高架桥作业行走车是为城市高架桥建设施工而专门设计的高空作业用车,首先对高架桥作业行走车车架进行了结构设计,然后运用Pro／E软件对该车架进行了三维建模,在此基础之上,将模型导入有限元分析软件并进行了相关有限元分析,得到了该车架的最大应变、最大应力及车架车轮反力,其最大应力值未超过材料的允用应力,最大应变也满足设计要求,最后根据车架车轮反力计算保证车架不侧翻的配重,从整个车架设计结果来看整个车架安全可靠,可以应用于生产实际。     

Supply chain management practices as a mediator of the relationship between operations capability and firm performance

The current study uses mediated regression analysis and structural equation modelling to test the proposition that supply chain management practices mediate the relationship between operations capability and firm performance. Operations capability is defined in terms of a firm's new product design and development, total quality management and just-in-time capabilities. Results support the research model and also suggest the existence of a direct relationship between operations capability and performance.     

Good operations practice supervisor profiles in cell-centric manufacturing

The selection and implementation of good operations practice cannot be undertaken in isolation; it must consider the enterprise context. The aim of this paper is to describe a robust process for the development of specific environment good operations practice role profiles for supervisors, and illustrate this through a case study within a complex cell-centric manufacturing environment. The approach identifies the activities undertaken by a cell leader and team leader in a given manufacturing organization, and also by a good operations practice cell leader and team leader in a relevant external organization. Then via a survey of operations managers and functional managers, those activities that a cell leader and team leader should do within the given manufacturing organization are identified. The approach enables the contextual adoption of good operations practice, develops supervisor role profiles which allows them to be proficient within their task domains, contributes to attaining agreement amongst operational and functional management, and has applications across cell-centric manufacturing. The potentially significant impacts available across cell-centric manufacturing are illustrated by the finding that following this examination of operations practice in the case study company two-thirds were classified as requiring change.

THE OXLEY MODELING APPROACH,ITS APPLICATIONS AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS

Abstract

The Oxley machining theory which allows for the high strain-rate/high temperature flow stress and thermal properties of the work material is described. It is shown how the theory that was originally developed for the orthogonal process and later extended to oblique machining, can be used to predict cutting forces, temperatures and subsequently built-up edge formation conditions, tool life and cutting edge deformation conditions. It is also shown how the theory can be applied to obtain predictions in machining with restricted contact tools and in intermittent cutting processes, and to obtain work material properties using machining test results. Finally, some consideration is given to the future directions of machining research at UNSW. The Oxley Model can be used for predicting the performance parameters for different machining processes by taking into account the fundamentals of the chip formation process.
