This paper proposes a new nonlinear classifier based on a generalized Choquet integral with signed fuzzy measures to enhance the classification accuracy and power by capturing all possible interactions among two or more attributes. This generalized approach was developed to address unsolved Choquet-integral classification issues such as allowing for flexible location of projection lines in n-dimensional space, automatic search for the least misclassification rate based on Choquet distance, and penalty on misclassified points. A special genetic algorithm is designed to implement this classification optimization with fast convergence. Both the numerical experiment and empirical case studies show that this generalized approach improves and extends the functionality of this Choquet nonlinear classification in more real-world multi-class multi-dimensional situations.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new circularity measure which defines the degree to which a shape differs from a perfect circle. The new measure is easy to compute and, being area based, is robust—e.g., with respect to noise or narrow intrusions. Also, it satisfies the following desirable properties:
it ranges over (0,1] and gives the measured circularity equal to 1 if and only if the measured shape is a circle;
it is invariant with respect to translations, rotations and scaling.
Compared with the most standard circularity measure, which considers the relation between the shape area and the shape perimeter, the new measure performs better in the case of shapes with boundary defects (which lead to a large increase in perimeter) and in the case of compound shapes. In contrast to the standard circularity measure, the new measure depends on the mutual position of the components inside a compound shape.Also, the new measure performs consistently in the case of shapes with very small (i.e., close to zero) measured circularity. It turns out that such a property enables the new measure to measure the linearity of shapes.In addition, we propose a generalisation of the new measure so that shape circularity can be computed while controlling the impact of the relative position of points inside the shape. An additional advantage of the generalised measure is that it can be used for detecting small irregularities in nearly circular shapes damaged by noise or during an extraction process in a particular image processing task.  相似文献

Shape from focus (SFF) is a technique to estimate the depth and 3D shape of an object from a sequence of images obtained at different focus settings. In this paper, the SFF is presented as a combinatorial optimization problem. The proposed algorithm tries to find the combination of pixel frames which produces maximum focus measure computed over pixels lying on those frames. To reduce the high computational complexity, a local search method is proposed. After the estimate of the initial depth map solution of an object, the neighborhood is defined, and an intermediate image volume is generated from the neighborhood. The updated depth map solution is found from the intermediate image volume. This update process of the depth map solution continues until the amount of improvement is negligible. The results of the proposed SFF algorithm have shown significant improvements in both the accuracy of the depth map estimation and the computational complexity, with respect to the existing SFF methods.  相似文献

为了有效分析移动网络中移动站点的节能效率,研究了应用于移动宽带城域网的IEEE802.16e节能类型Ⅱ的工作原理,建立了一个具有两种休假机制,且在一种休假机制内可以传输少量数据帧的多重休假排队模型;构建了由能量节省率、系统切换率和数据帧平均响应时间等组成的指标体系,并给出了各个性能指标的解析表达式.通过数值示例,刻画了系统性能与系统参数的依赖关系,表明了该模型的可行性与有效性.  相似文献

Parametric interpolation has been widely used in CNC machining because of its advantages over the traditional linear or circular interpolation. Many researchers focused on this field and have made great progress in the specific one, NURBS curve interpolation. These works greatly improved the CNC machining with constant feedrate, confined chord error and limited acceleration/deceleration. However, during CNC machining process, mechanical shocks to machine tool caused by the undesired acceleration/deceleration profile will dramatically deteriorate the surface accuracy and quality of the machined parts. This is, in most occasions, very harmful to machine tools. In this paper, an accurate adaptive NURBS curve interpolator is proposed with consideration of acceleration–deceleration control. The proposed design effectively reduces the machining shocks by constraining the machine tool jerk dynamically. Meanwhile, the constant feedrate is maintained during most time of machining process, and thus high accuracy is achieved while the feedrate profile is greatly smoothed. In order to deal with the sudden change of the acceleration/deceleration around the corner with large curvature, a real-time flexible acceleration/deceleration control scheme is introduced to adjust the feedrate correspondingly. Case study has been taken to verify the feasibility and advantages of the proposed design.  相似文献

In geometry, two configurations are called similar if they can be brought to a complete match by rigid motions and dilations. In the simplest case, product designs X and Y have the same dimensionality and same number of points which can be brought into a one to one correspondence by substantive considerations. Under orthogonal transformations, product design Y can only be rotated and reflected in order to approximate product design X. As for the “as close as possible” or “relatively close” criterion, a reasonable definition would be to measure the distances between corresponding points, square these values, and add them to obtain the sum-of-squares criterion L. In this paper, a product structure (BOM)-based product similarity measures using orthogonal procrustes approach is proposed. A structural product is first transformed into bill of materials (BOM), the structural similarity measurement between a product query and target product is calculated and evaluated using orthogonal procrustes approach. The results show that the proposed product structure similarity measure method can help companies find desired product information based on BOM feature.  相似文献

Background

COSMIC Function Points and traditional Function Points (i.e., IFPUG Function Points and more recent variation of Function Points, such as NESMA and FISMA) are probably the best known and most widely used Functional Size Measurement methods. The relationship between the two kinds of Function Points still needs to be investigated. If traditional Function Points could be accurately converted into COSMIC Function Points and vice versa, then, by measuring one kind of Function Points, one would be able to obtain the other kind of Function Points, and one might measure one or the other kind interchangeably. Several studies have been performed to evaluate whether a correlation or a conversion function between the two measures exists. Specifically, it has been suggested that the relationship between traditional Function Points and COSMIC Function Points may not be linear, i.e., the value of COSMIC Function Points seems to increase more than proportionally to an increase of traditional Function Points.

Objective

This paper aims at verifying this hypothesis using available datasets that collect both FP and CFP size measures.

Method

Rigorous statistical analysis techniques are used, specifically Piecewise Linear Regression, whose applicability conditions are systematically checked. The Piecewise Linear Regression curve is a series of interconnected segments. In this paper, we focused on Piecewise Linear Regression curves composed of two segments. We also used Linear and Parabolic Regressions, to check if and to what extent Piecewise Linear Regression may provide an advantage over other regression techniques. We used two categories of regression techniques: Ordinary Least Squares regression is based on the usual minimization of the sum of squares of the residuals, or, equivalently, on the minimization of the average squared residual; Least Median of Squares regression is a robust regression technique that is based on the minimization of the median squared residual. Using a robust regression technique helps filter out the excessive influence of outliers.

Results

It appears that the analysis of the relationship between traditional Function Points and COSMIC Function Points based on the aforementioned data analysis techniques yields valid significant models. However, different results for the various available datasets are achieved. In practice, we obtained statistically valid linear, piecewise linear, and non-linear conversion formulas for several datasets. In general, none of these is better than the others in a statistically significant manner.

Conclusions

Practitioners interested in the conversion of FP measures into CFP (or vice versa) cannot just pick a conversion model and be sure that it will yield the best results. All the regression models we tested provide good results with some datasets. In practice, all the models described in the paper - in particular, both linear and non-linear ones - should be evaluated in order to identify the ones that are best suited for the specific dataset at hand.  相似文献
