AbstractA semiphysical model has recently been constructed by Parker that calculates the phase transformation behaviour of engineering steels as a function of time for an arbitrary cooling path. To compare the model with measured diagrams from the literature for linear cooling, a large number of continuous cooling transformation (CCT) diagrams have been calculated. The quantified comparison has been used to construct heuristics that indicate the accuracy of the model as a function of the steel composition. For 10 alloying elements the domain for which the model is valid has been established. 相似文献

Figure‐ground segmentation from bounding box input, provided either automatically or manually, has been extremely popular in the last decade and influenced various applications. A lot of research has focused on high‐quality segmentation, using complex formulations which often lead to slow techniques, and often hamper practical usage. In this paper we demonstrate a very fast segmentation technique which still achieves very high quality results. We propose to replace the time consuming iterative refinement of global colour models in traditional GrabCut formulation by a densely connected crf . To motivate this decision, we show that a dense crf implicitly models unnormalized global colour models for foreground and background. Such relationship provides insightful analysis to bridge between dense crf and GrabCut functional. We extensively evaluate our algorithm using two famous benchmarks. Our experimental results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm achieves an order of magnitude (10×) speed‐up with respect to the closest competitor, and at the same time achieves a considerably higher accuracy. 相似文献

A simple interface is described that makes it easier for operators of mobile robots to use multiple images provided by distributed cameras. While the images provided by multiple cameras located on ceilings or walls can provide global position information for use in navigating mobile robots, a human operator must be able to understand the working area by observing the multiple images, which is burdensome. Accounting for this, we propose a simple interface for operating the mobile robot through multiple camera images. To assist human recognition of the relationship between multi-displayed images from cameras located in unknown wide working areas, we designed and implemented the interface to have the following main features: (i) indication of overlap areas from cameras to support human recognition of working areas and (ii) indication of rough routes for robot navigation to assist robot operation from captured images. AbstractImage hiding involves the concealment of an embedded secret image within a cover image to form a stego-image. The secret image can be used for transmission across the public networks without its presence being detected. Image hiding thus serves as a way of secure message communication; therefore, except for the platitudinous issues of image quality and hiding capacity, it is necessary to pay more attention to the means to assure the origin and integrity of the delivered content. In this paper, a digital signature scheme is skillfully applied so as to guarantee the integrity and the origin of the transmitted message and a behind-the-scenes guide to recover the hidden secret. Most industrial processing machines, in the motion-picture laboratories, as well as in the large photofinishing stations, tend to be very large and to contain hundreds of gallons of solutions. This tendency seems to be right when considering the high chemical inertia resulting from such big volumes, but its corollary is the progressive and unrelenting chemical evolution of the solutions. So as to avoid this an artificial equilibrium is maintained by continuous replenishing with a suitably compounded solution, and an overflow of used liquid. This method is not very economical, and requires a rigorous chemical control and leads to tank formulae which are not necessarily the most suitable for the emulsion to be processed.One-time use of solutions, on the contrary, allows the chemical equilibrium to be established by the initial formula itself, which can, therefore, be exactly adapted to the emulsion considered. This system, which makes chemical control unnecessary, is very economical provided that the overflowing solution volume is entirely exhausted, which is true only for a high ratio of processed surface to solution volume. 相似文献
