Dough mixing and breadmaking properties of quinoa-wheat flour blends

Flour blends of quinoa-wheat containing 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20% of manually dehulled quinoa meal or flour were evaluated for dough mixing and breadmaking properties and liking of the bread by a small panel. Increasing amounts of quinoa meal or flour increased farinograph absorption and dislike of bread for most of the panel. Dough development time increased with increase in meal but decreased with increase in quinoa flour. At 10% inclusion levels differences in liking from control 100% wheat flour bread were smaller for flour or water extracted meal to most of the panel, than with 10% non-extracted meal. This suggests that 10% inclusion of flour or water extracted meal may have potential for further investigation.     

Perceptual image preview

Image preview is a convenient way to browse large or multiple images on small displays. However, current signal-level image resampling algorithms may remove many features of interest in the preview image. In this paper, we propose perceptual image preview which retains more perceptual features such that users can inspect features of interest by viewing the preview image only and without zooming in. This technology has two components, structure enhancement and perceptual feature visualization. Structure enhancement enhances the image structure while suppressing subtle details using a gradient modulation method, thus making the succedent perceptual features more apparent. For perceptual feature visualization, features of interest detected in the picture is visualized on the structure enhanced preview image. We demonstrate with two examples of most commonly used image quality features, image blur and noise. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by experimental results.     

基于词性的文本挖掘算法在IDS日志中的应用

提出一种以词性为参考值的文本挖掘算法,能有效挖掘与种子词有关的关联规则。基于Bootstrapping算法思想,既减少了预处理阶段对于词根还原的依赖,能处理日志中出现的中文词汇。增加了对于日志文本上下的理解,提高了关联规则的有效性,并应用与IDS日志挖掘之中,有效改善挖掘效率,为规则库提供关联规则。     

A New Medical Image Enhancement Based on Human Visual Characteristics

Study of image enhancement shows that the quality of image heavily relies on human visual system. In this paper, we apply this fact effectively to design a new image enhancement method for medical images that improves the detail regions. First, the eye region of interest （ROI） is segmented; then the Un-sharp Masking （USM） is used to enhance the detail regions. Experiments show that the proposed method can effectively improve the accuracy of medical image enhancement and has a significant effect.

一种自适应红外图像边缘增强算法

针对红外图像边缘模糊和非均匀性噪声强的特点,提出了一种基于加权的自适应红外图像边缘增强方法。该方法不仅增强红外图像边缘,而且改善了传统边缘增强算法对图像噪声放大的缺点,避免了对强边缘的过渡增强导致图像出现过增强现象,改善了图像质量。实验结果表明,该方法具有良好的前景和实用价值。     

Optimal power flow using differential evolution algorithm

This paper presents an efficient and reliable evolutionary-based approach to solve the optimal power flow (OPF) problem. The proposed approach employs differential evolution algorithm for optimal settings of OPF problem control variables. The proposed approach is examined and tested on the standard IEEE 30-bus test system with different objectives that reflect fuel cost minimization, voltage profile improvement, and voltage stability enhancement. The proposed approach results are compared with the results reported in the literature. The results show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approach.

基于DSP的TETRA话音编码设计与实现

陆上集群无线电通信(TETRA)系统是欧洲电信标准协会(ETSI)在专用移动通信(PMR)和公共接入移动通信(PAMR)网络领域惟一支持无线数字集群的开放标准，本文主要介绍了该系统中话音鳊码算法，并讨论了其在DSP上实现的具体流程。
