Selective oxidation of alcohols by combinatorial catalysis   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
High-throughput synthesis and screening of polyoxometalate (POM) and supported-metal libraries have been developed for the selective aerobic oxidation of alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes/ketones in the liquid phase. Libraries consisting of 96 catalysts were prepared in multi-well reactors and screened for catalytic activity using TLC, GC and NMR detection methods. Promising hits identified in the high-throughput primary screens were successfully scaled up and optimized in conventional laboratory test units. Isolated yields confirm high selectivities of more than 90% with quantitative conversions. Substrates tested include primary and secondary alcohols. Specific results will be presented for hydroxymethyl-substituted heterocycles and bicyclo-octanols.  相似文献

Tin thin films of equal thickness were vacuum deposited on NaCl substrates at different deposition rates both in high vacuum (2×10–5 Torr) and poor vacuum (1×10–3 Torr). These films were examined by electron microscopy and the grain size and density in the films were determined. It was found that both in poor and high vacuum, as the deposition rate was increased the grain size decreased and grain density increased. However, the deposition rate must be increased by an order of magnitude in order to observe large changes in the grain size and density. It was also observed that the films prepared in poor vacuum, especially at low deposition rates, consist of islands with jagged edges. These observations have been interpreted on the basis of nucleation theory and the effect of adsorbed/chemisorbed gases on island growth in these films.  相似文献

Silk-elastinlike protein polymer, SELP-815K, with eight silk and fifteen elastin units and a lysine (K) modified elastin, was genetically engineered with longer silk and elastin units compared to existing hydrogel forming analogs (SELP-415K and SELP-47K). Hydrogels of the three SELPs (with similar MWs) were investigated for their structure-function relationships. Results indicate that equilibrium swelling ratio in these hydrogels is a function of polymer structure, concentration, cure time and ionic strength of media. Swelling was not influenced by the changes in pH. Storage moduli observed by dynamic mechanical analysis and the Debye-Bueche correlation length obtained from small-angle neutron scattering provided structural insight that suggests the cross-linking densities in these hydrogels follow the order SELP-47K > SELP-815K > SELP-415K. These results allude to the importance of the length of elastin blocks in governing the spacing of the cross-linked hydrogel network and that of silk in governing the stiffness of their 3-dimensional structures.  相似文献

A simple one‐step approach for the preparation of highly monodispersed nano copper(0) stabilized on alumina [Cu(0)/Al2O3] by thermal reduction of copper‐aluminium hydrotalcite (Cu‐Al HT) under a hydrogen atmosphere is described. The transformation of Cu‐Al HT to Cu(0)/Al2O3 occurrs via dehydroxylation of divalent and trivalent metal hydroxides and decarboxylation of carbonate anions present in the interlayers of hydrotalcite, as confirmed by XPS, XANES, XRD and TEM analysis. Cu(0)/Al2O3 nano composites were used as an efficient catalyst in the C C coupling of deactivated aryl chlorides. The high efficiency and reusability exhibited by Cu(0)/Al2O3 outline its potential as an alternative over traditional noble metal‐based catalysts in C C coupling reactions.  相似文献

Thin antimony films of thicknesses in the range 30 to 200 nm have been vacuum deposited on glass substrates at room temperature. After annealing for about an hour at 500 K, the thermoelectric power and electrical resistivity were measured in vacuum as a function of temperature. The thermoelectric power and electrical conductivity data were combined and simultaneously analysed using the effective mean free path theory of size effect in thin films developed by Tellier and Pichard et al. In addition, their temperature dependence was also analysed. It was found that the thermoelectric power is positive and increases with increasing temperature and is inversely proportional to the thickness of the film. The electrical resistivity was found to be temperature dependent with the temperature coefficient of resistivity being positive, and inversely proportional to the thickness of the film. Analysis combining the data from the thermoelectric power and electrical conductivity measurements has led to the determination of mean free path, carrier concentration, effective mass, Fermi energy and the parameter The data were analysed for least squares fitting by local functions, such as the spline functions, which eliminates possible errors in conventional least squares fitting of data using non-local functions valid throughout the range.  相似文献

This paper presents the design of low noise amplifier and mixer (LIXER) circuit for wireless receiver front ends using 65 nm CMOS technology. The circuit is implemented with CMOS transistors and uses 65 nm CMOS process. Proposed LIXER circuit achieves a maximum gain of 25 dB and DSB noise figure of 3.5 dB. In the given circuit, current shunt paths had created by using LC tank circuit with transistors Q5 and Q6. By using the creative current recycle technique circuit consumes 3.6 mW power with 1.2 V power supply. The operating frequency of the proposed structure is 2.4 GHz with 25 dB conversion gain and ?13 dBm IIP3. The operating of the receiver front end is 2.4 GHz is used for IEEE 802.11a WLAN, Bluetooth, and ZigBee applications.  相似文献

We investigated the structural and optical properties of the hierarchically integrated zinc oxide (ZnO) branched submicrorods on carbon fibers (ZOCF) by scanning/transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. The ZnO submicrorods were facilely synthesized by an electrochemical deposition method on polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber sheets used as a substrate. After coating the ZnO seed layer on the surface of the carbon fibers, ZnO submicrorods were densely grown on the nuclei sites of the seed layer. The prepared ZOCF samples exhibited high crystallinity and good PL properties. A feasibility for environmental application in Pb(II) removal from aqueous solutions was also studied. The ZOCF adsorbent exhibited an excellent maximum adsorption capacity of 245.07 mg g−1, which could be practically used in Pb(II) removal from water. These fabricated ZOCFs are potentially useful for multifunctional and environmental devices.  相似文献
