This paper proposes an efficient computation‐aware mode decision and search point (SP) allocation algorithm for spatial and quality scalabilities in Scalable Video Coding. In our proposal, a linear model is derived to allocate the computation for macroblocks in enhancement layers by using the rate distortion costs of the base layer. In addition, an adaptive SP decision algorithm is proposed to decide the number of SPs for motion estimation under the constraint of the allocated computation. Experiment results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm allocates the computation resource efficiently and outperforms other works in rate distortion performance under the same computational availability constraint.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we present a multi‐purpose medical diagnostic system named AEA — the Acute Exanthem Advisor, and the methodologies of its implementation. AEA provides an accurate diagnosis of acute exanthemas and a complete environment including a user‐friendly interface, reviewing function, record keeping function and explanation function. Therefore, it may serve as an assistant, a record keeper or an educational tool. A prediction program is also provided which is capable of predicting the number of potential patients who are going to have acute exanthemas in the near future. To illustrate the processes of the consultation and the prediction of the AEA, an example is given. Finally, for the 25 different test cases given to the diagnosticians and the AEA, the answers are almost the same, so we can conclude that the performance of the AEA is satisfactory. Now, we are trying to extend the AEA system to be a medical diagnostic net for acute exanthemas, which will be able to be remote accessed through network communications.  相似文献

Nonlinear rheological properties of polyolefins have long been studied and predicted by using the Larson model with the damping function generally obtained from the stress relaxation measurements. In this study, we investigate the nonlinear rheological properties of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) using the Larson model with damping functions obtained from either the dynamic frequency sweep or the stress relaxation test. Experimental measurements and their corresponding model predictions for the rheological parameters were then compared to evaluate the applicability of the Larson model to the nonlinear rheology, and the following conclusions could be achieved. The steady shear viscosity could be satisfactorily described by the Larson model with the damping functions obtained from the two different methods, except at shear rates higher than 103 s?1. The predicted first normal stresses also account for the measured data, except for those using the stress relaxation data showing a little deviation for the PP sample. In addition, the predictions for elongation viscosity are also in good agreement with the experimental results within the short range of elongation rate achieved in this work. POLYM. ENG. We have prepared nanocomposites of intercalated and exfoliated organosilicates in butadiene rubber (BR) by using a two‐stage melt blending process. We used X‐ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy to examine, respectively, the intergallery spacing of the organosilicates and their dispersion in the BR. Marked enhancements in the mechanical and thermal properties of BR occurred when it incorporated <10 parts of organosilicates and the loading ratio of the organosilicate to dicarboxylic acid‐terminated butadiene oligomer was approximately three. In particular, the addition of 10 parts of organosilicate and 3 parts of compatibilizer in the BR led to a more than four‐fold increase in the tensile strength, a 150% increase in modulus at 100% elongation (M100), and 232 and 410% enhancements in the tear strength and elongation at break, respectively, relative to those of neat BR. The degradation temperature for the BR nanocomposite containing only a 10‐part loading of organosilicate was 51°C higher than that of neat BR; these increases reduced, however, to 9–13°C upon the addition of the CTB compatibilizer. In addition, the relative water vapor permeabilities of the BR nanocomposites containing 10 parts of organosilicate—both in the presence and absence of the compatibilizer—reduced to 20% of that of the neat BR. Dependences of differential capacitance of the electrolyte-n-InN (0001) contact on the bias voltage are studied. Their analysis of the basis of a model similar to a model of the MIS structure shows that the energy spectrum of surface states of InN above the conduction band bottom can be represented by two, relatively narrow, bands of deep levels described by the Gaussian distribution. Parameters of these bands are as follows: the average energy counted from the conduction band bottom, ΔE 1 ≈ 0.15 eV and ΔE 2 ≈ 0.9 eV; and the mean-square deviation, ΔE 1 ≈ 0.15–0.25 eV and ΔE 2 ≈ 0.05–0.1 eV. The total density of states in the bands are (1–2.5) × 1012 and (0.2–4) × 1012 cm–2.  相似文献
