Looking for more active and motivating methodological alternatives from the students’ perspective, which promote analysis and investigation abilities that make the student a more participative agent and some learning processes are facilitated, a practical study was conducted in the University of La Sabana (Chía, Colombia), in Computing Engineering (INF) and Agroindustrial Production Engineering (IPA) academic programs under the guiding question: Is Second Life an attractive tool for students, does it increment motivation, promote participation and facilitate learning processes in electronic related subjects in Engineering degrees?Second Life (SL) platform was then used as a traditional on-site class complement in electronic related subjects. A follow up was conducted with several groups during a year and a half, some students followed the subject with the traditional on-site methodology and others did it following a mixed methodology that combined traditional on-site lessons with virtual sessions trough SL, making a comparison and applying a quantitative as well as a qualitative methodology for the information analysis and recollection.After the specified study period it was found that using SL as part of the methodology, increments motivation toward electronic related subjects, and promotes participation and investigation, due to the fact that this tool makes learning possible in a funnier, more interactive and deeper way than if it had been taught in a master class. Having real-time access from a virtual classroom to all types of audiovisual information, helps more senses get involved in the learning process, making it more effective; nevertheless a weakness was detected related to the attention and concentration: students tend to get distracted, because their classroom is the computer and from there they have access not only to the many worlds of SL but to all the social networks and the Internet in general. 相似文献

In recent years, educators and students are increasingly employing online collaboration applications such as Google Docs™ and PBWorks™ for group projects and assignments. Yet, the effectiveness of these emerging technologies has not been rigorously examined. Anchoring upon and informed by the existing literature, two design characteristics – sociability and visibility, and two human characteristics – gender and age, are focused on, which are salient in online collaboration applications. A field experiment was conducted to examine the direct and moderating effects of design and human characteristics on learning outcomes. The research found that sociability improved process satisfaction and positive social environment while visibility enhanced academic performance and solution satisfaction of learners. Males had higher solution satisfaction while older learners had higher academic performance. Moderating effects were also found. Both theoretical and practical implications are drawn. In particular, a rubric for online collaboration application selection for academic performance is conceived. This study provides empirical support for online collaboration application effectiveness in education which will augur well for future adoption, use and evolution. 相似文献

采用遗传算法建立贝叶斯网络的优化学习结构,一直是贝叶斯网络研究倍受关注的课题.传统遗传算法的个体设计存在需要反复进行无环性检验的问题,降低了进化效率.针对这个问题,提出一种新的个体编码方式.考虑到进化过程中家族得分的可继承性,提出基于家族继承的结构评分改进算法,进而设计相应的改进遗传算法.实验结果表明,改进算法在BN建网精度与效率上都得到明显提升. 相似文献

Examines the equilibration theory of Piaget (learning vs development, stage transitions) to make more explicit the methodological foundations of B. Inhelder et al (1974). In this connection, the "problem-solving" learning method used by these authors is analyzed by means of the new concept of "learning loops." Similarly, the successful equilibration learning method used by M. Lefebvre and A. Pinard (1974) is analyzed and shown to involve executive facilitation and chunking (coordination) of 2 crucial schemes. 设计完成和比较了基于Kohonen自组织网络的Kohonen聚类网络(Kohonen Clustering Network, KCN)、模糊Kohonen聚类网络(Fluzzy KCN, FKCN)和基于进化规划的Kohonen聚类网络(Evalutionary Programming based KCN, EPKCN)三种聚类算法在遥感土地利用/覆盖分类中的应用。结果表明三种非监督学习方法在进行遥感土地利用/覆盖分类过程中,在分类性能上有显著差异。EPKCN分类目视效果最好,单次迭代的速度最快;FKCN总的收敛速度最快;而按遥感土地利用/覆盖分类要求而言,EPKCN方法在三种分类方法中效果最好,因此可采用该算法进行遥感土地利用/覆盖的非参数分类。 相似文献
