated to be 3.7×1018 cm-2 for the UV laser by SIMS measurement. It is concluded that C-H (C-D) bond on the co-deposited layer were dissociated by irradiation of UV lamp while the co-deposited layer itself was removed by the UV laser irradiation.  相似文献
