Feature selection plays an important role in data mining and pattern recognition, especially for large scale data. During past years, various metrics have been proposed to measure the relevance between different features. Since mutual information is nonlinear and can effectively represent the dependencies of features, it is one of widely used measurements in feature selection. Just owing to these, many promising feature selection algorithms based on mutual information with different parameters have been developed. In this paper, at first a general criterion function about mutual information in feature selector is introduced, which can bring most information measurements in previous algorithms together. In traditional selectors, mutual information is estimated on the whole sampling space. This, however, cannot exactly represent the relevance among features. To cope with this problem, the second purpose of this paper is to propose a new feature selection algorithm based on dynamic mutual information, which is only estimated on unlabeled instances. To verify the effectiveness of our method, several experiments are carried out on sixteen UCI datasets using four typical classifiers. The experimental results indicate that our algorithm achieved better results than other methods in most cases.  相似文献

Forward secrecy in an e-mail system means that compromising of the long-term secret keys of the mail users and mail servers does not affect the confidentiality of the e-mail messages. Previous forward-secure e-mail protocols used the certified public keys of the users using PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). In this paper, we propose a password-based authenticated e-mail protocol providing forward secrecy. The proposed protocol does not require certified public keys and is sufficiently efficient to be executed on resource-restricted mobile devices.  相似文献

We propose a visualization based approach for digital signature authentication. Using our method, the speed and pressure aspects of a digital signature process can be clearly and intuitively conveyed to the user for digital signature authentication. Our design takes into account both the expressiveness and aesthetics of the derived visual patterns. With the visual aid provided by our method, digital signatures can be authenticated with better accuracy than using existing methods—even novices can examine the authenticity of a digital signature in most situations using our method. To validate the effectiveness of our method, we conducted a comprehensive user study which confirms positively the advantages of our approach. Our method can be employed as a new security enhancement measure for a range of business and legal applications in reality which involve digital signature authorization and authentication.  相似文献

We solve the light transport problem by introducing a novel unbiased Monte Carlo algorithm called replica exchange light transport, inspired by the replica exchange Monte Carlo method in the fields of computational physics and statistical information processing. The replica exchange Monte Carlo method is a sampling technique whose operation resembles simulated annealing in optimization algorithms using a set of sampling distributions. We apply it to the solution of light transport integration by extending the probability density function of an integrand of the integration to a set of distributions. That set of distributions is composed of combinations of the path densities of different path generation types: uniform distributions in the integral domain, explicit and implicit paths in light (particle/photon) tracing, indirect paths in bidirectional path tracing, explicit and implicit paths in path tracing, and implicit caustics paths seen through specular surfaces including the delta function in path tracing. The replica‐exchange light transport algorithm generates a sequence of path samples from each distribution and samples the simultaneous distribution of those distributions as a stationary distribution by using the Markov chain Monte Carlo method. Then the algorithm combines the obtained path samples from each distribution using multiple importance sampling. We compare the images generated with our algorithm to those generated with bidirectional path tracing and Metropolis light transport based on the primary sample space. Our proposing algorithm has better convergence property than bidirectional path tracing and the Metropolis light transport, and it is easy to implement by extending the Metropolis light transport.  相似文献

Google Earth search function was used to study the impacts of small-scale spatial ability, large-scale environmental cognition, and geographical knowledge on new technology usage. The participants were 153 junior high students from central Taiwan. Geography grades served as indicators of prior knowledge, mental rotation and abstract reasoning skills as indicators of spatial ability, and sketch maps of school neighborhoods as indicators of environmental cognition (including landmark representation, intersection representation, and frame of reference). Lastly, the authors announced the landmarks searching worksheet and asked the participants to accomplish 16 familiar and unfamiliar landmark searching tasks using Google Earth with keyword search function disabled. The result showed the strongest predictor of landmark searching performance is ‘frame of reference’ in environmental cognition, followed by ‘mental rotation’ of spatial ability, ‘landmark representation’ of environmental cognition, and geographical knowledge. Google Earth landmark searches require complex cognitive processing; therefore, our conclusion is that GIS-supported image search activities give students good practice of active knowledge construction.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a new method to describe dynamical patterns of the real exchange rate co-movements time series and to analyze contagion in currency crisis. The method combines the tools of symbolic time series analysis with the nearest neighbor single linkage clustering algorithm. Data symbolization allows us obtaining a metric distance between two different time series that is used to construct an ultrametric distance. By analyzing the data of various countries, we derive a hierarchical organization, constructing minimal-spanning and hierarchical trees. From these trees we detect different clusters of countries according to their proximity. We show that this methodology permits us to construct a structural and dynamic topology that is useful to study interdependence and contagion effects among financial time series.  相似文献

This article proposes an effort to apply the multi-class support vector machine classifiers to classify the supraspinatus image into different disease groups that are normal, tendon inflammation, calcific tendonitis and supraspinatus tear. The supraspinatus tendon is often involved in the above-mentioned disease groups. Four different texture analysis methods texture feature coding method, gray-level co-occurrence matrix, fractal dimension evaluation and texture spectrum are used to extract features of tissue characteristic in the ultrasonic supraspinatus images. The mutual information criterion is adopted to select the powerful features from ones generated from the above-mentioned four texture analysis methods in the training stage, meanwhile, the five implementations of multi-class support vector machine classifiers are also designed to discriminate each image into one of the four disease groups in the classification stage. In experiments, the most commonly used performance measures including sensitivity, specificity, classification accuracy and false-negative rate are applied to evaluate the classification of the five implantations of multi-class support vector machines. In addition, the receiver operating characteristics analysis is also used to analyze the classification capability. The present results demonstrate that the implementation of multi-class fuzzy support vector machine can achieve 90% classification accuracy, and performance measures of this implementation are significantly superior to the others.  相似文献

首先分析了原有流媒体隐蔽通信系统模型在传输机制上存在的问题.在此基础上改进了原有的传输方案,提出了一种新的基于流媒体的隐蔽通信的可靠传输机制,并进行实现和实际测试.实验结果表明,对于只有当载体满足一定条件时才可以嵌入的隐藏算法,新的传输机制也能保证可靠传输,性能较以前的方法也有长足的改善.  相似文献
