Image preview is a convenient way to browse large or multiple images on small displays. However, current signal-level image
resampling algorithms may remove many features of interest in the preview image. In this paper, we propose perceptual image
preview which retains more perceptual features such that users can inspect features of interest by viewing the preview image
only and without zooming in. This technology has two components, structure enhancement and perceptual feature visualization.
Structure enhancement enhances the image structure while suppressing subtle details using a gradient modulation method, thus
making the succedent perceptual features more apparent. For perceptual feature visualization, features of interest detected
in the picture is visualized on the structure enhanced preview image. We demonstrate with two examples of most commonly used image quality features, image blur and noise. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated

With the development of information technologies, various types of streaming images are generated, such as videos, graphics, Virtual Reality (VR)/omnidirectional images (OIs), etc. Among them, the OIs usually have a broader view and a higher resolution, which provides human an immersive visual experience in a head-mounted display. However, the current image quality assessment works cannot achieve good performance without considering representative human visual features and visual viewing characteristics of OIs, which limited OIs’ further development. Motivated by the above problem, this work proposes a blind omnidirectional image quality assessment (BOIQA) model based on representative features and viewport oriented statistical features. Specifically, we apply the local binary pattern operator to encoder the cross-channel color information, and apply the weighted LBP to extract the structural features. Then the local natural scene statistics (NSS) features are extracted by using the viewport sampling to boost the performance. Finally, we apply support vector regression to predict the OIs’ quality score, and experimental results on CVIQD2018 and OIQA2018 Databases prove that the proposed model achieves better performance than state-of-the-art OIQA models. 相似文献

在室内环境下的机器人视觉导航任务中,可行驶区域检测是不可或缺的一部分,这是保证自动驾驶任务实现的基础.目前较多的解决方法是对数据集中出现过的障碍物进行识别来检测可行驶区域,缺乏灵活性,因此本文提出了一种针对地铁站等室内平坦地面的可行驶区域检测方法,提高实用性.本文采用经典的MobileNetV3网络对采集到的前方图像进行分类,判断是否为地面区域.由于室内地面的地标、箭头等贴纸的影响,因此需要对非地面区域进一步判断,与常规的立体障碍物进行区分.本文利用连续帧之间的特征点匹配获得相机移动距离,并利用直线拟合计算斜率的方法达到区分立体障碍物与平面地标的目的.实验表明,本文提出的方法能较好地检测机器人前方可行驶区域,具有较高的实用价值. 相似文献

脉冲宽度调制(PWM)整流电路结构日益复杂,对其可靠运行提出了更高的要求;对局域均值分解(LMD)用于PWM整流电路的故障特征提取进行研究,提出一种基于LMD和加权频带能量法的特征提取新方法;该方法通过逐步抽取调频调幅成分将故障信号在频域上展开,然后基于信号能量的频带分布特点,充分考虑各频带成分与故障的相关性,构造故障特征向量,实现特征提取;最后以PWM整流电路为例进行仿真,相电压380V,仿真时间0.5s,0.1s时注入故障;结果表明,该方法能有效地提取故障信号的特征,并降低特征向量的维数。 相似文献

The diagnosis of COVID-19 requires chest computed tomography (CT). High-resolution CT images can provide more diagnostic information to help doctors better diagnose the disease, so it is of clinical importance to study super-resolution (SR) algorithms applied to CT images to improve the resolution of CT images. However, most of the existing SR algorithms are studied based on natural images, which are not suitable for medical images; and most of these algorithms improve the reconstruction quality by increasing the network depth, which is not suitable for machines with limited resources. To alleviate these issues, we propose a residual feature attentional fusion network for lightweight chest CT image super-resolution (RFAFN). Specifically, we design a contextual feature extraction block (CFEB) that can extract CT image features more efficiently and accurately than ordinary residual blocks. In addition, we propose a feature-weighted cascading strategy (FWCS) based on attentional feature fusion blocks (AFFB) to utilize the high-frequency detail information extracted by CFEB as much as possible via selectively fusing adjacent level feature information. Finally, we suggest a global hierarchical feature fusion strategy (GHFFS), which can utilize the hierarchical features more effectively than dense concatenation by progressively aggregating the feature information at various levels. Numerous experiments show that our method performs better than most of the state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods on the COVID-19 chest CT dataset. In detail, the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) is 0.11 dB and 0.47 dB higher on CTtest1 and CTtest2 at SR compared to the suboptimal method, but the number of parameters and multi-adds are reduced by 22K and 0.43G, respectively. Our method can better recover chest CT image quality with fewer computational resources and effectively assist in COVID-19. 相似文献

This paper presents new a feature transformation technique applied to improve the screening accuracy for the automatic detection of pathological voices. The statistical transformation is based on Hidden Markov Models, obtaining a transformation and classification stage simultaneously and adjusting the parameters of the model with a criterion that minimizes the classification error. The original feature vectors are built up using classic short-term noise parameters and mel-frequency cepstral coefficients. With respect to conventional approaches found in the literature of automatic detection of pathological voices, the proposed feature space transformation technique demonstrates a significant improvement of the performance with no addition of new features to the original input space. In view of the results, it is expected that this technique could provide good results in other areas such as speaker verification and/or identification. 相似文献

During the past decade, feature extraction and knowledge acquisition based on video analysis have been extensively researched and tested on many applications such as closed-circuit television(CCTV)data analysis, large-scale public event control, and other daily security monitoring and surveillance operations with various degrees of success. However, since the actual video process is a multi-phased one and encompasses extensive theories and techniques ranging from fundamental image processing, computational geometry and graphics, and machine vision, to advanced artificial intelligence, pattern analysis, and even cognitive science, there are still many important problems to resolve before it can be widely applied. Among them, video event identification and detection are two prominent ones. Comparing with the most popular frame-to-frame processing mode of most of today's approaches and systems, this project reorganizes video data as a 3D volume structure that provides the hybrid spatial and temporal information in a unified space. This paper reports an innovative technique to transform original video frames to 3D volume structures denoted by spatial and temporal features. It then highlights the volume array structure in a so-called "pre-suspicion" mechanism for a later process. The focus of this report is the development of an effective and efficient voxel-based segmentation technique suitable to the volumetric nature of video events and ready for deployment in 3D clustering operations. This paper describes a cluster-based method for combining differently exposed images in order to increase their dynamic range. Initially an image is decomposed into a set of arbitrary shaped regions. For each region we compute a utility function which is based on the amount of presented information and an entropy. This function is used to select the most appropriate exposure for each region. After the exposures are selected, a bilateral filtering is applied in order to make the interregional transitions smooth. As a result we obtain weighting coefficients for each exposure and pixel. An output image is combined from clusters of input images using weights. Each pixel of the output image is calculated as a weighted sum of exposures. The proposed method allows recovering details from overexposed and underexposed parts of image without producing additional noise. Our experiments show effectiveness of the algorithm for the high dynamic range scenes. It requires no information about shutter speed or camera parameters. This method shows robust results even if the exposure difference between input images is 2-stops or higher. 相似文献
