Carbonaceous materials have recently received attention in electronic applications and measurement systems. In this work, we demonstrate the electrical behavior of carbon films fabricated by methane arc discharge decomposition technique. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of carbon films are investigated in the presence and absence of gas. The experiment reveals that the current passing through the carbon films increases when the concentration of CO2 gas is increased from 200 to 800 ppm. This phenomenon which is a result of conductance changes can be employed in sensing applications such as gas sensors.  相似文献

Cu(BDC) metal–organic framework (MOF) was used as a support for the copper (Cu) catalyst applied in the methanol steam reforming (MSR) process at low temperatures (130–250 °C) with a feed WHSV = 9.2 h?1 within the monolithic reactor. Also, the effects of diverse promoters were examined on the catalytic activities of the Cu/X–Cu(BDC) (X = Ce, Zn, Gd, Sm, La, Y, Pr) catalysts. Results showed that the Ce/Sm–Cu(BDC) supports exhibited highest activities, lowest reduction temperatures and largest specific surface areas, which caused highest distributions of the active copper metal nanoparticles on the supports. The reactor tests displayed that the activities of Cu/X–Cu(BDC) (X = Ce, Zn, Gd, Sm, La, Y, Pr) catalysts followed the order X = Ce > Sm > Y > La > Pr > Cu(BDC) > Zn > Gd. The highest activities of Ce and Sm containing catalysts were attributed to the presence of CeO2 and Sm2O3 caused the oxygen vacancies on the catalyst surface which had positive effects on the methanol reforming process. The time-on-stream stability tests showed the highest resistance of the Cu/Ce–Cu(BDC) catalyst to the carbon formation during 32 h. Consequently, the Cu/Ce–Cu(BDC) with the highest stability, methanol conversion and carbon monoxide selectivity could be used in practical industrial applications.  相似文献

Tetramesitylporphyrin platinum(VI) dihydroxo complex, TMPPt(OH)2 · 2 benzoate was synthesized by addition of two equivalent of meta-chloroperbenzoic acid molecules to the tetramesitylporphyrin platinum(II). The use of polymeric reagents simplifies the routine acylation of amines because it eliminates traditional purification. In this article, the use of readily available crosslinked poly(4‐vinylpyridine)‐supported benzoyl chloride as an acylating agent of amines in the presence of K2CO3 in n‐hexane is described. The product was readily obtained by the filtration and evaporation of the solvent. The spent polymeric reagent could be regenerated and reused. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Nitrates are useful drugs in cardiovascular medicine. They have a presumed vasovagal effect, which is a rare but often under-recognised complication that is partly caused by central inhibition of the sympathetic nervous system. However, no consistent variable associated with the presumed vasovagal effects following nitrate administration can be identified, and there are only limited reports of the phenomenon in the literature. In fact, the true prevalence of such a complication is unknown, because no data from observational studies exist, although it would seem likely to be a rare event. A greater awareness and recognition of this unusual effect of nitrate use is necessary in view of the increasing use of nitrates. Fortunately, recovery is generally the rule with supportive management.  相似文献

We report a patient with a 17-year history of reticulated keratotic papules on the trunk and limbs, and telangiectatic eruption on the face, in whom the diagnosis of keratosis lichenoides chronica was first established. However, the biopsies showed an epidermotropic infiltrate of small irregular CD4+ lymphocytes, and detection of a T-cell clone in the lesions by polymerase chain reaction confirmed the diagnosis of mycosis fungoides. Thus, keratosis lichenoides chronica can be an unusual and potentially misleading presentation of mycosis fungoides.  相似文献

In this paper, a microring resonator (MRR) system using double-series ring resonators is proposed to generate and investigate the Rabi oscillations. The system is made up of silicon-on-insulator and attached to bus waveguide which is used as propagation and oscillation medium. The scattering matrix method is employed to determine the output signal intensity which acts as the input source between two-level Rabi oscillation states, where the increase of Rabi oscillation frequency with time is obtained at the resonant state. The population probability of the excited state is higher and unstable at the optical resonant state due to the nonlinear spontaneous emission process. The enhanced spontaneous emission can be managed by the atom (photon) excitation, which can be useful for atomic related sensors and single-photon source applications.  相似文献

Beneficial metabolic effects of inorganic nitrate (NO3) and nitrite (NO2) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have been documented in animal experiments; however, this is not the case for humans. Although it has remained an open question, the redox environment affecting the conversion of NO3 to NO2 and then to NO is suggested as a potential reason for this lost-in-translation. Ascorbic acid (AA) has a critical role in the gastric conversion of NO2 to NO following ingestion of NO3. In contrast to AA-synthesizing species like rats, the lack of ability to synthesize AA and a lower AA body pool and plasma concentrations may partly explain why humans with T2DM do not benefit from NO3/NO2 supplementation. Rats also have higher AA concentrations in their stomach tissue and gastric juice that can significantly potentiate gastric NO2-to-NO conversion. Here, we hypothesized that the lack of beneficial metabolic effects of inorganic NO3 in patients with T2DM may be at least in part attributed to species differences in AA metabolism and also abnormal metabolism of AA in patients with T2DM. If this hypothesis is proved to be correct, then patients with T2DM may need supplementation of AA to attain the beneficial metabolic effects of inorganic NO3 therapy.  相似文献

Developing interfacial connections is one of the breakthrough strategies to improve the photocatalytic activity. Herein, ZnBi2O4 nanoparticles-ZnO nanorods heterojunction was successfully synthesized and used, as a dual-function photocatalyst, for photocatalytic degradation of Bisphenol A and hydrogen production with improved photocatalytic activity under simulated sunlight irradiation. The highest H2 production (3.44 mmol g?1 h?1) was obtained for ZnO-20 wt% ZnBi2O4 sample, which is around 12.7 times higher than pure ZnO. According to the HRTEM result, the intimate interfacial connections are formed between ZnO and ZnBi2O4 which could act as trapping centers for charge carriers and results in the boosted photocatalytic activity. Further, a high aspect ratio of 1D ZnO nanorods and small size of 0D ZnBi2O4 nanoparticles (~10 nm) increases the number of interfacial contacts and thus the charge carriers’ recombination was suppressed more efficiently. Based on the trapping experiments, ESR and Mott-Schottky analysis, ZnBi2O4–ZnO hybrid photocatalyst followed the S-scheme charge transfer mechanism.  相似文献
