Building Information Models (BIM) are comprehensive digital representations of buildings, which provide a large set of information originating from the different disciplines involved in the design, construction and operation processes. Moreover, accessing the data needed for a specific downstream application scenario is a challenging task in large-scale BIM projects. Several researchers recently proposed using formal query languages for specifying the desired information in a concise, well-defined manner. One of the main limitations of the languages introduced so far, however, is the inadequate treatment of geometric information. This is a significant drawback, as buildings are inherently spatial objects and qualitative spatial relationships accordingly play an important role in the analysis and verification of building models. In addition, the filters needed in specific data exchange scenarios for selecting the information required can be built by spatial objects and their relations. The lack of spatial functionality in BIM query languages is filled by the Query Language for Building Information Models (QL4BIM) which provides metric, directional and topological operators for defining filter expressions with qualitative spatial semantics. This paper focuses on the topological operators provided by the language. In particular, it presents a new implementation method based on the boundary representation of the operands which outperforms the previously presented octree-based approaches. The paper discusses the developed algorithms in detail and presents extensive performance tests.  相似文献

Cooperative adaptive cruise control(CACC)vehicles are intelligent vehicles that use vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)to share trafc information in real time.Previous studies have shown that CACC could have an impact on increasing highway capacities at high market penetration.Since reaching a high CACC market penetration level is not occurring in the near future,this study presents a progressive deployment approach that demonstrates to have a great potential of reducing trafc congestions at low CACC penetration levels.Using a previously developed microscopic trafc simulation model of a freeway with an on-ramp—created to induce perturbations and trigger stop-and-go trafc,the CACC system s efect on the trafc performance is studied.The results show signifcance and indicate the potential of CACC systems to improve trafc characteristics which can be used to reduce trafc congestion.The study shows that the impact of CACC is positive and not only limited to a high market penetration.By giving CACC vehicles priority access to high-occupancy vehicle(HOV)lanes,the highway capacity could be signifcantly improved with a CACC penetration as low as 20%.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of piecewise auto regressive systems with exogenous input(PWARX) model identification based on clustering solution. This problem involves both the estimation of the parameters of the affine sub-models and the hyper planes defining the partitions of the state-input regression. The existing identification methods present three main drawbacks which limit its effectiveness. First, most of them may converge to local minima in the case of poor initializations because they are based on the optimization using nonlinear criteria. Second, they use simple and ineffective techniques to remove outliers. Third, most of them assume that the number of sub-models is known a priori. To overcome these drawbacks, we suggest the use of the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN) algorithm. The results presented in this paper illustrate the performance of our methods in comparison with the existing approach. An application of the developed approach to an olive oil esterification reactor is also proposed in order to validate the simulation results.  相似文献

In this paper the problem of designing excitation controllers to improve the transient stability of multi‐machine power systems is addressed adopting two new perspectives. First, instead of the standard formulation of stabilization of an equilibrium point, we aim here at the more realistic objective of keeping the difference between the generators rotor angles bounded and their speeds equal—which is called synchronization in the power literature—and translates into a problem of stabilization of a set. Second, we adopt the classical viewpoint of power systems as a set of coupled nonlinear pendula, and express our control objective as ensuring that some suitable defined pendula dynamics are (asymptotically) immersed into the power system dynamics. Our main contribution is the explicit computation of a control law for the two–machine system that achieves global synchronization. The same procedure is applicable to the n–machine case, for which the existence of a locally stabilizing solution is established.  相似文献

This paper deals with system identification for control of linear parameter varying systems. In practical applications, it is often important to be able to identify small plant changes in an incremental manner without shutting down the system and/or disconnecting the controller; unfortunately, closed‐loop system identification is more difficult than open‐loop identification. In this paper we prove that the so‐called Hansen scheme, a technique known from linear time‐invariant systems theory for transforming closed‐loop system identification problems into open‐loop‐like problems, can be extended to accommodate linear parameter varying systems as well. We investigate the identified subsystem's parameter dependency and observe that, under mild assumptions, the identified subsystem is affine in the parameter vector. Various identification methods are compared in direct and Hansen Scheme setups in simulation studies, and the application of the Hansen Scheme is seen to improve the identification performance.  相似文献
