Most existing two dimensional(2-D)angles of arrival(AOAs)estimation methods are based on the assumption that the signal sources are point sources.However,in mobile communications,local scattering in the vicinity of the mobile results in angular spreading as seen from a base station antenna array.In this paper,we consider the problem of estimating the 2-D AOAs of spatially distributed sources.First we perform blind estimation of the steering vectors by exploiting joint diagonalization,then the 2-D AOAs are obtained through two fast Fourier transforming of the estimated steering vectors.Simulations are carried out to illustrate the performance of the method.  相似文献

紫外探测相比红外探测的一个重要优势是背景干净,信噪比高.这一优势充分体现的前提是其日盲特性.本文利用光谱测试系统对制作的金属阴极真空紫外探测器的光谱响应进行测试,并将测试结果与传统的碲铷阴极紫外探测器的光谱响应曲线进行对比,比较了这两类器件的紫外日盲特性,发现金属阴极在日盲特性方面有一定的优势,最终指出该类型器件在某些特殊场合的潜在应用.  相似文献

This study represents the sequel and conclusion of a previous one already published in this Journal a few issues ago.1 In that article, we tackled the problem of evaluating theoretically the performance of an adaptive MLSE receiver for MSK signals on a frequency-selective stationary radio propagation channel, and we validated the theoretical findings (in the form of upper and lower bounds to the BER of the receiver) by means of computer simulations. In the present paper, we report on the performance of the very same scheme of channel-estimator-plus-Viterbi-equalizer receiver for mobile communications in a more realistic operating environment. In particular, we completely encompass here the groupe spécial mobile (GSM) transmission format, based on the Gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK) modulation scheme and on narrowband time-division multiple access (TDMA) transmission. Also, we remove the assumption of a time-invariant propagation channel, assuming the recommended standard GSM channels as benchmark transmission conditions. Finally, with the aid of extensive computer simulations, we analyse the sensitivity of the MLSE receiver to unwanted co-channel and adjacent-channel interference coming from other users of the mobile cellular GSM system.  相似文献

In [11] the combination of multitone modulation with direct sequence spectrum spreading has been introduced. The performance of a correlation receiver has been evaluated for a multipath channel. In [12] the analysis has been extended to the presence of a multiple access interference. In the present paper we analyze the equalization problem of such a system for a single user scenario. In order to understand the potential of the system we first investigate the steady-state behavior of the MIMO equalizer for an MMSE design. The investigation is carried out for an equalizer following a receiver made of a bank of filters matched to both the symbol shape and the channel, which is a two-path channel. Assuming BPSK symbols an exact expression of the bit error probability before and after equalization is obtained in the form of an integral by means of the characteristic function method. Next adaptive LMS and RLS structures are proposed. This paper proposes techniques for simultaneous cancellation of intersymbol and interchannel or multi-access interference (ISI and ICI) that shows up in several multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) communication channels. Correlation and kurtosis based optimization criteria are derived for multi-channel decision feedback equalizers (MC-DFE) and compared with the popular Godard algorithm (CMA) and the minimum mean-square error in a decision directed mode (MMSE-DD). The proposed adaptive algorithms are easily extended to a scenario with more than two users with the computational complexity increasing linearly with the number of inputs. Simulation results show that the algorithms converge to the global minimum in a blind environment with channels that introduce moderate distortion.  相似文献
