Effect of antioxidant contained in poly(ethylene glycol) on cell fusion

The effect of antioxidants contained in poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) on cell fusion was studied using L929 cells in the monolayer state. Hydroquinone monomethyl ether (HQME), 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (MB), butyl hydroxyanisole (BHA) and 2,6-di-(t-butyl)-4-methylphenol (BHT) were chosen from the antioxidants that have currently been used to protect commercially available PEG from oxidation. Cell culture was conducted in 40% w/w aqueous solution of PEG with a molecular weight of 3000 in the presence of different concentrations of antioxidants. BHA clearly enhanced membrane fusion of L929 cells with increasing concentration in PEG solution, whereas HQME, MB and BHT had no significant effect on cell fusion. The enhancement of cell fusion by BHA might be ascribed to balanced hydrophobicity and high water solubility in comparison with the other three antioxidants.     

Probabilistic linear models for multiresolution estimation in gray-level images

A multiresolution analysis of digital gray-level images is presented. A gray-level multi-scale framework is determined from two main assumptions: the gray scale is binary at the finest spatial resolution, and the gray levels of composed regions are obtained additively. In order to interrelate the gray-level histograms of the same image at different resolutions, probabilistic linear models are developed, which are then applied for estimation. Linear-optimization theory is used as a way of constructing such models. A general procedure for image processing is sketched, based on gray-level estimation. A versatile algorithm for nonlinear filtering is derived. Some examples of prospective applications are given.This work was partially supported by grant TIC91-646 from the DGYCIT of the Spanish Government.

Fast and Compact 16 by 16 Cellular Neural Network Implementation

The paper presents a Cellular Neural Network implementation based on a high gain sigmoid operation. The required simplifications to the original theory are described that allow the use of high gain. With this design black and white images can be processed. The basic building blocks in a cell are described. A 16×16 cells network has been designed and processed with 1.2 micron CMOS technology. Measurement results which show the operation of the network are presented.     

Optical and thermal properties of poly(ethylene oxide) doped with MnCl2 salt

The optical and thermal properties of prepared poly(ethylene oxide)/MnCl₂ films were studied as a function of MnCl₂ concentration at room temperature. The observed optical energy gap (E_opt) and energy gap tail (ΔE) were determined from the measured absorption spectra. It was found that the optical energy gap decreases with MnCl₂ concentration, and the absorption coefficient reduces sharply at concentration of 5 wt% MnCl₂ compared with the neat PEO. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement shows that the heat of fusion increases with the MnCl₂ concentration, while the melting point decreases. Correlation between the observed optical energy gap and heat of fusion is presented.

将信息融合技术应用到导弹电子设备的电路板故障诊断之中．提出了一种基于红外热成像实验的温度故障隶属度函数构造形式以及改进的BP神经网络算法。进行了BP神经网络信息融合故障诊断的实验研究．从结果看信息融合能较好地解决电路板元件故障诊断的不确定性问题。     

反散射数字辐射成像系统

反散射成像法是数字辐射成像的主要方法之一，介绍了获得反散射数字图像的实验装置，并着重分析了针对此装置获得的反散性图像的处理方法。     

基于AutoCAD的电气符号图像控制菜单的开发

以电气符号为例，介绍了AutoCAD平台下图像控制菜单的开发过程以及幻灯片、幻灯片库的创建方法。
