Pedotransfer functions (PTFs) have routinely been used to estimate the soil hydraulic properties (SHPs) from easily measurable soil properties, such as particle-size distribution, organic matter content and bulk density. However, different PTFs often yielded different prediction results. In order to deal with the PTF selection problem, this study used multimodel ensemble approaches to simulate forest soil moisture based on the modelling results of different PTFs. A total of 300 days of observed soil moisture data at four depths (10-, 20-, 40- and 60-cm) were adopted to calibrate the Richards equation and obtain the SHPs by using the inverse option in HYDRUS-1D. Six published PTFs were selected to predict the SHPs, which were used to predict soil moisture temporal variations at these four different depths. Two multimodel ensemble methods, including the simple model average (SMA) and the multiple linear regression (MLR)-based superensemble, were used in this study. Under different selections of training periods (i.e. 50, 100 and 150 days), performances of these multimodel ensemble approaches were compared with those of the best single PTF model. The SMA always had worse performance than the best single model. However, the performances of the superensemble approach were better than those of the best single model, and even comparable to those of the calibrated soil water flow model. Results show that given the relatively long training period (>50 days), it is worthwhile to consider the superensemble method to simulate soil moisture contents in forestland.  相似文献

The nanostructure of stretched and nonstretched PVDF samples was studied by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). The crystallinity of the samples was determined by wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and crystalline phases by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The nanostructure can be described by a lamellar stacking of crystalline and amorphous layers, with a fairly well defined long period D and a diffuse-boundary in the interface between the crystalline and amorphous phases. The crystallinity of the stretched sample was found to be greater than that of the nonstretched sample. The long period D and the thicknesses of the crystalline lamellae Tc were found to be greater in the stretched sample than those in the nonstretched sample. The thickness of the diffuse-boundary was evaluated as being ∼ 1.4 nm in the nonstretched sample and 1.1 nm in the stretched sample. It was concluded that the growth of the thickness of the crystalline layer induced by the stretching process (stretch-induced crystallization) occurs partially at expense of the diffuse boundary and also by the coarsening of the structure with the stretching process, because of the diminution in the surface area to volume ratio observed. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 根据以往学者的研究成果,本文采用粘弹性人工边界模拟土体的边界条件,建立了考虑土体剪切波速、盆地倾角,场地覆土层厚度不同参数影响的盆地二维有限元模型,分别分析了土体在弹性与塑性本构关系下相关参数对场地盆地效应的影响规律,得到以下结论:盆地与自由场相比波峰出现比较密集,且消退较慢,延长了地震动的持时;场地内的土体越软,覆土层越厚,盆地效应越明显;盆地边缘效应随盆地倾角的增大而增大,而聚焦效应随盆地倾角的增大而减小;当考虑土体的非线性本构时,由于土体进入塑性,入射正弦波能量由于土的塑性变形已经耗散,盆地较自由场的放大更加明显,盆地效应更加突出。  相似文献

As one of the bases of gradient-based optimization algorithms, sensitivity analysis is usually required to calculate the derivatives of the system response with respect to the machining parameters. The most widely used approaches for sensitivity analysis are based on time-consuming numerical methods, such as finite difference methods. This paper presents a semi-analytical method for calculation of the sensitivity of the stability boundary in milling. After transforming the delay-differential equation with time-periodic coefficients governing the dynamic milling process into the integral form, the Floquet transition matrix is constructed by using the numerical integration method. Then, the analytical expressions of derivatives of the Floquet transition matrix with respect to the machining parameters are obtained. Thereafter, the classical analytical expression of the sensitivity of matrix eigenvalues is employed to calculate the sensitivity of the stability lobe diagram. The two-degree-of-freedom milling example illustrates the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. Compared with the existing methods, the unique merit of the proposed method is that it can be used for analytically computing the sensitivity of the stability boundary in milling, without employing any finite difference methods. Therefore, the high accuracy and high efficiency are both achieved. The proposed method can serve as an effective tool for machining parameter optimization and uncertainty analysis in high-speed milling.  相似文献

Abstract

There is a need for standardized methods for testing vehicle seats. Such methods would allow for the direct comparison of the merits of seats of diverse types and designs. At the present time standardized testing procedures are not possible because the dynamic characteristics of the human subjects occupying the seat during testing vary widely from man to man and affect the seat response. Testing with dead weight loading does not accurately portray the dynamic characteristics of the seat. A damped spring-mass system closely approximating to the dynamic characteristics of a seated man to vertical modes of vibration has been developed as the basis on which a standardized vehicle seat testing procedure can be built. Analysis of the problem by means of mechanical impedance techniques indicated that a two-degree-of-freedom system was sufficient to simulate the major dynamic characteristics of man in the frequencies below 10 Hz where seat vibration is most severe. Test procedures have been developed which utilize the man-simulator as the seat load. Results of these tests will be useful because they do not contain the subject variable and therefore can be compared directly with results obtained in other laboratories using the same methods.  相似文献

A hierarchical domain decomposition boundary element method (HDD-BEM) that was developed to solve a two-dimensional neutron diffusion equation has been modified to deal with three-dimensional problems. In the HDD-BEM, the domain is decomposed into homogeneous regions. The boundary conditions on the common inner boundaries between decomposed regions and the neutron multiplication factor are initially assumed. With these assumptions, the neutron diffusion equations defined in decomposed homogeneous regions can be solved respectively by applying the boundary element method. This part corresponds to the “lower level” calculations. At the “higher level” calculations, the assumed values, the inner boundary conditions and the neutron multiplication factor, are modified so as to satisfy the continuity conditions for the neutron flux and the neutron currents on the inner boundaries. These procedures of the lower and higher levels are executed alternately and iteratively until the continuity conditions are satisfied within a convergence tolerance. With the hierarchical domain decomposition, it is possible to deal with problems composing a large number of regions, something that has been difficult with the conventional BEM. In this paper, it is showed that a three-dimensional problem even with 722 regions can be solved with a fine accuracy and an acceptable computation time.  相似文献

This study deals with linear and weakly non-linear stability analyses of Brinkman–Bènard convection in nanoliquid-saturated porous enclosures. Water with a dilute concentration of molybdenum disulfide nanoparticles with 0.06 volume fraction and 30% glass fiber-reinforced polycarbonate as a porous medium with porosity 0.88 are considered to be a working medium. The analytical solution is obtained in the present study for idealistic and realistic boundary conditions, and their results are compared. An analytically intractable Lorenz model with quadratic nonlinearities is reduced to a tractable Ginzburg–Landau amplitude equation with cubic nonlinearity using the multiscale method. Nanoparticles with different shapes are considered in the study, and their effects on the onset and heat transfer are discussed in great detail graphically in the presence of other parameters arising in the problem.  相似文献
