Effect of the oxide support on the propane ammoxidation with Sb–V–O-based catalysts

The role of Nb₂O₅ and γ-Al₂O₃ oxide supports on the ammoxidation of propane on supported mixed Sb–V oxide at different Sb+V surface coverages is studied. Sb and V oxide species on alumina and on niobia support show different structural features that reflect in different performance during the ammoxidation of propane to acrylonitrile. Niobia-supported catalysts are much more selective to acrylonitrile than alumina-supported ones. Alumina interacts weakly with the supported oxides while niobia forms new phases through solid state reactions with the supported oxides during catalytic operation that must account for its higher selectivity values towards acrylonitrile and higher specific rate of acrylonitrile formation per vanadium site.

采用差示扫描量热法（DSC）对聚甲亚胺（PAM）/尼龙6复合材料等温结晶过程进行了研究。结果表明，PAM的加入使得基体的结晶速率增大，尤其是当含量为5%时，半结晶期明显减少。研究还发现，该体系的等温结晶过程完全可以用Avrami方程来描述，各试样的Avrami指数均在2-3之间，表明Avrami指数，球晶生长方式基本不受聚甲亚胺加入的影响。基体中原位形成的聚甲胺微纤起到了诱导结晶的作用，使得基体的结晶速率加快，但随着微纤含量的增加，由于分散性能变差而使得诱导结晶的能力减弱，表现为结晶速率又有所降低。

Signal Integrity: Fault Modeling and Testing in High-Speed SoCs

As we approach 100 nm technology the interconnect issues are becoming one of the main concerns in the testing of gigahertz system-on-chips. Voltage distortion (noise) and delay violations (skew) contribute to the signal integrity loss and ultimately functional error, performance degradation and reliability problems. In this paper, we first define a model for integrity faults on the high-speed interconnects. Then, we present a BIST-based test methodology that includes two special cells to detect and measure noise and skew occurring on the interconnects of the gigahertz system-on-chips. Using an inexpensive test architecture the integrity information accumulated by these special cells can be scanned out for final test and reliability analysis.     

The relative permeability of concrete using nitrogen gas

A modified version of a test, originally proposed by BRE (UK), was used to assess relative permeability to nitrogen gas of concretes cured in various ways. Three simple parameters from test plots clearly showed the effects of duration of water curing, followed by drying to constant mass at 50°C; test specimen moisture content was dominant and drying at 105°C reduced differences between concretes of very different quality. Convincing evidence was not found of differences between upper and lower ‘halves’ of cylinders nor between cast and cored ones.

Test Case Generation as an AI Planning Problem

While Artificial Intelligence techniques have been applied to a variety of software engineering applications, the area of automated software testing remains largely unexplored. Yet, test cases for certain types of systems (e.g., those with command language interfaces and transaction based systems) are similar to plans. We have exploited this similarity by constructing an automated test case generator with an AI planning system at its core. We compared the functionality and output of two systems, one based on Software Engineering techniques and the other on planning, for a real application: the StorageTek robot tape library command language. From this, we showed that AI planning is a viable technique for test case generation and that the two approaches are complementary in their capabilities.
