A nonstationary model of SO2 absorption from a gas phase to a countercurrent falling film of absorbing slurry was developed. Laminar, wavy and turbulent film structures were considered based on published information. Resistances to the mass transfer on the gas and the liquid sides of the interphase were considered, together with chemical reactions in the liquid phase. Relevant chemical equilibria in the liquid phase were modeled. Original experimental data on the neutralization reagent dissolution rate presented as a polydispersed two‐phase system of solids and on the rate of dissolved sulfite oxidation were used. The model was verified with experimental data from a laboratory‐scale falling‐film absorber using a single vertical tube under various geometrical and operating conditions, and a very good agreement was found with the experiment. Identification of anthocyanins in the wine made of the Croatian autochthonous grape variety of Babić (Vitis vinifera L.) was carried out and their profile was determined by means of high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array
and mass spectrometric detection. Dependence of anthocyanins content and profile on maceration treatment conditions was investigated.
Statistically significant differences of anthocyanins concentration in wines Babić produced by various maceration treatments
were confirmed by the use of multivariate analysis of variances. The investigation results indicated that the maceration temperature
exerts higher influence on anthocyanins concentration than the duration of maceration. In addition, on the basis of anthocyanin
composition and using different multivariate statistical analyses, differentiation of wines Babić according to maceration

Precipitation of calcium sulfate dihydrate, gypsum, from (i) a pure sulfuric acid/lime suspension and (ii) a waste sulfuric acid/lime suspension in a continuous pilot plant in the temperature range from 40 °C to 80 °C was studied. It was observed that in the case of waste sulfuric acid with a high content of Mg2+ and Fe2+ ions, several hours after the beginning of the precipitation, partial dissolution of the product and modification of the crystals from needle‐ and plate‐like to agglomerated structures occurred. It is suggested that the secondary changes occur due to the increased concentration of Mg2+ and Fe2+ ions in the reactor. Below 60 °C, and above 70 °C plate‐like and needle‐like single crystals respectively were formed. The mean size (d50) of the crystals was found to increase with increasing temperature and decrease with the initial concentration of lime. Gypsum produced between 70 °C and 80 °C is suitable for further processing for construction plaster. Cracks in reinforced concrete are unavoidable. Durability is of increasing concern in the concrete industry, and it is significantly
affected by the presence of cracks. The corrosion of reinforcing steel due to chloride ions in deicing salts or sea-water
is a major cause of premature deterioration of reinforced concrete structures. Although, it is generally recognized that cracks
accelerate the ingress of chlorides in concrete, a lack of consensus on this subject does not yet allow reliable quantification
of their effects. The present work studies the relationship between crack widths and chloride diffusivity. Flexural load was
introduced to generate cracks of width ranging between 29 and 390 μm. As crack width was increased, the effective diffusion
coefficient was also increased, thus reducing the initiation period of corrosion process. For cracks with widths less than
135 μm, the effect of crack widths on the effective diffusion coefficient of mortar was found to be marginal, whereas for
crack widths higher than 135 μm the effective diffusion coefficient increased rapidly. Therefore, the effect of crack width
on chloride penetration was more pronounced when the crack width is higher than 135 μm. Results also indicate that the relation
between the effective diffusion coefficient and crack width was found to be power function. In addition, a significant amount
of self-healing was observed within the cracks with width below 50 μm subjected to NaCl solution exposure. The present research
may provide insight into developing design criteria for a durable concrete and in predicting service life of a concrete structures. 相似文献

Physically based simulation of human hair is a well studied and well known problem. But the “pure” physically based representation of hair (and other animation elements) is not the only concern of the animators, who want to “control” the creation and animation phases of the content. This paper describes a sketch-based tool, with which a user can both create hair models with different styling parameters and produce animations of these created hair models using physically and key frame-based techniques. This paper presents the mass transfer results from an impinging liquid jet to a rotating disk. The mass transfer coefficients were measured using the electrochemical limiting diffusion current technique (ELDCT). Rotational Reynolds number (Rer) in the range of 3.4 × 104–1.2 × 105, jet Reynolds number (Rej) 1.7 × 104–5.3 × 104 and non-dimensional jet-to-disk spacing (H/d) 2–8 were taken into consideration as parameters. It was found that the jet impingement resulted in a substantial enhancement in the mass transfer compared to the case of the rotating disk without jet. 相似文献
