The optimal partition for linear programming is induced by any strictly complementary solution, and this partition is important
because it characterizes the optimal set. However, constructing a strictly complementary solution in the presence of degeneracy
was not practical until interior point algorithms became viable alternatives to the simplex algorithm. We develop analogs
of the optimal partition for linear programming in the case of multiple objectives and show that these new partitions provide
insight into the optimal set (both pareto optimality and lexicographic ordering are considered). Techniques to produce these
optimal partitions are provided, and examples from the design of radiotherapy plans show that these new partitions are useful.

Radiation damages due to 8 MeV electron irradiation in electrical properties of CuInSe2 thin films have been investigated. The n-type CuInSe2 films in which the carrier concentration was about 3×1016 cm−3, were epitaxially grown on a GaAs(0 0 1) substrate by RF diode sputtering. No significant change in the electrical properties was observed under the electron fluence <3×1016 e cm−2. As the electron fluence exceeded 1017 e cm−2, both the carrier concentration and Hall mobility slightly decreased. The carrier removal rate was estimated to be about 0.8 cm−1, which is slightly lower than that of III–V compound materials. 相似文献

Epitaxial (EPI) silicon has recently been investigated for the development of radiation tolerant detectors for future high-luminosity HEP experiments. A study of thick EPI silicon diodes irradiated with protons up to a fluence of has been performed by means of Charge Collection Efficiency (CCE) measurements, investigations with the Transient Current Technique (TCT) and standard CV/IV characterizations. The aim of the work was to investigate the impact of radiation damage as well as the influence of the wafer processing on the material performance by comparing diodes from different manufacturers. The changes of CCE, full depletion voltage and leakage current as a function of fluence are reported. While the generation of leakage current due to irradiation is similar in all investigated series of detectors, a difference in the effective doping concentration can be observed after irradiation. In the CCE measurements an anomalous drop in performance was found even for diodes exposed to very low fluences in all measured series. This result was confirmed for one series of diodes in TCT measurements with an infrared laser. TCT measurements with a red laser showed no type inversion up to fluences of for n-type devices whereas p-type diodes undergo type inversion from p- to n-type for fluences higher than . 相似文献

We report the production of carbon nanotubes by high dose of electron irradiation. The irradiation was performed with a 2 MeV Van de Graaff accelerator, while the irradiation conditions were the following: voltage 1.3 MeV, current 5 µA, dose rate 25 kGy/min, and total dosage 1000 kGy. The samples were analyzed in a high-resolution transmission electron microscope. The main features observed on the samples, were huge nanotubes of several nanometer long and few nanometer wide, which are capped at one end. It is good to point out, that at this level of irradiation, we were not able to find either onion-like or particle structures throughout the material, as it is usual in similar hexagonal structures.
