Ti films prepared by ionized physical vapor deposition (I-PVD) and TiN films prepared by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) were examined as the underlayers of the Al interconnect films. The crystallographic texture of the Al films and the sheet resistance of the thin-film stacks were investigated at various thicknesses of the Ti or TiN thin film. The sheet resistance of the thin-film stacks was also measured after annealing at 400 °C in an N2 ambient. For the I-PVD Ti underlayer, the excellent texture of the Al (1 1 1) was obtained even on a 5-nm thick Ti film. However, the sheet resistance of the multilayer structure increased after the annealing due to the reaction between Al and Ti. MOCVD TiN layers between the Ti film and the Al film could suppress the Al–Ti reaction without severe degradation of the Al (1 1 1) texture. Excellent texture of the Al film was obtained with thin MOCVD TiN films below 5 nm.  相似文献

The principal focus of this study is the development of a robust macroelement model for soil–pile interaction under cyclic loads. The model incorporates frictional forces and formation of gaps at the soil–pile interface as well as hysteretic behavior of the soil. The plastic envelope of the soil behavior is modeled via the so-called p–y approach, outlined in American Petroleum Institute’s guidelines for design of foundation piles for offshore platforms. The macroelement is an intuitive assembly of various basic elements, each of which incorporating a particular aspect of the soil–pile interaction. The modular structure of this macroelement allows straightforward adaptation of improved constitutive models for its building blocks. Herein, we focus on large-diameter, cast-in-drilled-hole reinforced concrete piles (piers) that are partially or fully embedded in soil. These types of piles are frequently used as support structures in highway construction. Consequently, the numerical robustness of the interaction model is assessed with parametric studies on pile systems and soil types relevant to this type of construction. Both elastic and inelastic pile behaviors are considered in the parametric studies. The results indicate that the proposed interaction element is numerically robust, and thus, amenable to routine structural analysis.  相似文献

The principal objective of this study is the development and calibration of a macroelement model for soil-pile interaction under simultaneously applied lateral and vertical loads. Herein, we focus on cast-in-drilled-hole single piles that are partially or fully embedded in soil, which are frequently used as support structures in highway construction. The model is calibrated and verified using primarily three-dimensional finite-element simulations and, whenever possible, with experimental data obtained from open literature. These data indicate that lateral loads significantly affect the vertical response of single piles, whereas the converse coupling is negligible. The proposed macroelement model is capable of mimicking this phenomenon. As such, it is a computationally efficient alternative to finite-element analyses, and is feasible to be utilized in practical applications.  相似文献

A general approach to the transmission loss analysis of resonant-cavity combiners of the type used in cellular and in other mobile radio systems is described. A simple closed-form solution is derived for a particular type of combiner in which the cavities are connected in a star configuration via transmission lines that are odd multiples of quarter-wavelength long at the center frequency. This is an exact solution at the center of the combiner band in which one cavity is tuned to this frequency and other cavities are tuned symmetrically in pairs about this frequency. For narrow-band combiners, such as those used in cellular systems, the transmission loss obtained from this solution should be accurate for the entire band. The analysis is valid over wide ranges of combiner parameters: loaded and unloaded Q's of cavities, frequency spacings, and the number of ways it is combined. The comparison of the analytic results with laboratory measurements, although limited in scope, shows that they are in good agreement  相似文献

For the cancer cells which have overcome the second mitotic clock (M2), activated telomerase is essential and used as another marker of immortality. Many trials had been initiated to target telomerase, which is known to be specific to tumors. To determine the best in vitro cell system for testing the efficacy of telomerase inhibitors, we evaluated the telomerase activity of various cancer cell lines and measured their telomere lengths. We also treated some cancer cell lines with adriamycin and measured the changes of telomerase activity. Telomerase activity was evaluated in various cell lines with the TRAP (telomeric repeat amplification protocol) assay. Telomerase activity was calculated and translated into arbitrary units by computer-assisted densitometry with the control of telomerase activity in the 293 control cell line. Also, terminal restriction fragment lengths were measured using Southern blotting. We also measured telomerase activity and telomere lengths in 11 benign breast tumor tissues and 19 paired stomach cancer and normal tissues. Cancer cell lines treated with adriamycin we evaluated for changes of telomerase activity and the cell proliferation by MTT assay and dye exclusion test. Telomerase activity of cell lines was 95.3 24.1 unit with a range of 27.6-129.6 unit, while the telomere lengths of those cell lines were variable from 5.0 to 10.4 kbp with a median of 6 kbp. In 11 cancer cell lines which were not yet firmly established, we could not detect any telomerase activity. Low telomerase activity was detected in only 2 benign tumor tissues of breast with a median telomere length of 8.8 (7-10.5) kbp. Among paired 19 gastric cancer and normal tissues, only 7 cancer tissues showed weak telomerase activity. After adriamycin treatment, telomerase activity in YCC-S-1, YCC-S-3, MCF-7 and MCF-7/ADR was decreased in accordance with the changes of the cell numbers. Telomerase is specific to cancer tissues and is expressed differently from organ to organ. Telomerase activity by TRAP assay could be used as a chemosensitivity assay.  相似文献

The role of nitric oxide (NO) in activation of cGMP is well established. It has been proposed that the ratio of cAMP to cGMP may be important in the regulation of preimplantation embryonic growth and differentiation. Therefore, we determined the ability of murine preimplantation embryos to produce NO. In addition, NO as an endogenous smooth muscle relaxant and vasodilator is a candidate for involvement in embryo implantation because this process requires increased vascular permeability and uterine quiescence at the sites of blastocyst apposition. Nitrite assays, an indirect measure of NO production, indicate that preimplantation murine embryos produce NO. This production was reversibly inhibited by culture of embryos in medium containing a nonspecific NO synthase (NOS) inhibitor (NG-nitro-L-arginine). Additionally, inhibition of normal development was observed in embryos cultured with NOS inhibitor. NO levels increased in culture medium when ovariectomized progesterone-treated animals were exposed to estrogen for 1 h in utero. Such hormonal treatment induces implantation. These data indicate that NO levels are regulated by estrogen and may be important in regulation of implantation. In addition, these data demonstrate for the first time that NO production appears to be required for normal embryonic development.  相似文献

About one-third of patients with gastric cancer are unresectable at the time of diagnosis. Their median survival is < 6 months, with a grave prognosis. The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of a modified FAM (mFAM) regimen in advanced gastric cancer. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of 409 advanced gastric cancer patients who had not received curative surgery. Among 409 patients, 202 patients were treated with an mFAM regimen (infusional 5-FU + doxorubocin + mitomycin-C), and 207 patients received no chemotherapy (control group). No differences were found in clinical parameters between the two groups. The 1-year survival rates were 34.1% for the mFAM-treated group and 22.5% for the control group (p = 0.0135). In subset analysis, a higher 1-year survival rate was demonstrated in patients with mFAM and palliative surgery. Of the 154 evaluable patients in the mFAM-treated group, the response rate was 17.5%. In these patients, median response duration was 30 weeks, and progression-free survival was 23 weeks. Overall toxicity of mFAM regimen was relatively tolerable and reversible. In conclusion, FAM combination chemotherapy, which has been used as a standard therapy, prolonged survival after modification of the administration schedule and combination with palliative surgery. A prospective randomized study is warranted to confirm this conclusion from our retrospective study.  相似文献

Ordinary Portland cement mixed with various amounts of absorbent polymer in the form of sodium acrylate ((–CH–)nCOONa) have been studied. As the content of absorbent polymer increased, heat evolution of samples decreased up to 1.15 wt % of absorbent polymer addition and conversely increased over 1.75 wt %. Flexural strength of cement paste with absorbent polymer was improved more than 20%. As the content of absorbent polymer increased, the porosity values decreased and mean pore diameter shifted to small pore diameter region. Flexural strength of ordinary Portland cement paste had a linear correlation with non-evaporable water content but, that of cement paste with absorbent polymer deviated from a linear correlation with non-evaporable water content. The chemical difference between cement pastes with and without absorbent polymer was found by the inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy and the infrared spectroscopy. For the infrared spectra of absorbent polymer, bands at 1416 and 1560 cm– 1 were assigned to C–O single bond and C=O double bond respectively, namely, unidentate complex. As the curing time increased, the absorption bands near 1416 cm– 1 shifted to longer wave number and the absorption bands near 1560 cm– 1 to shorter wave number and finally bidentate complex was formed. Absorbent polymer released sodium ions to pore solution under the basic condition of pH 12.5–13.5 and became polyacrylic acid. Then some of these polyacrylic acid were crosslinked with others by calcium ions leached from cement grains. Calcium ion was regarded as a central charge connecting the negative parts in carbon-oxygen polarization of absorbent polymer' functional groups.  相似文献
