Lignocellulose materials were modified with 3-chlor-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammoniumchloride, 1,3-bis(3-chlor-2-hydroxypropyl)imidazoliumhydrogensulphate, and 2-chlorethyl-sodiumsulphonate and the flame-retardant properties of materials obtained were studied. The flame-retardant effect was proved using the limited oxygen index (LOI) method and values up to 32.8 vol % of oxygen were determined. The LOI values were higher when the modification was done without using NaOH for activation, but in that case the alkylating groups were not chemically bonded to the material. The NaOH activation was necessary to obtain material with flame-retardant properties stable against washing. No synergistic effects were observed when the material was modified with both nitrogen- and sulfur-containing groups. 相似文献
With the help of DTA, DTG elementary analysis of carbonized residues and ESR spectroscopy the influence of anionic form on thermooxidation of trimethylammoniumhydroxyprophyl (TMAHP)–cellulose was studied. At 300°C the percentage of carbon in carbonized residue thermolyzed in oxidative atmosphere is higher than for the sample degraded in inert atmosphere. The percentage of hydrogen decreases simultaneously. The concentration of free radicals in thermolyzed residue also increases due to the presence of oxygen. We propose that oxygen is abstracting the hydrogen atoms from polysaccharide and unpaired electrons on carbon atoms are produced. At 400°C the percentage of carbon in residues prepared at inert atmosphere is higher than for residue formed at oxidative atmosphere. Also the concentration of free radicals in thermolyzed residues obtained in inert atmosphere is greater than for those from oxidative ones. That is why suppose that at this temperature oxygen is bonded to polysaccharide residue and free radicals are terminated. From the semiquantitative DTA we can make the following sequence of samples according to their increasing thermooxidative effect: unmodified cellulose < A–HSO < A–Br? < A–I? < A–NO < A–H2PO < A–CH3COO? < A–HCO < A–F? < A–Cl?1 < A–OHp?. 相似文献
The dried bean beetle, Acanthoscelides obtectus, is an economically important, worldwide pest of legume crops including dry beans, Phaseolus vulgaris. Assessment of A. obtectus infestation levels in pre-harvest field crops and post-harvest granaries is difficult to achieve because there is no effective monitoring tool for early detection so that interventions can be deployed as needed. Because A. obtectus is a generic pollen and nectar feeder, we adopted an electrophysiological (EAG) screening approach, using the antennae of female A. obtectus to identify physiologically active, volatile phytochemicals, which could then be investigated for their attractiveness to A. obtectus in laboratory behavioral assays and preliminary field tests. Of the 27 compounds tested in EAG screening, 5 compounds, i.e., methyl anthranilate, methyl eugenol, benzyl alcohol, (RS)-lavandulol, and 2-phenylethanol, elicited stronger EAG responses than the standard (1-phenylethanol). In 4-arm olfactometer bioassays, female A. obtectus preferred the olfactometer arm containing the odor of either methyl anthranilate or benzyl alcohol compared to the solvent control. In preliminary field tests using these 2 compounds as a binary mixture, at least 5 times as many beetles were caught on baited traps compared to non-baited traps. The field data also suggested that benzyl alcohol was primarily responsible for the field activity of the blend. We hypothesize that the attraction of A. obtectus to the combined benzyl alcohol/methyl anthranilate and the single benzyl alcohol baits is connected to the species` nectar- and pollen-feeding behaviour and not to its intraspecific communication. To our knowledge, this is the first evidence that A. obtectus behavior in the field can be modified by the deployment of plant-derived semiochemicals.
Digitization brings about new ways of analyzing data from cultural heritage areas. Automatic error detection, as input to semiautomatic error correction, is one type of analysis that can be found high on the priority list of cultural heritage data managers and researchers. We describe a general approach to cleaning cultural heritage databases. We present four case studies on databases from different cultural heritage institutions, and describe an information system in which we embed our error detector in a larger framework, enabling researchers to access, check, and correct their data more easily than before. 相似文献
The TSMG process of YBCO bulk superconductors with Y1.5Ba2Cu3Ox composition and 1 wt% CeO2 addition has been studied. It is shown that the window for isothermal growth of single-crystalline sample grown from Sm123 seed is between 988 °C and 1003 °C. At lower temperatures of this window, Y123 crystals grow with higher growth rate but the quality of crystals is worse due to the formation of steps at the growth front. During an isothermal dwell at the optimized temperature, the growth of Y123 single-crystal stops due to decreasing peritectic temperature with increasing CuO concentration in the melt. Additional slow cooling 1 °C/hour from the temperature of isothermal growth leads to epitaxial growth of Y123 crystal over the entire sample. Only very narrow part at the rim of the sample contains CuO phase and blocky Y123 crystals are formed there due to self-nucleation. 相似文献
This study focuses on the removal of 22 selected micropollutants in an effluent from a municipal wastewater treatment plant (MWTP) at pilot scale. A reactor of 37 L with five low pressure mercury lamps emitting at 254 nm (UV254) was used. The 22 micropollutants include 15 pharmaceuticals, 2 X-Ray contrast medias, 1 corrosion inhibitor and 4 biocides/pesticides. Five of these 22 compounds were used as indicative substances as proposed by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) (carbamazepine, diclofenac, sulfamethoxazole, benzotriazole and mecoprop). 相似文献
The enantiomeric purity of Nα-Fmoc-protected amino acids is crucial from the viewpoint of peptide synthesis; therefore, a sensitive high-performance liquid chromatographic protocol was developed for the identification and quantification of enantiomeric impurities of commercially available Nα-Fmoc-protected amino acids on Cinchona alkaloid quinine- and quinidine-based weak anion exchanger-type chiral stationary phases. In the course of the evaluation of the chiral chromatographic method, the effect of the mobile phase composition, nature, and concentration of different additives were optimized. The specific phenomenon that quinine- and quinidine-based chiral stationary phases behave as pseudo-enantiomers permits that the sequence of elution of the enantiomers might be reversed by simple column switching. This is quite advantageous as regards the separation of the minor component in the presence of the major one. The method developed permits detection of less than 0.01 % enantiomeric impurity in the presence of the major enantiomer. 相似文献
