Time–frequency localized three-band biorthogonal wavelet filter bank using semidefinite relaxation and nonlinear least squares with epileptic seizure EEG signal classification

In this paper, we design time–frequency localized three-band biorthogonal linear phase wavelet filter bank for epileptic seizure electroencephalograph (EEG) signal classification. Time–frequency localized analysis and synthesis low-pass filters (LPF) are designed using convex semidefinite programming (SDP) by transforming a nonconvex problem into a convex SDP using semidefinite relaxation technique. Three-band parameterized lattice biorthogonal linear phase perfect reconstruction filter bank (BOLPPRFB) is chosen and nonlinear least squares algorithm is used to determine its parameters values that generate the designed analysis and synthesis LPF such that the band-pass and high-pass filters are also well localized in time and frequency domain. The designed analysis and synthesis three-band wavelet filter banks are compared with the standard two-band filter banks like Daubechies maximally regular filter banks, Cohen–Daubechies–Feauveau (CDF) biorthogonal filter banks and orthogonal time–frequency localized filter banks. Kruskal–Wallis statistical test is employed to measure the statistical significance of the subband features obtained from the various two and three-band filter banks for epileptic seizure EEG signal classification. The results show that the designed three-band analysis and synthesis filter banks both outperform two-band filter banks in the classification of seizure and seizure-free EEG signals. The designed three-band filter banks and multi-layer perceptron neural network (MLPNN) are further used together to implement a signal classifier that provides classification accuracy better than the recently reported results for epileptic seizure EEG signal classification.     

A credit ranking model for a parafinancial company based on the ELECTRE-III method and a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm

Credit rating is an assessment performed by lenders or financial institutions to determine a person’s creditworthiness based on the proposed terms of the loan. Frequently, these institutions use rating models to obtain estimates for the probabilities of default for their clients (companies, organizations, government, and individuals) and to assess the risk of credit portfolios. Numerous statistical and data mining methods are used to develop such models. In this paper, the potential of a multicriteria decision-aiding approach is studied. As a first step, the proposed methodology models the problem as a multicriteria evaluation process with multiple and in some cases, conflicting dimensions, which are integrated to derive sound recommendation for DMs. The second step of the methodology involves building a multicriteria outranking model based on ELECTRE III method. An evolutionary algorithm is used to exploit the outranking model. The methodology is applied to a small-scale financial institution operating in the agricultural sector. We compare loan applications based on their attributes and the credit profile of the customer or credit applicant. Our methodology offers the flexibility of combining heterogeneous information together with the preferences of decision makers (DMs), generating both relative and fixed rules for selecting the best loan applications among new and existing customers, which is an improvement over traditional methods The results reveal that outranking models are well suited to credit rating, providing good ranking results and suitable understanding on the relative importance of the evaluation criteria.

南水北调中线小南河串流片防洪水位计算

传统的多河流串流计算主要采用水库联调的方法,把串流的各条河流概化为静态水库,库水位水平且不考虑横向流动。为解决串流区水流的横向流动及水面线并不总像库水位一样水平的问题,采用二维非恒定流数学模型计算串流区洪水演进。通过概化地形、考虑入流、糙率、边界条件和水流的横向流动等因素,计算出了整个串流区域的水面线、水深、流速、出流等水力要素,并给出洪水演进模拟图,为确定河流与总干渠交叉建筑物的规模、总干渠左岸沿线水面线和对沿线村庄、农田的防洪影响提供了可靠的依据。

用水信用与风险管理系统

系统采用Oracle数据库作为开发平台,VB.net为开发工具研制而成。系统借鉴银行和电力企业信用等级评价的规则,结合水司水费收缴的历史纪录及各客户的实际情况,运用自动采集程序,从原有的营销系统和财务系统自动录入数据,再通过优化的模糊概率、神经网络程序,对用户进行交纳水费信用等级评定,建立客户交纳水费风险预警机制。

银证联网系统的方案与实现

根据银行业务零售业务部门的总体要求,确定了银证联网的系统方案,具体实施过程中,选取了有关业务的中间件,结合银行、证券两端开发的程序,完成了银证联网的业务需求,最后就银证联网安全性这一敏感问题,进行分析和诊断,并提出措施。     

生态袋辅助覆盖型岸坡结构在寒区河流生态修复中的应用

本文主要将生态型岸坡结构技术与植物种植技术相结合,针对河道贫瘠岸坡等自然生态脆弱衰退区,选择适应于寒区的生态型材料及岸坡结构型式,采用或坡型或垂直型岸坡结构进行岸坡加固,使其既可以满足工程安全要求,又可以使生态系统实现自身修复。该岸坡结构适应范围较广,基本不受地形、坡高、有无水体的限制,既可以解决中小河流的生态修复问题,又可以用于高陡、贫瘠、崩塌山体、库岸等岸坡的生态修复。为寒区生态护岸工程提供了一种新的思路,并且在实践中已取得了良好效果,具有较好的应用前景和推广价值。
