We have previously shown that an oral glucose load increased both calciuria and oxaluria while the ingestion of fructose induced a rise in calciuria and a decrease in oxaluria. This latter effect remains unclear and might be linked to the reduced intestinal oxalate absorption subsequent to digestive intolerance in some subjects. Such a hypothesis could be enlightened by the study of a parenteral fructose load. Therefore in 7 healthy subjects, we compared the effects of fructose infusion (F) (15 min iv infusion at 0.185 mmol/kg BW/min) to a control glucose infusion (G) on urinary calcium and oxalate. In this study, glycemia and insulinemia increased less after (F) than after (G) (respectively + 21% vs + 216%, p < 0.001 and + 230% vs + 402%, p < 0.05) and phosphatemia decreased less after (F) than after (G) (-7% vs -14%, p < 0.05). Urinary calcium and oxalate increased only after (F) (respectively + 64%, p < 0.01 and + 60%, p < 0.05). Urinary uric acid, another urolithiasis factor, increased after both (F) and (G) (respectively + 45%; p < 0.01 and + 42%; p < 0.01) but uricemia increased only after (F) (+ 25%; p < 0.01). Our results suggest an additional reason to avoid the use of fructose in parenteral nutrition, particularly in individuals with a known history of either calcium oxalate or urate urolithiasis. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the relaxation behavior of initially amorphous poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) films drawn, at 80°C using a draw rate of 2 cm/min, to a draw ratio (λ) from 1 to 5 and then quenched to room temperature. These films were then heated at different temperatures from 68 to 80°C for different times and their orientation determined. The orientation measurements were performed by transmission infrared spectroscopy and the bands used for the determination of orientation were those at 1340 and 970 cm?1 for the trans conformers, normalized using the 1410 cm?1 benzene ring vibration. The crystallinity was determined by thermal analysis. It is shown that when PET is drawn to λ values up to 2–2.5 (before stress-induced crystallization), the orientation relaxes rapidly at temperatures close to the glass transition temperature of PET. For λ values of 3 or higher, the orientational relaxation of the amorphous regions is hindered. This effect is ascribed to the development of strain-induced crystallites, which are believed to act as pseudo-crosslinks. 相似文献

The design of concrete structures is based on calculation rules, which often do not take into account the very early age behaviour of the material. However, during this period, structural concrete is subjected to strains due to the hydration process of cement. If these strains are restrained by concrete itself or surrounding boundaries, stresses start to build up that can lead to the formation of cracks. Among the parameters involved in the stress build up, the stiffness evolution is of major importance. This paper reports the use of eight different techniques aimed at stiffness evolution assessment, applied on the same concrete mix, in a round robin experimental test within three laboratories. The observations are compared after having expressed the results at the same equivalent age. Both the loading stress rate and amplitude are observed to have an effect of limited importance on the determination of the quasi‐static elastic modulus, which might be explained by very short term creep. Ultrasonic measurements provide values of E‐modulus that are higher than the values provided by the quasi‐static tests at the time of the concrete setting. Similar mechanisms associated to very short term creep could explain the difference between the quasi‐static and high‐frequency elastic modulus. 相似文献

sandwiches. The phase depends on the sign of (x), the detailed shape of its variation, and on the nature of the tunneling process. Unfortunately the interplay among these parameters is difficult to analyze, although directive tunneling is found to fit better with experiments than the generally assumed diffuse tunneling. The amplitude of the resonance should be proportional to the change of (x). The ambiguity in the experimental results is pointed out and an experiment that shows clearly the role of the superconducting proximity mechanisms is described where the proximity on several simultaneously prepared Pb/Al films is controlled by deposition of various third upper layers. Two well-known active agents, mesalamine (MES) and sucralfate (SUC), were investigated for possible utilization as fixed-dose combination product. The anti-inflammatory action of MES in association with bioadhesiveness and mucosal healing properties of SUC were considered promising for the development of a new compound containing both molecules, aimed as an improved treatment of ulcerative colitis. The present study investigates the capacity of the two active agents to interact and generate a new and stable entity via self-assembling. Spray-drying was used to co-process the two active principles from an aqueous mixture where the ratio MES:SUC was in the range 25:75, 50:50, and 75:25. The structural data (X-Ray, FTIR, SEM, DSC, and 1H NMR) have shown that MES and SUC are interacting leading to complexes with properties differing from those of each separate active agent and from their physical blends. 1H NMR results indicated that complexation occurred when the aqueous suspensions of drugs were mixed, prior to spray-drying. Drug–drug self-assembling was the driving mechanism in the formation of the new entity. Based on the structural data, a hypothetical structure of the complex was proposed. Co-processing of MES and SUC represents a simple and useful procedure to prepare new self-assembled compounds by valorizing the ionic interactions between the two entities. Preliminary studies with oral solid dosage forms based on MES–SUC complexes tested in vitro have shown a controlled MES release, opening the perspective of a new colon-targeted delivery system and a novel class of compounds with therapeutic application in inflammatory bowel diseases. 相似文献

The flash-lag effect is a visual illusion wherein intermittently flashed, stationary stimuli seem to trail after a moving visual stimulus despite being flashed synchronously. We tested hypotheses that the flash-lag effect is due to spatial extrapolation, shortened perceptual lags, or accelerated acquisition of moving stimuli, all of which call for an earlier awareness of moving visual stimuli over stationary ones. Participants judged synchrony of a click either to a stationary flash of light or to a series of adjacent flashes that seemingly bounced off or bumped into the edge of the visual display. To be judged synchronous with a stationary flash, audio clicks had to be presented earlier--not later--than clicks that went with events, like a simulated bounce (Experiment 1) or crash (Experiments 2-4), of a moving visual target. Click synchrony to the initial appearance of a moving stimulus was no different than to a flash, but clicks had to be delayed by 30-40 ms to seem synchronous with the final (crash) positions (Experiment 2). The temporal difference was constant over a wide range of motion velocity (Experiment 3). Interrupting the apparent motion by omitting two illumination positions before the last one did not alter subjective synchrony, nor did their occlusion, so the shift in subjective synchrony seems not to be due to brightness contrast (Experiment 4). Click synchrony to the offset of a long duration stationary illumination was also delayed relative to its onset (Experiment 5). Visual stimuli in motion enter awareness no sooner than do stationary flashes, so motion extrapolation, latency difference, and motion acceleration cannot explain the flash-lag effect.
