In cognitive radio networks, cognitive nodes operate on a common pool of spectrum where they opportunistically access and use parts of the spectrum not being used by others. Though cooperation among nodes is desirable for efficient network operations and performance, there might be some malicious nodes whose objective could be to hinder communications and disrupt network operations. The absence of a central authority or any policy enforcement mechanism makes these kinds of open-access network more vulnerable and susceptible to attacks.In this paper, we analyze a common form of denial-of-service attack, i.e., collaborative jamming. We consider a network in which a group of jammers tries to jam the channels being used by legitimate users who in turn try to evade the jammed channels. First, we compute the distribution of the jamming signal that a node experiences by considering a random deployment of jammers. Then, we propose different jamming and defending schemes that are employed by the jammers and legitimate users, respectively. In particular, we model and analyze the channel availability when the legitimate users randomly choose available channels and the jammers jam different channels randomly. We propose a multi-tier proxy-based cooperative defense strategy to exploit the temporal and spatial diversity for the legitimate secondary users in an infrastructure-based centralized cognitive radio network. Illustrative results on spectrum availability rates show how to improve resiliency in cognitive radio networks in the presence of jammers.  相似文献

Multipath transport protocols like Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) and Multipath TCP (MPTCP) have been introduced in the past as alternatives to traditional single path transport protocols like TCP and UDP. Various approaches to divide the flow on multiple paths have also been proposed in the literature. In this work, we show that the bandwidth estimation based resource pooling (BERP) congestion control algorithm is a practical implementation of the Min–Max optimization approach for flow division and verify this through ns-2 based simulations.  相似文献

In this paper the maximum sidelobe level (SLL) reductions without and with central element feeding in various designs of three-ring concentric circular antenna arrays (CCAA) are examined using a real-coded Evolutionary Programming (EP) to finally determine the global optimal three-ring CCAA design. Standard real-coded Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and real-coded Particle Swarm Optimization with Constriction Factor and Inertia Weight Approach (PSOCFIWA) are also employed for comparative optimization but both prove to be suboptimal. This paper assumes non-uniform excitation weights and uniform spacing of excitation elements in each three-ring CCAA design. Among the various CCAA designs, the design containing central element and 4, 6 and 8 elements in three successive concentric rings proves to be such global optimal design set with global minimum SLL (−39.66 dB) as determined by Evolutionary Programming.  相似文献

Tin dioxide (SnO2) powder was prepared by the co-precipitation method using SnCl2 solution as a precursor. The powder was then pelletized and sintered. Structural characterization of the samples with XRD confirmed that all the pellets were of SnO2 having polycrystalline nature with the crystallite size of the order of 90 nm. SEM-EDAX was used to confirm the morphology and composition of the samples. The measurements of electrical properties were carried out in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 100 kHz at various fixed temperatures from 40 °C to 160 °C. The a.c. conductivity and the dielectric constant were found to be dependent on both frequency and temperature. The frequency and temperature dependent conduction properties of SnO2 are found to be in accordance with correlated barrier hoping model. Infrared and visible spectroscopic studies show that a strong vibration band characteristic of the SnO2 stretching mode was present at around 620 cm?1 and the samples exhibited optical transmittance in the visible range.  相似文献

This article represents a microstrip line–fed novel circular monopole antenna with ultra‐wideband (UWB) characteristics. The compact antenna provides reconfigurable notches at WLAN (5.2/5.8 GHz) and Wi‐MAX (5.5 GHz) frequency bands. The band rejection is achieved by etching an open‐ended L‐shaped slot in the ground plane, which effectively mitigates the interference between WLAN, Wi‐MAX, and UWB systems with an effective patch area of 36.26%. The proposed antenna operates from 3.05 to 12.11 GHz with VSWR 2 except at stopband (3.89‐5.93 GHz) to filter the WLAN and Wi‐MAX signals. The simulated return loss, gain, and radiation pattern of the proposed antenna has been experimentally verified with the fabricated one which holds a good agreement.  相似文献

Shape memory materials (SMMs) in 3D printing (3DP) technology garnered much attention due to their ability to respond to external stimuli, which direct this technology toward an emerging area of research, “4D printing (4DP) technology.” In contrast to classical 3D printed objects, the fourth dimension, time, allows printed objects to undergo significant changes in shape, size, or color when subjected to external stimuli. Highly precise and calibrated 4D materials, which can perform together to achieve robust 4D objects, are in great demand in various fields such as military applications, space suits, robotic systems, apparel, healthcare, sports, etc. This review, for the first time, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, focuses on recent advances in SMMs (e.g., polymers, metals, etc.) based wearable smart textiles and fashion goods. This review integrates the basic overview of 3DP technology, fabrication methods, the transition of 3DP to 4DP, the chemistry behind the fundamental working principles of 4D printed objects, materials selection for smart textiles and fashion goods. The central part summarizes the effect of major external stimuli on 4D textile materials followed by the major applications. Lastly, prospects and challenges are discussed, so that future researchers can continue the progress of this technology.  相似文献

Abstract

Estimation of a closed population size (N) under inverse binomial sampling consists of four basic steps: First, one captures t items, then tag these t items, followed by releasing the t tagged items back to the population. Then, one draws items from the population one by one until s tagged items are recaptured where s is fixed in advance. In the recapturing stage (fourth step), items are normally drawn with replacement. But, without replacement, sampling will not be impacted much if N is large. Under squared error loss (SEL) as well as weighted SEL, we propose sequential methodologies to come up with bounded risk point estimators of an optimal choice of s, leading to an appropriate sequential estimator of N: The sequential estimation methodologies are supplemented with appropriate first-order asymptotic properties, followed by extensive data analyses.  相似文献

A model is presented in this work through which variation of hydraulic diffusivity of concrete with relative water content can be obtained from pore size distribution as an input. The specific water capacity and hydraulic conductivity of concrete are expressed in terms of pore size characteristics, considering laminar flow due to capillary suction through tortuous elliptic tubes, oriented equally in three orthogonal directions. Hydraulic diffusivity being the ratio of hydraulic conductivity and specific water capacity is thus expressed in terms of pore size characteristics. The input pore size distributions have been determined experimentally for normal strength concrete mixes through mercury intrusion porosimetry. Using the model the variation of hydraulic diffusivity with relative water content is determined for three cases viz. 1) ideal continuous wetting, 2) ideal continuous drying and 3) random access of pores by water. These results are then compared with an experimentally obtained variation.  相似文献
