净化废水以及从水中回收有价值材料的方法

废水（如含有植物油的油工厂废水）使用一种装有一个浮渣刮刀、隔音墙分离器和一个气．液混合器的设备被净化,从废水中分离固体（如油、纤维）。该工艺包括（1）当废水流过通道时的处理设备;（2）利用混合器生产含有空气的水流;（3）将流体引入分离器;（4）去除分离后的固体;（5）利用膜分离器生产高纯水（用作锅炉水或工艺水）。分离后的固体被固化,并作为有价值的材料被回收。     

Development and Field Test on a Distribution Line Carrier Communication System

A communication system through distribution lines was developed for distribution automation. This system consists of a two level hierarchy system : a zero-phase-sequence carrier communication system through ungrounded 6kV distribution lines and an earth return communication system through grounded 100V/200V lines. In each system, transmission signals are generated by switching a passive element of small capacity between a line and the ground, and the signals are circulated through the line and the ground. By using this method, the influence of load impedance change and noises generated in loads is avoided sufficiently. Field tests were carried out at Ijiri Substation of the Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. for one year starting in September 1983. High reliability of the system was verified in terms of endurance in a severe environment and data transmission performance.     

The maximum and minimum values of the heat q transmitted from metal to boiling water under atmospheric pressure

The quantity of heat transmitted from a metal surface to boiling water increases as the temperature difference ΔT is increased, but after the ΔT has reached a certain limit, quantity Q decreases with further increase in ΔT. This turning point is the maximum value of heat transmitted. The existence of this point was actually observed in the experiment. Under atmospheric pressure, ΔT corresponding to the maximum value of heat transfer for water at 100°C falls between 20–40°C, and Q is between 1080 000 and 1 800 000 kcal/m² h (i.e. between 2000 and 3000 kg/m² h, if expressed in constant evaporation rate at 100°C); this figure is larger than the maximum value of heat transfer as was previously considered. Also, the minimum value of heat transfer was obtained, and in the Q-ΔT curve for the high temperature region, the burn-out effect is discussed.     

Almost nonsidelobe unidirectional planar arrays

The uniform planar arrays interlacing the nonsidelobe endfire array and the nonsidelobe broadside array are described. This planar array has two uniform spacings, i.e., one islambda/2mon the endfire array axis and the other islambda/non the broadside array axis, wheremandnare the number of elements on each array axis. The resultant patterns are unidirectional having a mainlobe and two small sidelobes decreasing with the number of elements, so these planar arrays may be considered as an improvement of the well-known four-element planar array. To serve the convenience of the planar array constructions the nomograms among the beamwidth and the given number of endfire and broadside elements are illustrated. From these nomograms it follows that the beamwidth of the pattern depends mainly upon the number of elements on the broadside array axis.
