It would be helpful to achieve appropriate synthetic routes to attain larger-scale production at industrial levels of nanocomposites at low costs. In the present work, diphasic composites with core–shell nanostructures formed by La2Fe2O6/CoFe2O4 are investigated. The core–shell structure is fabricated via different preparation methods. The advantages and the demerits of the synthesis techniques are discussed. The presence of both the spinel CoFe2O4 nano ferrite and orthorhombic La2Fe2O6 perovskite phases is revealed by X-ray diffraction. XPS spectroscopy is utilized to investigate the chemical composition of the prepared samples. The hysteresis loops of the prepared samples exhibit a smooth loop that is resulted from the existence of two homogeneous magnetic phases. For the first time, it has been found that the preparation conditions have the advantage of reducing the switching field distribution value for the core–shell nanoparticles. Exchange coupled core–shell nanoparticles present a high potential to regulate the magnetic properties for numerous applications such as heavy metal removal and/or data storage devices. The maximum adsorption capacity (qm) of Cr III on the core–shell (S3) is higher compared to other adsorbents previously testified in the literature. The cost-effective and eco-friendly prepared core–shell samples with good metal removal capacity have great potential for commercialization.

The electrical conduction was investigated in different rubber composites, subjected to various values of longitudinal extension. The study involves styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR), butadiene-rubber (BR), acrylonitrile-butadiene-rubber (NBR), butyl-rubber (IIR), and natural rubber (NR). Each type was separately blended with 100 phr of fast extruding furnace black. The parameters of the model of Polley and Boonstra are recalculated for a specific example and good fitting is found.  相似文献

Olive leaves (Kronakii cultivar) were obtained from the annual pruning of olive trees and pressed to obtain a crude juice. Aliquots from the concentrated crude olive leaf juice, representing 400, 800, 1600 and 2400 ppm as polyphenols, were added to sunflower oil. Samples of sunflower oil mixed with olive leaf juice were heated intermittently at 180 ± 5 °C for 5 h day?1 and the heating process was repeated for five consecutive days. A control experiment was performed where butylated hydroxyl toluene (BHT) at 200 ppm was added to sunflower oil prior to intermittent heating in order to compare the antioxidant efficiency between the natural polyphenolics of olive leaf juice and synthetic antioxidant BHT. Some physical and chemical constants for the unheated and heated sunflower oil were determined. The data indicate that the addition of olive leaf juice to sunflower oil heated at 180 °C induced remarkable antioxidant activity and at 800 ppm level was superior to that of BHT in increasing sunflower oil stability.  相似文献

Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) is a potent tumor promoter and highly inflammatory in nature. Here, we investigated the toxic effects of PMA on different model system. PMA (10 μg) caused chromosomal aberrations on the Allium cepa root tip and induced mitotic dysfunction. Similarly, PMA caused embryonic and larval deformities and a plummeted survivability rate on zebrafish embryo in a dose-dependent manner. Persistently, PMA treatment on immortalized human keratinocyte human keratinocyte (HaCaT) cells caused massive inflammatory rush at 4 h and a drop in cell survivability at 24 h. Concomitantly, we replicated a cutaneous inflammation similar to human psoriasis induced by PMA. Herein, we used tangeretin (TAN), as an antagonist to counteract the inflammatory response. Results from an in vivo experiment indicated that TAN (10 and 30 mg/kg) significantly inhibited PMA stimulated epidermal hyperplasia and intra-epidermal neutrophilic abscesses. In addition, its treatment effectively neutralized PMA induced elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation on in vitro and in vivo systems, promoting antioxidant response. The association of hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α)-nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated b cells (NF-κB) crosstalk triggered by PMA enhanced PKCα-ERK1/2-NF-κB pathway; its activation was also significantly counteracted after TAN treatment. Conclusively, we demonstrated TAN inhibited the nuclear translocation of HIF-1α and NF-κB p65. Collectively, TAN treatment ameliorated PMA incited malignant inflammatory response by remodeling the cutaneous microenvironment.  相似文献

Calcium nano ferrite with composition CaGdxEryFe2?x?yO4 (x?=?y?=?0.0, x?=?0.025, y?=?0.05) was prepared by citrate gel auto combustion method. The prepared samples showed orthorhombic phase structure and the crystallite sizes were found in the range of 32.1–35.3 nm. Detailed observation via the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) showed that the calcium ferrite nano-particles were spherical and capsule like formation shape. The hysteresis loop confirms the magnetic behavior of the investigated samples, which is then discussed on the basis of super exchange interactions. Magnetic parameters such as saturation magnetization, coercivity, and retentivity were obtained. Greater than six-fold increase in coercivity (≈2085 Oe) was observed in calcium nanoferrites compared to the doped samples (≈360 Oe). The CaFe2O4-type structure includes edge- and corner sharing BO6 octahedral, constituting a very unique network similar to perovskite-related nanoparticles. This structural network leads to an improvement in the physical properties of the investigated samples. Great efforts have been made to synthesize pure nanoferrite samples without any secondary phases even after the substitution of low soluble rare earth ions. Special attention should be given to calcium ferrite nanoparticles which are suitable candidates to be used in the manufacturing of bone-like scaffolds, hyperthermia treatment of cancer and biological activity.  相似文献

Nano-ferrite of the general formula Mg0.7Cu0.3Fe2O4 was prepared by citrate-gel auto combustion method. The structure was studied by X-ray diffraction, Brunauer–Emmet–Teller, field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analyses. The crystallite size of the investigated nano ferrite was ?39 nm. The magnetic hysteresis measurements at different temperatures (100, 170, 240, and 300 K) were performed using a vibrating sample magnetometer. A correlation between magnetic behavior and lattice strain has been established. Arrott plot has been employed to understand the magnetic behavior of nano-crystalline Mg0.7Cu0.3Fe2O4. The magnetic susceptibility was carried out using Faraday’s method. Magnetic constants such as Curie temperature, effective magnetic moment, saturation magnetization, and coercivity were obtained and reported. Based on UV diffuse reflectance spectroscopy studies, the optical band gaps are in the range from (1.3–1.9 eV), hence the investigated samples could act as visible light driven photo catalysts.  相似文献

Crude juice of olive leaves (Kronakii cultivar) was obtained by hydraulic press. The level of polyphenlic compounds in the juice was 215 ppm. An aliquots of the concentrated olive leaf juice, represent 600, 1200 and 2400 ppm as polyphenols and butylated hydroxy toluene (BHT; 200 ppm) were administered to rats daily for 6 weeks by stomach tube. The liver (aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase activities) and kidney (bilirubin, uric acid, creatinine and urea) function tests and serum contents (total lipids, total cholesterol and low and high‐density lipoproteins) were measured to assess the safety limits of the polyphenolic compounds in the olive leaf juice. The data of the aforementioned measurements indicated that the administration of olive leaf juice did not cause any changes in liver and kidney functions. On the contrary, BHT at 200 ppm induced significant increases in the enzyme activities and the serum levels of total lipids, uric acid, urea and creatinine. Microscopical examinations of kidney and liver tissues of rats administered with the phenolic compounds of olive leaf juice had the histological character as that of control rats whilst, the administration of BHT at 200 ppm altered the features of rat liver tissues and severely damaged the rat kidney tissues.  相似文献
