Detecting and tracking ground targets is crucial in military intelligence in battlefield surveillance. Once targets have been detected, the system used can proceed to track them where tracking can be done using Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) type indicators that can observe objects moving in the area of interest. However, when targets move close to each other in formation as a convoy, then the problem of assigning measurements to targets has to be addressed first, as it is an important step in target tracking. With the increasing computational power, it became possible to use more complex association logic in tracking algorithms. Although its optimal solution can be proved to be an NP hard problem, the multidimensional assignment enjoyed a renewed interest mostly due to Lagrangian relaxation approaches to its solution. Recently, it has been reported that randomized heuristic approaches surpassed the performance of Lagrangian relaxation algorithm especially in dense problems. In this paper, impelled from the success of randomized heuristic methods, we investigate a different stochastic approach, namely, the biologically inspired ant colony optimization to solve the NP hard multidimensional assignment problem for tracking multiple ground targets.  相似文献

Chemical properties, fatty acid and sterol compositions of olive oils extracted from Gemlik and Halhal? varieties grown in Hatay and Mardin provinces in Turkey were investigated during four maturation stages. The olive oil samples were analyzed for their chemical properties such as free acidity, peroxide value, total carotenoid, total chlorophyll, total phenolic contents, antioxidant activity, fatty acid and sterol compositions. Chemical properties, fatty acids and sterol profiles of olive oil samples generally showed statistically significant differences depending on the varieties, maturation and growing areas (p < 0.05). As free fatty acid contents and total phenolic contents increased, total carotenoid and chlorophyll contents decreased throughout the maturity stages. Total carotenoid and chlorophyll contents of oil samples from Mardin were higher than those of Hatay. The total phenolic compounds of olive oil samples ranged from 20.62 in Gemlik to 525.22 mg GAE/kg oil in Halhal? from Hatay. In general, the phenolic contents and antioxidant activities of olive oil samples were positively associated. Oleic acid content was the highest 71.53 % in H1 samples in Hatay. Total sterol contents were 1194.33 mg/kg in Halhal? and 2008.66 mg/kg in Gemlik from Hatay. Stigmasterol contents of oils obtained from Hatay were lower than those of Mardin. Oleic acid, palmitic acid, β‐sitosterol, ?‐5‐avenasterol and campesterol contents fluctuated with maturation for each of variety from both growing regions. These results showed that the variety, growing area and maturation influence the chemical properties, fatty acid and sterol compositions.  相似文献

In this study an approximate method based on the continuum approach and transfer matrix method for static and dynamic analyses of symmetric wall‐frame buildings is presented. The whole structure is idealized as a sandwich beam in this method. Initially the differential equation of this equivalent sandwich beam is written; shape functions for each storey can then be obtained by the solution of differential equations. By using boundary conditions and storey transfer matrices obtained from these shape functions, system modes and periods can be calculated. The reliability of the study is shown using several examples. A computer program has been developed in MATLAB and numerical samples have been solved for demonstration of the reliability of this method. In this study, corona plasma discharge was applied to desize polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and starch on cotton fabrics. Plasma treated and non-treated samples were processed in various steps in a textile firm. The samples were tested to evaluate their weight loss, size dissolution, capillarity, dyeability, pilling resistance and strength values. The surface morphology and the chemical structures were examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy analyses. The experimental results showed that the plasma has positive effects on size removal, hydrophility and the pilling values of the PVA and also starch sized fabrics.  相似文献

Electrochemical genosensors for the detection of the Factor V Leiden mutation from polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplicons using the oxidation signal of colloidal gold (Au) is described. A pencil graphite electrode (PGE) modified with target DNA, when hybridized with complementary probes conjugated to Au nanoparticles, responded with the appearance of a Au oxide wave at approximately +1.20 V. Specific probes were immobilized onto the Au nanoparticles in two different modes: (a) Inosine-substituted probes were covalently attached from their amino groups at the 5' end using N-(3-dimethylamino)propyl)-N'-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) and N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide (NHS) as a coupling agent onto a carboxylate-terminated l-cysteine self-assembled monolayer (SAM) preformed on the Au nanoparticles, and (b) probes with a hexanethiol group at their 5' phosphate end formed a SAM on Au nanoparticles. The genosensor relies on the hybridization of the probes with their complementary targets, which are covalently immobilized at the PGE surface. Au-tagged 23-mer capture probes were challenged with the synthetic 23-mer target, 131-base single-stranded DNA or denatured 256-base polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplicon. The appearance of the Au oxidation signal shortened the assay time and simplified the detection of the Factor V Leiden mutation from PCR amplified real samples. The discrimination between the homozygous and heterozygous mutations was also established by comparing the peak currents of the Au signals. Numerous factors affecting the hybridization and nonspecific binding events were optimized. The detection limit for the PCR amplicons was found to be as low as 0.78 fmol; thus, it is suitable for point-of-care applications.  相似文献

Single wool fibers were coated with TiO2 by using the sol‐gel method. The uniaxial tensile properties of TiO2 coated single wool fibers heated at different temperatures from 25 to 200°C were investigated and compared with those of uncoated single wool fibers. It was observed that the shape of the stress–strain curve of TiO2 coated wool fibers became the same as uncoated wool fibers and showed a similar tendency of change to uncoated wool fibers with increasing temperature. But, the TiO2 coated wool fibers obtained higher rigidity than uncoated wool fibers and up to their rupture points; they obtained higher stress levels in three deformation regions in the stress–strain curves, which indicates stronger wool fibers. Although the breaking extension of TiO2 coated wool fibers decreased little by about 8%, the Young's modulus of TiO2 coated wool fibers increased significantly by 19%, which was caused mostly by an increment in the stiffness of the cuticle layer of the wool fiber, and remained relatively higher than that of uncoated wool fibers after heat treatments. Structural changes in both uncoated and TiO2 coated single wool fibers due to thermal effect, which caused the changes in the uniaxial tensile properties and the thermal behaviors of these fibers were discussed by using spectroscopic and thermal analysis methods in detail. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A general purpose enzyme-based amperometric electrochemical genosensor assay was developed wherein polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplicons labeled with both biotin and fluorescein were detected with peroxidase-conjugated antifluorescein antibody on a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE). As a proof of principle, the response selectivity of the genosensor was evaluated using PCR amplicons derived from lolB gene of Vibrio cholerae. Factors affecting immobilization, hybridization, and nonspecific binding were optimized to maximize sensitivity and reduce assay time. On the basis of the background amperometry signals obtained from nonspecific organisms and positive signals obtained from known V. cholerae, a threshold point of 4.20 microA signal was determined as positive. Under the optimum conditions, the limit of detection (LOD) of the assay was 10 CFU/mL of V. cholerae. The overall precision of this assay was good, with the coefficient of variation (CV) being 3.7% using SPCE and intermittent pulse amperometry (IPA) as an electrochemical technique. The assay is sensitive, safe, and cost-effective when compared to conventional agarose gel electrophoresis, real-time PCR, and other enzyme-linked assays for the detection of PCR amplicons. Furthermore, the use of a hand-held portable reader makes it suitable for use in the field.  相似文献

The resistance analysis related to the hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotyping and treatment procured key information for the study of infected patients. The aim of this study was to develop a novel assay for the voltammetric detection of DNA sequences related to the HBV genotype on the development of lamuvidine resistance by monitoring the oxidation signal of guanine. This new technique not only provides a rapid, cost-effective, simple analysis but also gives information concerning both genotyping and lamivudine resistance. Synthetic single-stranded oligonucleotides ("probe") including YMDD (HBV wild type) YVDD, or YIDD (mutations in the YMDD) variants have been immobilized onto pencil graphite electrodes with the adsorption at a controlled potential. The probes were hybridized with different concentrations of their complementary ("target") sequences such as synthetic complementary sequences, clonned PCR products, or real PCR samples. The formed synthetic hybrids on the electrode surface were evaluated by a differential pulse voltammetry technique using a label-free detection method. The oxidation signal of guanine was observed as a result of the specific hybridization between the probes and their synthetic targets and specific PCR products. The response of the hybridization of the probes with their single-base mismatch oligonucleotides at PGE was also detected. Control experiments using the noncomplementary oligonucleotides were performed to determine whether the DNA genosensor responds selectively. Numerous factors, affecting the probe immobilization, target hybridization, and nonspecific binding events, were optimized to maximize the sensitivity and reduce the assay time. Under the optimum conditions, 457 fmol/mL was found as the detection limit for target DNA. With the help of the appearance of the guanine signal, the new protocol is based on the electrochemical detection of HBV genotype for the development of lamuvidine resistance for the first time. Features of this protocol are discussed and optimized.  相似文献
