To overcome the difficulty on building manually complex models of chain drives, this work proposes a comprehensive methodology to build multibody models of any general chain drive automatically from a minimal set of data. The proposed procedure also evaluates the initial positions and velocities of all components of the drive that are consistent with the kinematic joints or with the contact pairs used in the model. In this methodology, all links and sprockets are represented by rigid bodies connected to each other either by ideal or by clearance revolute joints. The clearance revolute joint contact is further extended to handle the contact between the chain rollers and the sprocket teeth exact profiles. A suitable cylindrical continuous contact law is applied to describe the interaction on all contact pairs. One of the complexities of the computational study of roller chain drives is the large number of bodies in the system and the dynamics of the successive engagement and disengagement of the rollers with the sprockets. Each time a roller engages or disengages with a sprocket tooth, the number of rigid bodies in contact changes. The search for the contact pairs is recognized as one of the most time consuming task in contact analysis. This work proposes a procedure to specify the contact pairs and their update during the dynamic analysis optimizing the computational efficiency of the contact search. The methodologies adopted result in a general computer program that is applied and demonstrated in a generic chain drive that can be used in industrial machines, vehicle engines or any other type of mechanical system. 相似文献

Liking for a sweet, salty or fatty diet may induce overconsumption of simple carbohydrates, sodium or lipids. Measuring overall liking of the corresponding sensory sensations contributes to understanding the determinants of dietary behaviours. However, no standardized validated questionnaire assaying these sensations is currently available. In the present study, we developed a web-based questionnaire, “PrefQuest”, which measures recalled liking for the following four sensations: salt, fat and salt, sweet, fat and sweet. PrefQuest included four types of items: (1) liking for sweet, fatty-sweet and fatty-salty foods, (2) preferences in the level of seasoning by adding salt, sweeteners, or fat, (3) preferences for types of dishes in a restaurant menu and (4) overall questions about sweet-, salt- and fat-related behaviours. A development study (n = 198) demonstrated that PrefQuest was feasible, well-perceived, only lasted about 20 min and that items were repeatable (overall mean intra-class correlation coefficient: 0.77, SD 0.08). Construct validity was then evaluated on a larger population sample (n = 47 803). The underlying structure within each of the four sensations was determined by exploratory factor analysis and then internally validated by confirmatory factor analysis. After a selection of the most relevant items, the salt, fat-and-salt, sweet, and fat-and-sweet scales exhibited a theoretically meaningful factor structure, unidimensional for the salt scale and with interrelated sub-dimensions for the sweet, fat-and-salt, and fat-and-sweet scales. Based on the fat-and-sweet and fat-and-salt scales, a fat model was also unveiled. For each factor, internal consistency as well as convergent and divergent validities were demonstrated. Overall, PrefQuest is an internally valid and original tool that can be used to assay recalled liking for sweet, salt, and fat considered altogether or separately as fat and salt or fat and sweet, and can be applied to large population surveys. 相似文献

This article examines the absolute and conditional convergence of real GDP per capita in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) during the period 1950?C2003. Income departures across countries were evaluated from several panel data unit root tests. We find no evidence supporting the existence of convergence process for the income in the COMESA. Nevertheless, applying economic development criterion allows to identity two absolute convergence clubs into the COMESA, one for the most four developed countries (Egypt, Libya, Mauritius, Seychelles), and one other for the fourteen less developed ones. Thus, we show that most economies of COMESA are locked into a sustained poverty trap process. 相似文献

The aim of this work was to study the interaction of sulpiride with human serum albumin (HSA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) through the fluorescence quenching technique. As sulpiride molecules emit fluorescence, we have developed a simple mathematical model to discriminate the quencher fluorescence from the albumin fluorescence in the solution where they interact. Sulpiride is an antipsychotic used in the treatment of several psychiatric disorders. We selectively excited the fluorescence of tryptophan residues with 290 nm wavelength and observed the quenching by titrating HSA and BSA solutions with sulpiride. Stern-Volmer graphs were plotted and quenching constants were estimated. Results showed that sulpiride form complexes with both albumins. Estimated association constants for the interaction sulpiride–HSA were 2.20 (±0.08) × 104 M−1, at 37 °C, and 5.46 (±0.20) × 104 M−1, at 25 °C. Those for the interaction sulpiride-BSA are 0.44 (±0.01) × 104 M−1, at 37 °C and 2.17 (±0.04) × 104 M−1, at 25 °C. The quenching intensity of BSA, which contains two tryptophan residues in the peptide chain, was found to be higher than that of HSA, what suggests that the primary binding site for sulpiride in albumin should be located next to the sub domain IB of the protein structure. 相似文献

Ceramics possess osteoconductive properties but exhibit no intrinsic osteoinductive capacity. Consequently, they are unable to induce new bone formation in extra osseous sites. In order to develop bone substitutes with osteogenic properties, one promising approach consists of creating hybrid materials by associating in vitro biomaterials with osteoprogenitor cells. With this aim, we have developed a novel strategy of biomimetic modification to enhance osseointegration of hydroxyapatite (HA) implants. RGD-containing peptides displaying different conformations (linear GRGDSPC and cyclo-DfKRG) were grafted onto HA surface by means of a three-step reaction procedure: silanisation with APTES, cross-linking with N-succinimidyl-3-maleimidopropionate and finally immobilisation of peptides thanks to thiol bonding. Whole process was performed in anhydrous conditions to ensure the reproducibility of the chemical functionalisation. The three-step reaction procedure was characterised by high resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Efficiency of this biomimetic modification was finally demonstrated by measuring the adhesion of osteoprogenitor cells isolated from HBMSC onto HA surface. 相似文献

Forty-nine strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), isolated from commercially available ready-to-eat (RTE) meat products, were screened for their ability to inhibit the growth of Listeria monocytogenes at refrigeration (5 degrees C) temperatures on agar spot tests. The three most inhibitory strains were identified as Pediococcus acidilactici, Lactobacillus casei, and Lactobacillus paracasei by 16S rDNA sequence analysis. Their antilisterial activity was quantified in associative cultures in deMan Rogosa Sharpe (MRS) broth at 5 degrees C for 28 days, resulting in a pathogen reduction of 3.5 log10 cycles compared to its initial level. A combined culture of these strains was added to frankfurters and cooked ham coinoculated with L. monocytogenes, vacuum packaged, and stored at 5 degrees C for 28 days. Bacteriostatic activity was observed in cooked ham, whereas bactericidal activity was observed in frankfurters. Numbers of L. monocytogenes were 4.2 to 4.7 log10 and 2.6 log10 cycles lower than controls in frankfurters and cooked ham, respectively, after the 28-day refrigerated storage. In all cases, numbers of LAB increased by only 1 log10 cycle. The strain identified as P. acidilactici was possibly a bacteriocin producer, whereas the antilisterial activity of the other two strains was due to the production of organic acids. There was no significant difference (P > 0.05) in the antilisterial activity detected in frankfurters whether the LAB strains were used individually or as combined cultures. Further studies over a 56-day period indicated no impact on the quality of the product. This method represents a potential antilisterial intervention in RTE meats, because it inhibited the growth of the pathogen at refrigeration temperatures without causing sensory changes. 相似文献

On the other hand, squamous cell carcinoma of the prostate, with a median incidence of .5%-1% of all prostatic malignancies, has a similar clinical presentation but differs in treatment response and prognosis.
