Titania-supported vanadia catalysts were modified by addition of antimony oxide for application in o-xylene selective oxidation to phthalic anhydride. It was shown that active and selective catalysts can be prepared by ball-milling mixtures of powders of TiO2, V2O5and Sb2O3followed by calcination. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proves the formation of highly dispersed overlayers of vanadium oxide and antimony oxide, in which V5+is partially reduced to lower oxidation states and Sb3+is partially oxidized to Sb5+. Antimony oxide segregated into the outermost surface layers. It is therefore inferred that the presence of the antimony oxide modifier spatially separates V–O species and leads to site isolation which may be responsible for the positive effect of the modifier for the catalyst's selectivity.  相似文献

This article aims to further improve previously developed design for Acrobot walking based on partial exact feedback linearisation of order 3. Namely, such an exact system transformation leads to an almost linear system where error dynamics along trajectory to be tracked is a 4-dimensional linear time-varying system having three time-varying entries only, the remaining entries being either zero or one. In such a way, exponentially stable tracking can be obtained by quadratically stabilising a linear system with polytopic uncertainty. The current improvement is based on applying linear matrix inequalities (LMI) methods to solve this problem numerically. This careful analysis significantly improves previously known approaches. Numerical simulations of Acrobot walking based on the above-mentioned LMI design are demonstrated as well.  相似文献

A series of ceria-supported vanadium catalysts was prepared via impregnation of the support with an ammonium metavanadate solution. The 723 K calcined samples were tested for propane oxydehydrogenation (ODH) activity and selectivity. The sample exhibiting the highest propane conversion was found to be the ceria support material itself, although this showed essentially no selectivity towards propene. An optimum propene yield of 4.2% was obtained at 673 K for the 6 wt% V2O5-CeO2 sample. Conversion decreased with increasing V loading which was attributed to the formation of cerium vanadate (CeVO4). This phase was found in all samples after calcination, its abundance rising in proportion to the V loading. In the 6 wt% V2O5 catalyst hydrated surface VOx species were present, although they underwent conversion to CeVO4 at temperatures above 573 K. The low reducibility of these surface vanadates was linked to the oxidation activity. It is inferred that surface polyvanadate species are responsible for the selective ODH of propane with V-O-V and/or V-O-Ce being the active oxygen species.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to show whether analysed nutrient data correlate with calculated values from a food database. For this purpose the calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc contents of 62 menu components from lunch menus were determined with ICP-AES. Then the analysed values were compared with calculated values from a widely used food database. Our results indicated that there is a significant correlation (p > 0.01) between the analysed and calculated values of all four elements. The correlation coefficient as determined with nonparametric correlation analysis was 0.807 for calcium, 0.786 for magnesium, 0.772 for zinc, and 0.414 for copper. Although these correlations are significant, great differences between analysed and calculated values for all four elements could be found when considering single menu components. Therefore data of studies illustrating analysed with calculated values of single menu components have practical importance.  相似文献

Several techniques were used to study a surface layer structure of edge-defined film-fed grown polycrystalline silicon samples grown in CO gas deliberately added to the purging atmosphere. Although infrared analysis reveals the presence of cubic SiC structures, other techniques, such as spectroscopic ellipsometry and Raman spectroscopy, do not detect its presence. It is concluded that a layer with specific structure, formed in the course of ribbon growth, consists of indiffused oxygen formed upon reaction of CO gas with molten Si. Indiffused oxygen, in turn, induces coaggregation of carbon and silicon selfinterstitials that probably play the role of SiC nucleation centres, but do not have the thermal stability of SiC.  相似文献

A new method is presented for quantifying proteomic and metabolomic profile data by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) with electrospray ionization. This biotechnology provides differential expression measurements and enables the discovery of biological markers (biomarkers). Work presented here uses human serum but is applicable to any fluid or tissue. The approach relies on linearity of signal versus molecular concentration and reproducibility of sample processing. There is no use of isotopic labeling or chemically similar standard materials. Linear standard curves are reported for a variety of compounds introduced into human serum. As a measure of analytical reproducibility for proteome and metabolome sampling, median coefficients of variation of 25.7 and 23.8%, respectively, were determined for approximately 3400 molecular ions (not counting their numerous isotopes) from 25 independently processed human serum samples, corresponding to a total of 85000 individual molecular ion measurements.  相似文献

The focus of the present work is the study of carbon co-deposition effect on the optical and mechanical properties of zirconia films. Optical and dielectric constant, band gap and transition lifetime of such composite systems were determined, as well as their elasticity properties. The thin ZrO2−x-C films were sputter-deposited on silicon and polycarbonate, from a pure ZrO2 and graphite targets in a radio-frequency argon plasma.Besides the zirconia phase and crystalline parameter changes induced by carbon addition, the electronic properties to the films were significantly modified: a drastical optical gap lowering was observed along an increased electronic dielectric constant and refractive index. The invariance of the film elasticity modulus and the similarity of the optical transition lifetime values with those of pure amorphous carbon films indicate an immiscibility of the ceramic and carbon components of the film structure.  相似文献

This study has shown that cyclosporine A (CyA), under certain conditions, is a powerful inhibitor of intravascular and extravascular monocyte/macrophage accumulation. Experiments were carried out in Lewis rats in which intravenous injection of particulate glucan calls forth a striking granulomatous response in lung, liver, and spleen and produces a marked stimulation of splenic erythro- and myelopoiesis. In agreement with the results of others, there was also a considerable elevation in monocyte/macrophage chemoattractant levels in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, which is held to be a key reaction in the pathogenesis of the histologic lesions. Treatment of the animals with subcutaneous injections of CyA prevented the rise in the chemoattractant activity and suppressed the granulomatous organ infiltration as well as the splenic hemopoiesis. The findings supply new insights into the activities of CyA and would support its clinical use in macrophage-dominated diseases.  相似文献

We developed and tested gas sensing devices based on TiO/sub 2/ nano-crystalline films produced at room temperature by the novel growth method of cluster beam deposition. The devices show a very good response to ethanol, methanol, and propanol and an overall performance comparable or better to the best devices reported in literature, based on films grown with other techniques. The major advantage of our growth method is that there is no need of the thermal annealing or doping processes usually required to improve sensitivity and reliability of gas sensing devices based on nanostructured thin film. The sensors dynamic response gives a maximum sensitivity for ethanol at about 250/spl deg/C. As the morphological (AFM) and structural (XRD) characterizations of the films show, the high performance of our sensors could only be achieved because their nano-crystalline structure was well controlled by the properties of the cluster precursors in the supersonic beam. We envisage possible further developments in terms of sensitivity and selectivity of gas sensing devices based on films grown by cluster beam deposition.  相似文献

Steroid hormones play a crucial role in supporting a successful pregnancy and ensuring proper fetal development. The placenta is one of the principal tissues in steroid production and metabolism, expressing a vast range of steroidogenic enzymes. Nevertheless, a comprehensive characterization of steroidogenic pathways in the human placenta and potential developmental changes occurring during gestation are poorly understood. Furthermore, the specific contribution of trophoblast cells in steroid release is largely unknown. Thus, this study aimed to (i) identify gestational age-dependent changes in the gene expression of key steroidogenic enzymes and (ii) explore the role of trophoblast cells in steroid biosynthesis and metabolism. Quantitative and Droplet Digital PCR analysis of 12 selected enzymes was carried out in the first trimester (n = 13) and term (n = 20) human placentas. Primary trophoblast cells (n = 5) isolated from human term placentas and choriocarcinoma-derived cell lines (BeWo, BeWo b30 clone, and JEG-3) were further screened for gene expression of enzymes involved in placental synthesis/metabolism of steroids. Finally, de novo steroid synthesis by primary human trophoblasts was evaluated, highlighting the functional activity of steroidogenic enzymes in these cells. Collectively, we provide insights into the expression patterns of steroidogenic enzymes as a function of gestational age and delineate the cellular origin of steroidogenesis in the human placenta.  相似文献
