The heat capacity of ytterbium orthovanadate was first measured by adiabatic calorimetry in the temperature range T?=?12.28–344.06?K. No obvious anomalies were observed on the curve obtained. The values of standard thermodynamic functions in the temperature range T?=?0–400 K were calculated. Based on low-temperature calorimetry data obtained, previously published data on the high-temperature heat capacity of ytterbium orthovanadate were corrected. The anomalous contribution to heat capacity for YbVO4 was compared with the data known for YbPO4.  相似文献

The purpose and current construction status, at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, of an experimental electronuclear setup, combining a pulsed proton linear accelerator (36 MeV, 0.5 mA) and a subcritical blanket thermal-power assembly 100 kW, are discussed. The main equipment is already available or is being built in industry. The setup can be used to investigate the dynamics of the interaction of a linac–driver and a subcritical reactor and problems concerning the accelerator–driver and the target–blanket assembly. The proton beams and neutron fluxes will be used for applied purposes. In the future it will be possible to increase substantially the current and energy of the proton beam.  相似文献

Chromium carbide-nickel coatings were deposited onto a technical grade copper substrate by means of a high-velocity plasma jet of a plasmatron operating in specially selected regimes. An analysis of the coatings showed evidence of the formation of a Ni-based solid solution, a complex chromium carbide (Cr7C3), and an fcc crystal phase with a lattice parameter of 3.614 Å. The surface of the coatings exhibits a characteristic relief resulting from a dynamic interaction between melted and fused particles of the initial powder. The local hardness on some areas of the surface and in depth of the coating reaches 66±4.5 HRC, while the coating adhesion strength varies from 25 to 300 MPa.  相似文献

Based on the theory of “regular” solutions, the thermodynamic properties of α-, β-, γ-, ɛ-, and η-phases of the Cu-Zn system are described. The surface activity of the elements in the phases is assessed. Potential-pH diagrams for the general system Cu-Zn-H2O and the manganese brass system H2O at 25°C are plotted. The nature of passivating films on conventional and special brasses and their composition are elucidated in different pH and potential ranges.  相似文献

Conclusions A method has been developed for production of standard periclase-chromite concrete parts for the linings of high temperature ladles for teeming steel and ferroalloys. The parts have high strength and low porosity and are practically shrinkage-free.The life of periclase-chromite concrete parts in the steel teeming ladles of Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant is about four times greater than that of fireclay parts, in Red October Plant practically the same as that observed with the use of high alumina parts, and at Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant it was higher only in the upper portion of ladles in comparison with that obtained with the normally used fired periclase parts.During service in ladles the parts do not spall, become encrusted at a metal temperature of 1620 °C, do not become encrusted at 1790°C, and at 2200°C are eroded by slag.Translated from Ogneupory, No. 7, pp. 16–20, July, 1982.  相似文献

Recent studies provide extensive evidence for the importance of carotenoids in protecting against oxidative stress associated with a number of diseases. In particular, reactions of carotenoids with phenoxyl radicals generated by peroxidasecatalyzed one-electron metabolism of phenolic compounds may represent an important antioxidant function of carotenoids. To further our understanding of the antioxidant mechanisms of carotenoids, we used in the present work two different phenolic compounds, phenol and a polar homologue of vitamin E (2,2,5,7,8-pentamethyl-6-hydroxychromane, PMC), as representatives of two different types of phenols to study reactions of their respective phenoxyl radicals with carotenoids in cells and in model systems. We found that phenoxyl radicals of PMC did not oxidize β-carotene in either HL-60 cells or in model systems with horseradish peroxidase (HRP)/H2O2. In contrast, the phenoxyl radicals generated from phenol (by native myeloperoxidase in HL-60 cells or HRP/H2O2 in model systems) effectively oxidized β-carotene and other carotenoids (canthaxanthin, lutein, lycopene). One-electron reduction of the phenoxyl radical by ascorbate (assayed by electron spin resonance-detectable formation of semidehydroascorbyl radicals) prevented HRP/H2O2-induced oxidation of β-carotene. PMC, but not phenol, protected β-carotene against oxidation induced by a lipid-soluble azo-initiator of peroxyl radicals. No adducts of peroxidase/phenol/H2O2-induced β-carotene oxidation intermediates with phenol were detected by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of the reaction mixture. Since carotenoids are essential constituents of the antioxidant defenses in cells and biological fluids, their depletion through the reaction with phenoxyl radicals formed from endogenous, nutritional and environmental phenolics, as well as phenolic drugs, may be an important factor in the development of oxidative stress.  相似文献

The dielectric permittivities(ε'&ε")and dielectric loss tangent(tan)are studied for the prepared samples CuFe2O4 and Cu1-xZnxGa0.1 Fe1.9 O4 spinel ferrites with (0.0≤x≤0.5)from room temperature up to 700K in the frequency range(102~105Hz).Dielectric anomaly at the transition temperature Tc is pronounced in the relations of dielectric permittivitties with temperature where,the obtained Tc is found to decrease linearly with increasing Zn concentration.The relation of tan with frequency at different temperatures shows relaxation spectra where the relaxation time and the maximum frequency of the hopping conduction mechanism are determined.The variation of(ε',ε"and tanδ)with frequency and temperature displays a strong dependence on both gallium and zinc concentrations.The results are explained in light of the cation-anion-cation and cation-cation interactions over the octahedral sites in the spinel structure.  相似文献
