Utilising a pseudo-reference electrode in polymer electrolyte fuel cells allows for the separation of anodic and cathodic contributions to the entire cell impedance. Modelling the impedance responses by using equivalent circuits inhibits the investigation of kinetic parameters of the basic electrochemical reactions, which take place at single electrode-electrolyte interfaces. Therefore, we evaluate single electrode impedance measurements by a kinetic model, which is based on specific reaction pathways, either for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) or the hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR). As a consequence, it is possible to obtain kinetic parameters for the specific reaction of interest. Furthermore, the information gained from the single electrode impedance measurements and the kinetic model can give insight into single reactions steps. The electron microscopy technique was used to characterize the cobalt–silica interaction in a model catalyst at high temperature in air. The samples were in the form of thin cobalt films (1 and 4 nm thick) supported on an amorphous layer of SiO2. It was concluded that cobalt loading determines the evolution of the microstructure, morphology and phase composition. Experimental data on combustion of magnesium particles in oxygen-containing gas mixtures are analyzed and generalized, which allowed us to develop a semi-empirical mathematical model that takes into account the integral effect of the initial particle size, pressure, and velocity of the oxidizing flow on combustion. Flame propagation in an air suspension of fine magnesium particles is considered in a one-dimensional approximation. For this purpose, a discrete-continual model of flame propagation in a gas suspension of metal particles is developed. Raw diatomite was calcined at 450 °C for dyes removal from aqueous solution. SEM and FTIR analysis show that the raw diatomite
contains organic impurities, which are removed after the calcination. The impurities removal decreases the specific surface
area and increases the average pore diameter of raw diatomite, while improves its adsorption capability of dyes. The adsorption
isotherm and kinetics experiments of methylene blue onto calcined diatomite were then carried out to investigate the adsorption
property. It shows that the adsorption capacity of methylene blue is about 50 mg/g. The adsorption isotherm was fitted by
the Langmuir, Freundlich and Redlich-Peterson models, which reveals that the Redlich-Peterson isotherm is the best one. Two
kinetic models, pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order, were rearranged for expediently investigating the adsortpion mechanisms.
Fitting results show that the pseudo-first-order model is better in describing the adsorption process. 相似文献

A series of soybean oil phosphate ester polyols (SOPEP) was prepared by reaction of fully epoxidized soybean oil with phosphoric
acid and simultanoeous hydrolysis in the presence of a polar solvent. The polyols were characterized by determination of acid
value, oxirane number, hydroxyl value, molecular weight (GPC), and FTIR spectra. These polyols with varying amounts of acid
phosphate groups could be self-emulsified to form aqueous dispersions after neutralization with organic base. These aqueous
dispersion showed varying degrees of stability and their appearance ranged from opaque dispersions to translucent to clear
solutions. Waterborne coating compositions were prepared using these aqueous dispersions as principal components and their
thermally cured film properties were studied. it was found that by careful selection and formulation, SOPEPs can be successfully
used for low-VOC waterborne coating formulations. SOPEPs with 3.5% phosphate ester content showed visibly superior corrosion
