Discourse cues to deception in the case of multiple receivers

Behavioral cues to deception are instrumental in detecting deception. As one of the primary sources of deception behavior, text has been analyzed at the level of sub-sentence or message but not the discourse of interaction. Additionally, empirical studies on cues to deception in the case of multiple receivers remain nonexistent. To fill these voids, we propose a discourse framework and six hypotheses about deception behaviors in a multi-receiver environment. The deception behaviors are operationalized by discourse features based on an analysis of real-world data. The results of statistical analysis validate the efficacy of discourse features in discriminating deceivers from truth-tellers.

Polymer/surfactant interaction—Its relevance to detergent systems

The field of polymer/surfactant interaction is reviewed in this work. Results from two investigative methods,viz., dialysis and surface tension, are discussed, illustrating the main behavioral patterns and outlining the principles of the interactions. Next, aspects of the interaction phenomena that appear to have relevance to detergent formulation are presented. These include solution rheology, solubility control and surface conditioning. Lastly, the importance of surface activity of the polymer itself is stressed, culminating in a discussion of the properties of hydrophobically modified water-soluble polymers (“polymeric surfactants”), both alone and in the presence of conventional surfactants. Based on the Samuel Rosen Memorial Award lecture, given at the AOCS Annual Meeting, Anaheim, CA, April 1993.

针对雷达阵地的防护特点,运用对策论的基本原理探索雷达阵地综合防护效能分析问题.构建了雷达阵地综合防护效能分析指标体系,结合对策论建立了评估模型,并用实例检验该方法具有较好的应用价值.     

资源生产供应链履行社会责任的内在动力研究

运用博弈论的基本思想,通过构造一个资源生产供应链,从资源保护这个角度出发,以资源生产供应链中的节点企业——资源开采商开采自然资源为例,对资源生产供应链履行社会责任的内在动力进行了研究。结果表明：对资源开采商合作开采带来的收益增量进行合理分配,既能使资源开采商进行合作,又能实现供应链系统与各资源开采商的帕累托最优。     

A social interaction system based on cloud computing for mobile video telephony

As the use of smartphones become popular,people heavily depend on smartphone applications to deal with their social activities.For this reason,traditional message texting between mobile applications does not fulfill the versatile requirements of social networking.Many mobile applications use multimodality to deliver multimedia messages including sticker,voice and photo message,video call,and snap movie to enhance the communicative capability.However,without face-to-face interaction,people may fail to detect the other side’s non-verbal social behavior such as fine-grain facial expressions,body movements,or hand gesture.During social interaction,non-verbal behavior conveys information about the involved individuals and help the speakers express their social emotion in an implicit way.It is so important for real-world face-to-face interaction but is often blocked on the mobile telephony.To cope with this problem,we propose an afective computing model to assist the representation of social emotion and then help the progress of social interaction on the mobile telephony.In this model,for the purpose of real-time afective analysis,we delegate the computing loading to the cloud side service and enhance the system’s scalability and availability.The result of this experiment approves the feasibility of our system design for the applications of social intelligent.Also,the system provides a research framework of the social intelligent system on the mobile telephony.     

NETEM阅读部分的真实性分析

从真实性的角度出发,利用Bachman的任务特征框架分析了NETEM阅读理解部分对考生交际语言能力的测试.分析表明,NETEM在输入材料方面有较高的真实性,任务涉及的语言能力的真实性也有很大的提高.但从输入与回答之间的关系看,个别题目未能体现交际语言能力的特点,仍有待改进.     

Protein interaction networks: centrality,modularity, dynamics,and applications

In the post-genomic era, proteomics has achieved significant theoretical and practical advances with the development of high-throughput technologies. Especially the rapid accumulation of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) provides a foundation for constructing protein interaction networks (PINs), which can furnish a new perspective for understanding cellular organizations, processes, and functions at network level. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey on three main characteristics of PINs: centrality, modularity, and dynamics. 1) Different centrality measures, which are used to calculate the importance of proteins, are summarized based on the structural characteristics of PINs or on the basis of its integrated biological information; 2) Different modularity definitions and various clustering algorithms for predicting protein complexes or identifying functional modules are introduced; 3) The dynamics of proteins, PPIs and sub-networks are discussed, respectively. Finally, the main applications of PINs in the complex diseases are reviewed, and the challenges and future research directions are also discussed.     

Self-excited vibration problems of maglev vehicle-bridge interaction system

The self-excited vibration problems of maglev vehicle-bridge interaction system were addressed, which greatly degrades the stability of the levitation control, decreases the ride comfort, and restricts the cost of the whole system. Firstly, the coupled model containing the quintessential parts was built, and the mechanism of self-excited vibration was explained in terms of energy transmission from levitation system to bridge. Then, the influences of the parameters of the widely used integral-type proportion and derivation（PD） controller and the delay of signals on the stability of the interaction system were analyzed. The result shows that the integral-type PD control is a nonoptimal approach to solve the self-excited vibration completely. Furthermore, the differential-type PD controller can guarantee the passivity of levitation system at full band. However, the differentiation of levitation gap should be filtered by a low-pass filter due to noise of gap differentiation. The analysis indicates that a well tuned low-pass filter can still keep the coupled system stable.
