数字放大器—3G无线基站的助推器

为了构筑第三代无线网络,人们需要对现有基础设施进行彻底改造,包括网络的发射基站。配置在无线基站中的新型数字控制功率放大器能够改善频谱利用率和功率效率,从而提高系统容量。PMC-Sierra公司的数字控制功率放大器采用了数字校正信号处理器(DCSP)以及自适应控制处理器和补偿估值器(ACPCE),该放大器可改善无线基础设施的可靠性,同时降低系统成本、规模及复杂性。

在天然河道中，河势演变虽具有一定的随机性，但仍有一定的规律可循，在一个河段内，一般可归纳出2－3条基本流路，为控制河势变化，需要选择出一条基本流路进行河道整治，当连续发生枯水期或洪水期时，部分河段的河势可能出现大的变化，为防止不利河势向下游传播，可修建较长的龙头弯道工程，利用龙头弯道工程分段调整，控导河势，保持河势稳定。

Fast‐scale bifurcation in power‐factor‐correction buck‐boost converters and effects of incompatible periodicities

In this paper, we derive the discrete‐time model for the power‐factor‐correction (PFC) buck‐boost converter in terms of a stroboscopic switching map. Fast‐scale instability is analysed through a fold diagram, which exposes the periodicity of the operation as well as the locations of the critical phase angles of the line voltage at which instability begins to occur along a half‐line cycle. The asymmetrical locations of the critical phase angles along a half‐line cycle is explained in terms of ‘under‐developed’ bifurcation. Skeleton chain coding for Chinese characters

The compression of Chinese characters is very important for Chinese office automation and desktop publishing. In this paper, various methods are used to compress 13,051 Chinese characters losslessly by coding their skeleton points. The skeleton points are composed of isolated points and curves. To trace every point in a curve once and consecutively is a NP problem. Therefore, we use contour path following and revisiting algorithms to trace skeleton curves with chain codes. The remaining isolated skeleton points are encoded by an Elias code. Our coding method has a better compression rate than that of conventional skeleton coding.     

Trade-offs in scan path and BIST implementations for RAMs

In this article we propose efficient scan path and BIST schemes for RAMs. Tools for automatic generation of these schemes have been implemented. They reduce the design effort and thus allow the designer to select the more appropriate scheme with respect to various constraints.
