We presented the analysis of the incomplete conduction in bonding medium in high power GaN-based light-emitting diode (LED) packages. A numerical study was carried out with parametric model to understand the junction temperature variation due to bonding medium defects. Transient thermal measurement was performed to evaluate LED’s junction temperature. Thermal resistance from chip to lead frame was 20 K/W in our sample LED. This paper describes the development, comparison and validation of both 2-D and 3-D models of the electroplating process in which the current density distribution, generated using the Finite Element Method (FEM), is used together with Faraday's law of electrolysis to determine the local plating depth. Prior to work on industrial components, a preliminary investigation was undertaken on the electroplating of a square copper cathode (work piece) with a parallel lead anode of identical shape. In this paper an attempt has been made to model the material side flow generated during hard turning operation. A three dimensional thermo elasto-viscoplastic finite element model is presented. The model incorporates cutting tools with different nose radii and cutting conditions. The model was also used to investigate the effect of different process parameters on the extent of material side flow. The predicted results revealed that more side flow is generated when higher nose radius is used. A similar observation is noted when lower feed is used. The simulated results agreed well with the experimentally examined machined surface, viewed with a scanning electron microscope. 相似文献

A supported framework of a gyroscope's rotor is designed and the B-Spline wavelet finite element model of nonlinear supported magnetic field is worked out. A new finite element space is studied in which the scaling function of the B-spline wavelet is considered as the shape function of a tetrahedton. The magnetic field is spited by an artificial absorbing body which used the condition of field radiating, so the solution is unique. The resolution is improved via the varying gradient of the B-spline function under the condition of unchanging gridding. So there are some advantages in dealing with the focus flux and a high varying gradient result from a nonlinear magnetic field. The result is more practical. Plots of flux and in the space is studied via simulating the supported system model. The results of the study are useful in the research of the supported magnetic system for the gyroscope rotor. 相似文献
