Segmentation is the primary task for image analysis in many practical applications, such as object-based image analysis. Segmentation algorithms need to have properly estimated parameters to provide efficient performance and reliable results. Due to the fact that some features have different shapes and spectral characteristics, it is hard to find the proper parameters for the whole image. In this article, we propose a new method for resolving this issue through the building of a hierarchy of segmentations, based on the number of land-cover classes in the image, namely segmentation scale space (SSS). Both spectral and elevation data are employed in order to enhance the SSS and to obtain a single segmentation for the image. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated using two data sets, which consist of ultra-high resolution aerial images and elevation data with ground sampling distance of 5 and 9 cm, respectively. The experiments demonstrate the efficiency of enhanced segmentation with respect to over and under segmentation cases. Finally, the comparative analysis shows that the accuracy of the proposed method is superior to the classical methods.  相似文献

Comb polycarboxylic acid dispersants (CPCADs) graft acrylic copolymers which consist of hanging methoxy polyethylene glycol chains and carboxylic acid groups on main acrylic chain. The CPCADs have been synthesized by radical polymerization of methacrylic acid and methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylate as a nonionic unsaturated hydrophilic macromonomer. The CPCADs are polymeric surfactants that can be used as anionic dispersant. Methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylate has been synthesized by esterification of methacrylic acid and methoxy polyethylene glycol in the presence of methanesulfonic acid as catalyst. These have been characterized with 1H‐NMR and GPC. Acid values of CPCA dispersants have been determined. The dispersion of CPCA dispersants depends on their molecular weights, length mPEG, and acid values. Dispersion of titanium dioxide in typical solvent‐based paint formulation has been investigated. The physicochemical and mechanical properties of surface coatings having CPCADs such as gloss, hardness, and contrast ratio have been investigated. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A classifier combining strategy, virtual voting by random projection (VVRP), is presented. VVRP takes advantage from the bounded distortion incurred by random projection in order to improve accuracies of stable classifiers like discriminant analysis (DA) where existing classifier combining strategies are known to be failed. It uses the distortion to virtually generate different training sets from the total available training samples in a way that does not have the potential for overfitting. Then, a majority voting combines the base learners trained on these versions of the original problem. VVRP is very simple and just needs determining a proper dimensionality for the versions, an often very easy task. It is shown to be stable in a very large region of the hyperplane constructed by the dimensionality and the number of the versions. VVRP improves the best state-of-the-art DA algorithms in both small and large sample size problems in various classification fields.  相似文献

Nowadays, powder coating can be used for many application, especially for protection against corrosive environments. Powder coating is usually done with using an electrostatic device and spraying gun. With using this method, a thin film layer is created on the surface which can play decorative or protective role. In this paper, the effect of some factors such as size of powder, charging, voltage, air flow, gun distance, charge–to-mass ratio, feed rate, coating functionality, glass transition temperature (Tg), viscosity, catalyst, temperature and curing time on the coating properties and their influence on the coating were mentioned. In recent years, nano composite polymers have been considered severely. Coating properties are improved by adding nanoparticles such as clay, SiO2, TiO2 and Al2O3 to the polymer composition. These coatings are used for reducing the gas permeability, thermal stability, optical clarity and increasing the mechanical and corrosion properties of coatings also these coatings have high mechanical properties that can be pointed to its high abrasion resistance. In this paper, the corrosion properties and the effect of adding nanoparticles on the corrosion resistance properties of powder coatings have been investigated, also the mechanical properties of powder coatings were reviwed.  相似文献

Urethane methacrylate trimethoxysilane (UAMS) organic–inorganic material was synthesized by the reaction of isophorone diisocyanate with hydroxyethyl methacrylate and aminopropyltrimethoxysilane. This precursor was then added to urethane trimethacrylate (UTMA); consequently, silica domains were appeared within the resulting ultraviolet (UV)-irradiated hybrid coatings. The sol–gel precursors having different amounts of UAMS as well as the UV-irradiated nanocomposite specimens were thoroughly characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, SEM, and TGA. The results provided support for the fact that thermo-mechanical properties of hybrid coatings were enhanced markedly by the incorporation of UAMS. This can be explained by the generation of Si–O–Si hard segments throughout the UV-cured films. Study on hardness and thermal stability behavior provided further evidences for the action of UAMS as coupling agent. Noticeably, thermal stability of hybrid coatings experienced an upward trend with the UAMS content, which can be inferred on the basis of strict restrictions on the mobility of polymer chains imposed by the crosslinked network.  相似文献
