We consider the behaviour of a stochastic system composed of several identically distributed, but non independent, discrete-time absorbing Markov chains competing at each instant for a transition. The competition consists in determining at each instant, using a given probability distribution, the only Markov chain allowed to make a transition. We analyse the first time at which one of the Markov chains reaches its absorbing state. When the number of Markov chains goes to infinity, we analyse the asymptotic behaviour of the system for an arbitrary probability mass function governing the competition. We give conditions that ensure the existence of the asymptotic distribution and we show how these results apply to cluster-based distributed storage when the competition is handled using a geometric distribution. 相似文献

We present a novel framework for polyhedral mesh editing with face‐based projective maps that preserves planarity by definition. Such meshes are essential in the field of architectural design and rationalization. By using homogeneous coordinates to describe vertices, we can parametrize the entire shape space of planar‐preserving deformations with bilinear equations. The generality of this space allows for polyhedral geometric processing methods to be conducted with ease. We demonstrate its usefulness in planar‐quadrilateral mesh subdivision, a resulting multi‐resolution editing algorithm, and novel shape‐space exploration with prescribed transformations. Furthermore, we show that our shape space is a discretization of a continuous space of conjugate‐preserving projective transformation fields on surfaces. Our shape space directly addresses planar‐quad meshes, on which we put a focus, and we further show that our framework naturally extends to meshes with faces of more than four vertices as well. 相似文献

This work shows how to use a differential geometry tool to design a novel nonlinear active fault tolerant flight control system for aircraft. The proposed control scheme consists of two main subsystems: a controller, which is designed for the nominal plant, and a fault detection and diagnosis module, which provides fault estimation. A further feedback loop exploits the fault estimation to accommodate faults affecting the system. The estimate convergence and the stability of the active fault tolerant flight controller are theoretically proved. Finally, high fidelity simulations show the effectiveness of the scheme. 相似文献

A weight loss technique was used to determine the corrosion inhibition efficiency of synthesized alkyl mono-and dibenzoate
triethanolammonium bromide derivatives (TEAMB, TEADB) in an acidic medium (2 N HCl) at different doses (50, 100, and 200 ppm).
The results showed that monoderivatives had a higher corrosion inhibition efficiency than diderivatives. The results were
correlated with several factors, including the alkyl chain length of the hydrophobic chains, interfacial tension (IT), critical
micelle concentration (CMC), and adsorption free energy of these inhibitors. Increasing the geometric length of the alkyl
chains in the synthesized inhibitors had an increasing effect on their corrosion inhibition efficiency, whereas decreasing
the CMC and IT had an increasing effect on their tendency toward corrosion inhibition. The number of hydrophobic chains attached

3D objects can be stored in computer of different describing ways, such as point set, polyline, polygonal surface and Euclidean distance map. Moment invariants of different orders may have the different magnitude. A method for normalizing moments of 3D objects is proposed, which can set the values of moments of different orders roughly in the same range and be applied to different 3D data formats universally. Then accurate computation of moments for several objects is presented and experiments show that this kind of normalization is very useful for moment invariants in 3D objects analysis and recognition. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the quantized output feedback stabilization problem for a class of uncertain systems with nonsmooth nonlinearities in the actuator device via sliding mode control schemes. It is assumed that system signals are quantized before being transmitted through communication channels. First, a dynamical compensator is developed to estimate unmeasurable system state. Then a sliding surface, in the augmented space using the system output and the estimated state, is proposed, and an adaptive sliding mode control scheme with a static adjustment law of the quantization parameter is established. It is shown that the proposed quantized feedback control strategy is able to tackle parameter uncertainty, external disturbances, and nonsymmetric input nonlinearity simultaneously and guarantees the reachability of the sliding modes of the uncertain system. This paper addresses the distributed control by input–output linearization of a nonlinear diffusion equation that describes a particular but important class of distributed parameter systems. Both manipulated and controlled variables are assumed to be distributed in space. The control law is designed using the concept of characteristic index from geometric control by using directly the PDE model without any approximation or reduction. The main idea consists in the control design in assuming an equivalent linear diffusion equation obtained by use of the Cole–Hopf transformation. This framework helps to demonstrate the closed‐loop stability using some concepts from the powerful semigroup theory. The performance of the proposed controller is successfully tested, through simulation, by considering a nonlinear heat conduction problem concerning the control of the temperature of a steel plate modeled by a nonlinear heat equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions.
