A method for quantifying cell size from differential interference contrast images: validation and application to osmotically stressed chondrocytes

An automatic image analysis method was developed to determine the shape and size of spheroidal cells from a time series of differential interference contrast (DIC) images. The program incorporates an edge detection algorithm and dynamic programming for edge linking. To assess the accuracy and working range of the method, results from DIC images of different focal planes and resolutions were compared to confocal images in which the cell membrane was fluorescently labelled. The results indicate that a 1‐µm focal drift from the in‐focus plane can lead to an overestimation of cell volume up to 14.1%, mostly due to shadowing effects of DIC microscopy. DIC images allow for accurate measurements when the focal plane lies in a zone slightly above the centre of a spherical cell. In this range the method performs with 1.9% overall volume error without taking into account the error introduced by the representation of the cell as a sphere. As a test case, the method was applied to quantify volume changes due to acute changes of osmotic stress.     

fsh—A functional unix command interpreter

Command interpreters under the UNIX operating system typically employ the syntax and semantics of imperative programming languages. Many of the advantages that functional programming languages hold over imperative languages can be incorporated in a functional command interpreter. Unfortunately, functional command interpreters to date have used the syntax of Backus's FP. The advantages of command expressiveness and composition have not been appreciated. A powerful functional command interpreter, fsh, that overcomes many of the deterrents of previous functional command interpreters is presented. Much of the unnecessary complexity of existing UNIX command interpreters is avoided by following the functional paradigm. fsh has been implemented under the UNIX 4.2BSD and System V operating systems.     

Using linear models in optimizing parameters of time-triggered protocols

A mechanism of synchronization of components of distributed systems in which communications are based on a common time schedule for all system components is illustrated by examples of simple Time-Triggered Protocols. For parametric linear models of synchronization, the optimization problem is considered for a parameter that should exclude the overlapping of messages in communication channels. 用面向对象编程实现问题求解自动化

本文从面向对象方法基本原理和面向对象编程的技术特征出发，阐明所建应用软件系统中的对象，类及相应类层次结构和类组合结构，使系统具有很强的表现真空世界复杂系统结构的能力，系统通过消息传递在程序执行中实现对操作的调用机制，使之在面向用户问题选择和执行求解策略方面有很强的适应性，这一点对于强调人－机交互和解题协作的智能决策支持系统设计至关重要，文章给出了用Ｃ＋＋实现的模型对象系统及消息传递机制。     

基于Matlab的线性规划问题求解

线性规划是运筹学中研究较早、发展较快、应用广泛、方法成熟的一个重要分支,它是辅助人们进行科学管理的一种重要的数学方法.文章首先介绍了线性规划的基本概念及标准形式,着重讨论了线性规划问题的三种常用解法:单纯形法、直接搜索法以及遗传算法,最后在Matlab R2009a环境下进行了仿真.通过结果可以看出,用Matlab求解线性规划问题,可以避免手工的烦琐计算,大大地提高工作效率和结果的准确性.

本文阐述了知识与技能的关系,以及C++程序设计教学中知识和技能的双重性要求。以选择语句为例,演示了"先知识后技能"的教学过程。实践证明,这样的教学安排行之有效。     

基于模型修正技术的模拟集成电路几何规划优化方法

为了兼顾模拟集成电路设计优化的求解精度和计算效率,提出一种基于正项式模型修正技术的几何规划优化方法.首先将模拟集成电路的设计目标与约束简化为正项式模型,然后在采用几何规划方法迭代优化的过程中利用晶体管级SPICE仿真不断修正这一正项式模型.实例表明,与传统基于公式的优化方法和基于仿真的优化方法相比,该方法能够在尽量保证计算效率和全局最优解的前提下使优化精度满足晶体管级SPICE仿真的要求.     

智能家居远程视频监控系统的设计与实现

针对传统模拟视频监控中图像质量差、无法联网、不可移植等不足,设计了一种基于嵌入式Linux的智能家居远程视频监控系统。远程视频监控系统以ARM（Advanced RISC Machines）处理器S3C2440和Linux操作系统为核心平台。在内核中添加了各种所需的驱动程序,基于V4L2的应用程序对USB摄像头进行图像视频采集,采用TCP/IP网络协议,进行视频数据传输。主机端采用跨平台开发工具Qt开发应用程序,接收图像视频数据并显示图像视频。实验结果显示,能在远程端看到清晰流畅的视频流,系统运行稳定可靠。     

动态规划法求解加工顺序问题的研究

提出动态规划法求解加工顺序问题的方法,分析最优子结构性质,建立最优值的递归关系式,分析Johnson-Bell-man’s Rule并设计算法流程,最后通过构造实例表明了算法的有效性。
