In this paper, we present the method which calculates the probability of the output of a general combinational network being 1, when the probabilities is given for each input being 1. Also we present the method which derives the output probability expression in terms of a given set of input probabilities.The method is based on a basic probability axiom and Binary Decision Diagrams. A Boolean function for a combinational network is transformed into a Binary Decision Diagram and the output probability expression is derived from it. Therefore a derivation of the output probability for a combinational network can be straightforward. Some examples are showed that the method using Binary Decision Diagrams is simple and efficient. We can see a variation of the output probability for a combinational network according to the given set of input probabilities.  相似文献

Cell division cycle 25A (Cdc25A) is a dual-specificity phosphatase that is overexpressed in several cancer cells and promotes tumorigenesis. In normal cells, Cdc25A expression is regulated tightly, but the changes in expression patterns in cancer cells that lead to tumorigenesis are unknown. In this study, we showed that ubiquitin-specific protease 29 (USP29) stabilized Cdc25A protein expression in cancer cell lines by protecting it from ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation. The presence of USP29 effectively blocked polyubiquitination of Cdc25A and extended its half-life. CRISPR-Cas9-mediated knockdown of USP29 in HeLa cells resulted in cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase. We also showed that USP29 knockdown hampered Cdc25A-mediated cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of cancer cells in vitro. Moreover, NSG nude mice transplanted with USP29-depleted cells significantly reduced the size of the tumors, whereas the reconstitution of Cdc25A in USP29-depleted cells significantly increased the tumor size. Altogether, our results implied that USP29 promoted cell cycle progression and oncogenic transformation by regulating protein turnover of Cdc25A.  相似文献

To produce low calorific value gas, Australian coal has been gasified with air and steam in a fluidized bed reactor (0.1 m-I.Dx1.6 m-high) at atmospheric pressure. The effects of fluidizing gas velocity (2–5 Uf/Umf), reaction temperature (750–900 °C), air/coal ratio (1.6-3.2), and steam/coal ratio (0.63–1.26) on gas composition, gas yield, gas calorific value of the product gas and carbon conversion have been determined. The calorific value and yield of the product gas, cold gas efficiency, and carbon conversion increase with increasing fluidization gas velocity and reaction temperature. With increasing air/coal ratio, carbon conversion, cold gas efficiency and yield of the product gas increase, but the calorific value of the product gas decreases. When steam/coal ratio is increased, cold gas efficiency, yield and calorific value of the product gas increase, but carbon conversion is little changed. Unburned carbon fraction of cyclone fine decreases with increasing fluidization gas velocity, reaction temperature and air/coal ratio, but is nearly constant with increasing steam/coal ratio. Overall carbon conversion decreases with increasing fluidization velocity and air/ coal ratio, but increases with increasing reaction temperature. The particle entrainment rate increases with increasing fluidization velocity, but decreases with increasing reaction temperature. The aims of this study were to determine equal sensation curves for hand–arm steering wheel rotational vibration and to investigate the effect of gender on the subjective perceived intensity of steering wheel hand–arm vibration. Psychophysical response tests of 40 participants (20 males and 20 females) were performed using a steering wheel rotational vibration simulator using the category-ratio Borg CR10 scale procedure for direct estimation of perceived intensity. The test stimuli were sinusoidal vibrations at 22 third octave band centre frequencies in the range from 3 to 400 Hz, with acceleration amplitudes in the range from 0.04 to 27 m/s2 r.m.s. Multivariate regression procedures were applied to the experimentally acquired data in order to establish a regression model expressing the Borg CR10 perceived intensity values as a function of the two independent parameters of the frequency and amplitude of vibration. The equal sensation curves suggested a non-linear dependency of the subjective perceived intensity on both frequency and amplitude. Females were found to provide higher Borg CR10 perceived intensity values than males (p < 0.05), particularly at the higher intensity levels above approximately 1.0 m/s2 r.m.s and at the higher frequencies above approximately 20 Hz.

Relevance to industry

For the manufacturers of steering systems and of other automobile components this study provides vibration perception curves and identifies the possible importance of gender towards the perception of vibration which arrives at the steering wheel.  相似文献

Six out of 42 essential oils extracted from species of the family Myrtaceae found in Australia were shown to have potent fumigant toxicity against three major stored-grain insects: Sitophilus oryzae, Tribolium castaneum and Rhyzopertha dominica. These were the essential oils from Eucalyptus nicholii, E. codonocarpa, E. blakelyi, Callistemon sieberi, Melaleuca fulgens and M. armillaris. The LD50 and LD95 of the selected essential oils against S. oryzae adults were between 19.0–30.6 and 43.6–56.0 μl/l air, respectively. Also, these oils were approximately twice as toxic to T. castaneum and R. dominica at the LD95. Fumigant effects of the essential oils rich in 1,8-cineole were considered to warrant further research into their potential for commercial use.  相似文献

Osseointegration has been used as an index for prediction of long-term success of implant. Osseointegration has been routinely evaluated by measuring bone contact ratio on histology based on two-dimensional (2D) sections or images. However, these both methodologies have been less informative analysis of results and have several disadvantages. The aim of this study is to introduce new methodology for evaluation of a degree of osseointegration between bone and implant based on micro computed tomography (μ-CT) images. Specimen was scanned at a voxel resolution of 35 μ by μ-CT. Three-dimensional (3D) models of bone and implant were reconstructed respectively. Bone contact area (BCA) and bone contact area ratio (BCAR) were measured and calculated. Here, osseointegrated BCA between bone and implant surfaces was determined by computing areas of all bone regions existed within 35μ distance from implant surface. Osseointegration of flapless implant surgery was evaluated by new methodology, compared with that of flap implant surgery. BCA and BCAR in flapless implant surgery was significantly bigger than that in flap implant surgery (p<0.05), suggesting that flapless implant surgery was more effective than flap implant surgery consistent with previous studies. In the conclusion, new methodology for evaluation osseointegration between bone and implant based on μ-CT images was likely to be reliable, useful and more informative analysis of results.  相似文献

PURPOSE: General use of nucleoside analogues in the treatment of viral infections and cancer is often limited by poor oral absorption. Valacyclovir, a water soluble amino acid ester prodrug of acyclovir has been reported to increase the oral bioavailability of acyclovir but its absorption mechanism is unknown. This study characterized the intestinal absorption mechanism of 5' -amino acid ester prodrugs of the antiviral drugs and examined the potential of amino acid esters as an effective strategy for improving oral drug absorption. METHODS: Acyclovir (ACV) and Zidovudine (AZT) were selected as the different sugar-modified nucleoside antiviral agents and synthesized to L-valyl esters of ACV and AZT (L-Val-ACV and L-Val-AZT), D-valyl ester of ACV (D-Val-ACV) and glycly ester of ACV (Gly-ACV). The intestinal absorption mechanism of these 5' -amino acid ester prodrugs was characterized in three different experimental systems; in situ rat perfusion model, CHO/hPEPT1 cells and Caco-2 cells. RESULTS: Testing 5' -amino acid ester prodrugs of acyclovir and AZT, we found that the prodrugs increased the intestinal permeability of the parent nucleoside analogue 3- to 10-fold. The dose- dependent permeation enhancement was selective for L-amino acid esters. Competitive inhibition studies in rats and in CHO cells transfected with the human peptide transporter, hPEPT1, demonstrated that membrane transport of the prodrugs was mediated predominantly by the PEPT1 H+/dipeptide cotransporter even though these prodrugs did not possess a peptide bond. Finally, transport studies in Caco-2 cells confirmed that the 5' - amino acid ester prodrugs enhanced the transcellular transport of the parent drug. CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that L-amino acid-nucleoside chimeras can serve as prodrugs to enhance intestinal absorption via the PEPT1 transporter, providing a novel strategy for improving oral therapy of nucleoside drugs.  相似文献

MOX fuel rod behavior due to PCMI during power transients was evaluated using a finite element code, ABAQUS. Clad elongation is calculated through a coupled temperature–displacement analysis where a half-pellet is axisymmetrically modeled. Parametric study for the PCMI model is preliminary performed to identify the dominant factors and examine the applicable range of the model. The comparison of the predicted results with recent MOX in-pile data shows that the centerline temperature and clad elongation are evaluated within an acceptable range.  相似文献
