Energy consumption is one of the most significant aspects of large-scale storage systems where multilevel caches are widely used. In a typical hierarchical storage structure, upper-level storage serves as a cache for the lower level, forming a distributed multilevel cache system. In the past two decades, several classic LRU-based multilevel cache policies have been proposed to improve the overall I/O performance of storage systems. However, few power-aware multilevel cache policies focus on the storage devices in the bottom level, which consume more than 27% of the energy of the whole system [1]. To address this problem, we propose a novel power-aware multilevel cache (PAM) policy that can reduce the energy consumption of high-performance and I/O bandwidth storage devices. In our PAM policy, an appropriate number of cold dirty blocks in the upper level cache are identified and selected to flush directly to the storage devices, providing high probability extension of the lifetime of disks in standby mode. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed policy, we conduct several simulations with real-world traces. Compared to existing popular cache schemes such as PALRU, PB-LRU, and Demote, PAM reduces power consumption by up to 15% under different I/O workloads, and improves energy efficiency by up to 50.5%. 相似文献

We devise a layer‐wise hint training method to improve the existing hint‐based knowledge distillation (KD) training approach, which is employed for knowledge transfer in a teacher‐student framework using a residual network (ResNet). To achieve this objective, the proposed method first iteratively trains the student ResNet and incrementally employs hint‐based information extracted from the pretrained teacher ResNet containing several hint and guided layers. Next, typical softening factor‐based KD training is performed using the previously estimated hint‐based information. We compare the recognition accuracy of the proposed approach with that of KD training without hints, hint‐based KD training, and ResNet‐based layer‐wise pretraining using reliable datasets, including CIFAR‐10, CIFAR‐100, and MNIST. When using the selected multiple hint‐based information items and their layer‐wise transfer in the proposed method, the trained student ResNet more accurately reflects the pretrained teacher ResNet's rich information than the baseline training methods, for all the benchmark datasets we consider in this study. 相似文献

给出了以凌阳16位单片机Spce061A为核心的帆板控制系统整体调节的基本原理与实现方案.该系统由电源驱动、液晶显示、调节装置、角度传感器和直流轴流风机5部分构成,由1块单片机来实现控制与显示功能.采用PWM控制技术来改变风机转速,控制风力大小,进而控制帆板转角θ,并通过角度传感器将θ转换成电信号反馈给单片机.测量分辨率精确达到2零,绝对误差不大于5°.测得θ值送给SPLC501进行显示,加外键盘以及语声光提示的功能,使得系统简洁而具有人性化的特色. 相似文献
