Electrochemical synthesis of poly(N-methylpyrrole) films on copper electrodes from an aqueous oxalic acid has been achieved. A potential higher than 2 V (SCE) was needed to generate the polymer, for this reason, the polymer was in the overoxidized state. The inhibiting corrosion properties of this coating on copper were investigated for the first time in aqueous 0.1 M sodium chloride solution using potentiodynamic polarization, Tafel analyses, open-circuit potential and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Corrosion protection properties comparable to those of polypyrrole (PPy) films were observed for these films. A physical barrier effect is the most likely protection mechanism. 相似文献

Large-area solar cells (active area=3 and 10 cm2) were prepared with low band gap polymers based on thiophene and benzothiadiazole (1) or thiophene and benzo-bis(thiadiazole) (2). The band gaps of the polymers were 1.65 and 0.67 eV, respectively. The best photovoltaic performance was obtained for the device ITO/PEDOT/1:PCBM (1:2)/Al with an active area of 3 cm2. The efficiency of the device was 0.62%. This is a high efficiency for a low band gap polymer in a large-area organic solar cell and thus polymer 1 is a very promising material for organic solar cells. The devices based on 2 were found to give poor devices when employed in bulk heterojunctions with PCBM. This was linked to a poor alignment of the energy levels in 2 with that of the electrodes and PCBM, showing that the requirement for a control of the positions of the energy levels becomes increasingly important as the band gap decreases. 相似文献

A perfluoroalkyl‐terminated multiarm star polymer (perfluoroalkyl‐terminated hyperbranched polyglycerol) was synthesized and characterized on the basis of perfluorooctanoyl chloride grafting on hyperbranched polyglycerol. The conductivity of a blend of the perfluoroalkyl‐terminated star polymer and linear poly(ether urethane) was studied. The results indicated that this blend had better solvating capability in salt and higher ionic conductivity. Adhesive‐coated glass fibers (3 and 6 mm in length) were added at loadings of 10, 20, and 30 phr in natural rubber (NR), nitrile rubber (NBR), and ethylene–propylene–diene comonomer (EPDM) formulations in both plain and carbon black mixes. The compounds were mixed in a two‐roll mill and were characterized for their cure properties, tensile, tear, and Mullin's effect. In NR mixes, all of the formulations showed reversion in cure behavior, suggesting that NR remained unaffected. In NBR and EPDM mixes, almost all of the mechanical properties of the fiber improved.
