ABSTRACT In this research, the effect of particle size on the surface oxidation and flotation behavior of galena in the lime system was studied. Coarse (?0.074 + 0.038 mm), intermediate (?0.038 + 0.025 mm) and fine (?0.025 mm) galena particles were used in the experiment. The dissolution tests, flotation tests, and sorption tests were accomplished. Through further analysis by XPS, the effect of particle size and lime was observed. The decrease of mineral particle sizes increased the adsorption ratio of collector and the dissolution of galena, while the hydrophilic product OH?/Ca(OH)+ produced by dissolution occupied the dominant position, which led to the minerals hydrophilic. 相似文献

A number of methods of surface preparation of tantalum for encapsulation in silicone rubber and for structural adhesive bonding were explored. The only ones which could be generally useful were boiling for 24 hours in distilled water (28% improvement) or boiling for 4 hours in 20% sodium hydroxide solution followed by boiling for 2 hours in dilute hydrochloric acid (34% improvement). In this paper, manufacturing technology of the tubular single lap adhesive joint was studied to obtain reliable and optimal joint quality. In addition, a surface preparation method and a bonding process for the joint were devised. The effect of the adhesive thickness and the adherend roughness on the fatigue strength of the joint was experimentally investigated. From experiments, it has been found that the fatigue strength of the joint increased as the adhesive thickness decreased and the optimal arithmetic surface roughness of the adherends was about 2 μm. 相似文献

The surface chemistry of methoxide (CH3O-) on the Ni(111) surface has been studied in the presence of hydrogen pressures up to 2 Torr. During heating in vacuum methoxide decomposes to H2 and CO, which desorb at 380 and 445 K, respectively. The CH3O-decomposition process is rate limited by CH bond breaking and exhibits a strong deuterium kinetic isotope effect in CD3O-. In the presence of ambient hydrogen pressures of 0.02–2.0 Torr both CH3O- and CD3O-are hydrogenated directly to methanol at 310 K. Micron‐sized polymer particles were coated with layers of nickel compounds by plating electrolessly in the presence of aqueous solutions of nickel chloride, sodium hypophosphite, sodium citrate, and ammonium chloride at elevated temperature. The uniform functional polymer particle could be obtained by seeded polymerization. To investigate the effect of surface functionality on the conditions for nickel deposition, the polymer particle was functionalized with the thiol group. The field of polymer/surfactant interaction is reviewed in this work. Results from two investigative methods,viz., dialysis and surface tension, are discussed, illustrating the main behavioral patterns and outlining the principles of the
interactions. Next, aspects of the interaction phenomena that appear to have relevance to detergent formulation are presented.
These include solution rheology, solubility control and surface conditioning. Lastly, the importance of surface activity of
