The reductive benzylation of aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes with benzylic halides is reported using a nickel/zinc catalyst system. In addition to benzylic halides, the first report on the addition of benzylic triflates, acetates, tosylates and tritylates to aldehydes is also presented. By this new method a range of alcohols was synthesized efficiently from aldehydes and benzylic substrates at room temperature in moderate to high yields. The mild reaction conditions and good functional group tolerance make this nickel‐catalyzed process synthetically useful for the synthesis of diverse benzylic alcohols.

Aluminum matrix nano-composites have been widely used in various fields such as aerospace, automobile, and packing industries. In this study, the effect of nano-SiC content on the microst-ructure, wear resistance and micro-hardness of Al–Si/SiC nano-composite was investigated. In this regard, Al–Si matrix was reinforced by different amounts of nano-SiC: 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 3, 5, 10 wt %. The results showed that with increasing the nano-SiC weight ratio, nano-particles are agglomerated and unsuitable sintering increases the porosity, as pores and cavities. For more than 1.5% weight ratio of nano-SiC in the matrix, the wear resistance and the micro-hardness decreased. The results of the wear test, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and worn surfaces showed that the dominant wear mechanism is controlled by nano-SiC contents. This study indicated that with adding nano-SiC particles more than the optimal content, wear resistance and micro-hardness of Al–Si/SiC nano-composite increased more than twice.  相似文献

This paper presents a scheme to accurately tune the quality factor of second-order LC bandpass filters. The information of the magnitude response at the center and one of the cutoff frequencies is used to tune both the amplitude and the quality factor of the filter using two independent yet interacting loops. Furthermore, the synergic interaction between the loops makes the proposed scheme stable and insensitive to the mismatch between the input amplitudes. A chip prototype was implemented in a 0.35-mum CMOS process and consumes 4.3 mA from a single 1.3-V supply. Measurement results show that at 1.97 GHz the quality factor is tunable from 60 to 220 while the amplitude is tunable between -15 and 0 dBm with worst case quality factor and amplitude tuning accuracies of 10% and 7%, respectively  相似文献

In this work, a biosensor was developed for the determination of sulfite. The bioelectrochemical response of the enzyme-modified electrode based on electrochemical incorporation of sulfite oxidase into polyaniline aluminum modified electrode was investigated. Electropolymerization of polyaniline and simultaneous immobilization of sulfite oxidase on the aluminum were performed in an aqueous solution containing sulfite oxidase. The sulfite biosensor constructed by cycling the potential scan between +1.2 and ?0.5 V vs. saturated calomel electrode (SCE) that showed a sensitive response to sulfite with a linear calibration graph in the concentration ranges of 0.006–5 mM sulfite and detection limit 0.002 mM sulfite (S/N = 3). The obtained results from the stability tests of the biosensor show that the sulfite biosensor can be used for two different applications, for immediate usage and long term usage. Also, the bioelectrochemical response of the enzyme-modified electrode as a sulfite biosensor was evaluated at different experimental conditions. The optimum pH when using phosphate buffer and temperature were 8.5 and 35 °C, respectively. Finally, the apparent Michaelis–Menten constant was determined which has value of 0.365 mM which is really close to the magnitude of the Michaelis–Menten constant of free sulfite oxidase that shows the enzyme was not chemically modified and has its usual kinetic reaction.  相似文献

The use of chitosan as a combined thickener and binder in pigment printing has been examined in comparison with a commercial printing system (Alcoprint). Printing pastes made up from mixtures of chitosan, pigment and acetic acid at the appropriate viscosity gave satisfactory prints on polyester and 67:33 polyester/cotton woven fabrics. Rheological data showed the chitosan pigment paste had a much lower yield point than commercial printing paste though no difficulties were found in its use. Curing of the chitosan print at 150°C for 6 min gave samples of comparable colour fastness to the commercial printed samples when subjected to the rubbing and washing tests. The only drawbacks noted in using chitosan in this way were a reduced colour yield and a much higher fabric stiffness.  相似文献

This work presents an analysis on frequency planning and synthesis for multiband (MB) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) ultra-wideband (UWB) radios operating in the range of 3.1-10.6 GHz. The most important specifications for the frequency synthesizer in an MB-OFDM UWB transceiver are provided. A synthesizer architecture for an existing frequency plan is introduced along with a discussion on its performance and implementation. An alternative frequency plan and its corresponding synthesizer architecture are also proposed. It is shown how this modified frequency plan leads to a significant simplification in the synthesizer realization. The feasible performance of both synthesizer architectures is evaluated through macromodel simulations using realistic models for the building blocks. Finally, system-level simulation results showing the impact of synthesizer spurs on the bit error rate performance of an MB-OFDM UWB receiver in the presence of interferers are provided. The presented results and discussion provide valuable insight for the implementation of a 3.1-10.6-GHz UWB synthesizer.  相似文献

Measurements of austempering kinetics and mechanical properties are presented as a function of austempering time over the range 1–4320 min for different combinations of austempering temperature (275, 315, 370 and 400 °C) and austenitizing temperature (870, 900 and 950 °C) for a ductile iron of composition 3.5% C, 2.6% Si, 0.48% Cu, 0.96% Ni, 0.27% Mo and 0.25% Mn. The austempering kinetics are used to calculate processing windows for the three austenitizing temperatures. The mechanical properties are analysed to show that the processing windows accurately predict the austempering times over which the mechanical properties satisfy the ASTM standard. The analysis shows the role of austenitizing temperature, austempering temperature and time in optimizing the mechanical properties. This study determined quality changes of whole ungutted golden gray mullet (Liza aurata) while stored in ice or in a refrigerator (without ice). Changes in microbiological quality (total viable and psychrophilic counts, lactic acid bacteria and Enterobacteriaceae), chemical quality (pH, total volatile basic nitrogen, trimethylamine, peroxide value, thiobarbituric acid, and free fatty acids), and raw fish sensory attributes were evaluated during 16 days of storage. The sensory attributes of golden gray mullet correlated well with the microbiological analyses (r = 0.92). Based on the overall raw acceptability sensory scores and the microbiological tests, the shelf life of the raw golden gray mullet was 10 days in ice and about 14 days in a refrigerator.  相似文献
