We present a novel approach for 3D human body shape model adaptation to a sequence of multi-view images, given an initial shape model and initial pose sequence. In a first step, the most informative frames are determined by optimization of an objective function that maximizes a shape–texture likelihood function and a pose diversity criterion (i.e. the model surface area that lies close to the occluding contours), in the selected frames. Thereafter, a batch-mode optimization is performed of the underlying shape- and pose-parameters, by means of an objective function that includes both contour and texture cues over the selected multi-view frames.Using above approach, we implement automatic pose and shape estimation using a three-step procedure: first, we recover initial poses over a sequence using an initial (generic) body model. Both model and poses then serve as input to the above mentioned adaptation process. Finally, a more accurate pose recovery is obtained by means of the adapted model.We demonstrate the effectiveness of our frame selection, model adaptation and integrated pose and shape recovery procedure in experiments using both challenging outdoor data and the HumanEva data set. 相似文献

Abstract— A novel green laser source, based on a monolithic cavity microchip laser platform, has been developed. The laser is designed to be a part of a miniature and efficient RGB light source for microdisplay‐based mobile projector devices. The use of highly efficient, periodically poled MgO‐doped lithium niobate as the non‐linear frequency doubler allows for a significant increase in the overall efficiency of the green microchip laser. Specifically, a 50–150‐mW green output with a wall‐plug efficiency exceeding 10% in the temperature range of greater than 40°C has been demonstrated. A compact package for this laser source with a volume less than 0.33 cm3 is discussed and results of performance tests are presented. 相似文献

This study presents a facial expression recognition system which separates the non-rigid facial expression from the rigid head rotation and estimates the 3D rigid head rotation angle in real time. The extracted trajectories of the feature points contain both rigid head motion components and non-rigid facial expression motion components. A 3D virtual face model is used to obtain accurate estimation of the head rotation angle such that the non-rigid motion components can be precisely separated to enhance the facial expression recognition performance. The separation performance of the proposed system is further improved through the use of a restoration mechanism designed to recover feature points lost during large pan rotations. Having separated the rigid and non-rigid motions, hidden Markov models (HMMs) are employed to recognize a prescribed set of facial expressions defined in terms of facial action coding system (FACS) action units (AUs). 相似文献

Schaeffer's sign language consists of a reduced set of gestures designed to help children with autism or cognitive learning disabilities to develop adequate communication skills. Our automatic recognition system for Schaeffer's gesture language uses the information provided by an RGB‐D camera to capture body motion and recognize gestures using dynamic time warping combined with k‐nearest neighbors methods. The learning process is reinforced by the interaction with the proposed system that accelerates learning itself thus helping both children and educators. To demonstrate the validity of the system, a set of qualitative experiments with children were carried out. As a result, a system which is able to recognize a subset of 11 gestures of Schaeffer's sign language online was achieved. 相似文献

Outdoor tasks operated by construction workers are physically demanding, requiring awkward postures leading to pain, injury, accident, or permanent disability. Ergonomic posture recognition (EPR) technique could be a novel solution for ergonomic hazard monitoring and assessment, yet non-intrusiveness and applicability in complex outdoor environment are always critical considerations for device selection in construction site. Thus, we choose RGB camera to capture skeleton motions, which is non-intrusive for workers compared with wearable sensors. It is also stable and widely used in an outdoor construction site considering various light conditions and complex working areas. This study aims to develop an ergonomic posture recognition technique based on 2D ordinary camera for construction hazard prevention through view-invariant features in 2D skeleton motion. Based on captured 2D skeleton motion samples in the test-run, view-invariant features as classifier inputs were extracted to ensure the learned classifier not sensitive to various camera viewpoints and distances to a worker. Three posture classifiers regarding human back, arms, and legs were employed to ensure three postures to be recognized simultaneously in one video frame. The average accuracies of three classifiers in 5-fold cross validation were as high as 95.0%, 96.5%, and 97.6%, respectively, and the overall accuracies tested by three new activities regarding ergonomic assessment scores captured from different camera heights and viewpoints were 89.2%, 88.3%, and 87.6%, respectively. The developed EPR-aided construction accident auto-prevention technique demonstrated robust accuracy to support on-site postural ergonomic assessment for construction workers’ safety and health assurance. 相似文献

针对传统彩色图像增强过程中的过度增强及空间变化所引起的信息丢失现象,在RGB空间提出一种基于数学形态学top-hat算法,以各分量标准差权重比例为调控因子的彩色图像增强方法。首先,提取R、G、B通道多尺度下的亮、暗细节特征,然后利用控制因子对有应用价值的细节特征进行增强,最后组合三个分量,得到增强的目标图像。实验结果表明,该方法能有效增强图像对比度,避免过度增强,且能很好地保持亮度,视觉效果良好。 相似文献

Abstract— Currently, three issues are identified that decide upon the commercial success of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs), both in display and lighting applications: power efficiency, lifetime, and price competitiveness. PIN OLEDs are widely seen as the preferred way to maximize power efficiency. Here, it is reported that this concept also delivers the world longest lifetimes. For a highly efficient deep‐red PIN OLED, a half‐lifetime of 25,000 hours for a starting brightness of 10,000 cd/m2 and a minimal voltage increase over lifetime is reported. This value corresponds to more than 1 × 106 hours at 1000 cd/m2 using an exponent of n = 1.7, which was measured by driving the OLEDs at different starting luminances. Because there is no initial luminance drop, these PIN OLEDs also exhibit a very high 80% lifetime (>300,000 hours at 1000 cd/m2). New record lifetime values for blue and green will be reported as well. Additionally, further topics that have impact on the production yield and cost such as the newly developed air‐stable organic n‐doping material NDN‐26 and top‐emitting structures will be discussed. 相似文献
