Modern distance education essentially differs from traditional pattern of education in providing personalized education support service. This paper analyzes the status in which distance education provides personalized education support service nowadays. A distance education system is put forward based on Web usage mining techniques. Through analyzing the access behavior, the frequency, the browsing contents and the staying time of the students, get the general pattern of students' access behaviors, and than provide personalized education support service comprehensively according to these analysis.  相似文献

The accuracy and precision of quantitative energy-dispersive x-ray spectrometry in the environmental scanning electron microscope have been estimated using a series of copper / gold alloys of known composition. The mean values (five to six replicate experiments) had relative errors within +/- 5%, and most were within +/- 3.5%. All relative standard deviations were < 5% and most were < 3%. Since the standard specimens were large (approximately 500 microm) in diameter, electron scattering in the 2 torr of water vapor above the specimen did not affect the results. This level of accuracy and precision was possible only by using a novel specimen surface charge neutralization scheme.  相似文献

We consider four problems on distance estimation and object location which share the common flavor of capturing global information via informative node labels: low-stretch routing schemes [48], distance labeling [25], searchable small worlds [31], and triangulation-based distance estimation [34]. Focusing on metrics of low doubling dimension, we approach these problems with a common technique called rings of neighbors, which refers to a sparse distributed data structure that underlies all our constructions. Apart from improving the previously known bounds for these problems, our contributions include extending Kleinberg’s small world model to doubling metrics, and a short proof of the main result in Chan et al. [15]. Doubling dimension is a notion of dimensionality for general metrics that has recently become a useful algorithmic concept in the theoretical computer science literature. This work was done when A. Slivkins was a graduate student at Cornell University and was supported by the Packard Fellowship of Jon Kleinberg. Preliminary version of this paper has appeared in 24th Annual ACM SIGACT-SIGOPS Symposium on Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC), 2005.  相似文献

Web-based education and training provides a new paradigm for imparting knowledge; students can access the learning material anytime by operating remotely from any location. Web3D open standards, such as X3D and VRML, support Web-based delivery of Educational Virtual Environments (EVEs). EVEs have a great potential for learning and training purposes, by allowing one to circumvent physical, safety, and cost constraints. Unfortunately, EVEs often leave to the user the onus of taking the initiative both in exploring the environment and interacting with its parts. A possible solution to this problem is the exploitation of virtual humans acting as informal coaches or more formal instructors. For example, virtual humans can be employed to show and explain maintenance procedures, allowing learners to receive more practical explanations which are easier to understand. However, virtual humans are rarely used in Web3D EVEs, since the programming effort to develop and re-use them in different environments can be considerable. In this paper, we present a general architecture that allows content creators to easily integrate virtual humans into Web3D EVEs. To test the generality of our solution, we present two practical examples showing how the proposed architecture has been used in different educational contexts.  相似文献

A novel method for estimating the instantaneous phasor of a fault current signal is proposed for high-speed distance protection immune to a DC-offset. The method uses a modified notch filter in order to eliminate the fundamental frequency component from the fault current signal. Since the output of the modified notch filter is the delayed DC-offset, delay compensation results in the same waveform as the original DC-offset. Subtracting the obtained DC-offset from the fault current signal yields a sinusoidal waveform, which becomes the real part of the instantaneous phasor. The imaginary part of the instantaneous phasor is based on the first difference of the fault current signal. Since a DC-offset also appears in the first difference, the DC-offset is removed from the first difference using the results of the delay compensation. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated for a–phase to ground faults on a 345 kV 100 km overhead transmission line. The Electromagnetic Transient Program was used to generate fault current signals for different fault locations and fault inception angles. The performance evaluation showed that the proposed method can estimate the instantaneous phasor of a fault current signal with high speed and high accuracy. The paper concludes by describing the hardware implementation of the proposed method on a prototype unit based on a digital signal processor.  相似文献

为使多用户协作超宽带系统的资源分配算法能在有效利用系统资源的同时满足用户的服务质量QoS(Quality of Service)公平性需求,在纳什议价解方法和凸优化理论基础上,将合作博弈论方法用于协作多频带超宽带系统的资源优化分配中。提出以最大化系统净效用为目标,以用户的QoS需求为公平性指标的协作超宽带系统协作伙伴选择算法和自适应功率分配算法。通过仿真与最大化系统速率(max-rate)和最大化最小用户速率(max-min)公平性算法作比较,证明了该资源分配方法在最大化系统速率和用户QoS公平性两方面有很好的折衷,适于超宽带系统。  相似文献

选址问题目前学术界已有较多的研究成果,但大多数是将总费用作为目标函数,一般要求事先给出网络结点的位置坐标,且无需考虑结点间的最短路程,旨在确定新的地理几何中心。而对已有网络,在不改变原有路径及各结点位置的条件下,以总路程最小为目标函数,在现有网络结点中寻找其中某些结点的最优位置却是一个新的研究课题。本文以某高校校园卡充值点为例,将校园示意图转化为赋权连通图,求得该连通图的邻接矩阵,利用Floyd算法及图论软件包构造一个最短路径矩阵,得到一个赋权完全图,利用穷举法或混合整数规划法及数学软件求解,得到各学院、楼栋、学生宿舍区到三个校园卡充值点的最短总路程及三个校园卡充值点的最优位置。  相似文献
