This paper presents a new approach to economic dispatch (ED) problems with non-smooth cost functions using a particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. The practical ED problems have non-smooth cost functions with equality and inequality constraints, which makes the problem of finding the global optimum difficult when using any mathematical approaches. Since, standard PSO may converge at the early stage, in this paper, a modified PSO (MPSO) mechanism is suggested to deal with the equality and inequality constraints in the ED problems. To validate the results obtained by MPSO, standard particle swarm optimization (PSO) and guaranteed convergence particle swarm optimization (GCPSO) are applied for comparison. Also, the results obtained by MPSO, PSO and GCPSO are compared with the previous approaches reported in the literature. The results show that the MPSO produces optimal or nearly optimal solutions for the study systems.  相似文献

Due to the vast production of crude oil and consequent pressure drops through the reservoirs, secondary and tertiary oil recovery processes are highly necessary to recover the trapped oil. Among the different tertiary oil recovery processes, foam injection is one of the most newly proposed methods. In this regard, in the current investigation, foam solution is prepared using formation brine, C19TAB surfactant and air concomitant with nano-silica (SiO2) as foam stabilizer and mobility controller. The measurements revealed that using the surfactant-nano SiO2 foam solution not only leads to formation of stable foam, but also can reduce the interfacial tension mostly considered as an effective parameter for higher oil recovery. Finally, the results demonstrate that there is a good chance of reducing the mobility ratio from 1.12 for formation brine and reservoir oil to 0.845 for foam solution prepared by nanoparticles.  相似文献

This paper presents a method to seek the optimal location of several static Var compensators (SVCs) in a power system based on their primary function. Taking advantages of the flexible ac transmission system (FACTS) devices depends largely on how these devices are placed in the power system, namely, on their location and size. In addition to their primary function, the supplementary damping control action can be also added, and how to utilize their control capabilities effectively as stabilizing aids is becoming very important. In this paper, power system stability is used as an index for optimal allocation of the controllers. First, several SVCs are placed optimally based on modal analysis and genetic algorithm in a power system. After placing the SVCs based on their primary functions, the most appropriate input signal for supplementary controller is also selected. The frequency response characteristics of the system for all located SVCs are determined in selecting the best input signals.  相似文献

Magnetic, pH and temperature-sensitive, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM)-based nanocomposites with fluorescent properties were synthesized by free radical copolymerization-cross linking of NIPAM, N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) and 4-acrylamidofluorescein (AFA). The model anti-cancer drug, cisplatin (CDDP), was loaded into the resulted nanogel. For the production of CDDP-loaded nanocomposite, Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and CDDP were loaded into the nanogel. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) indicated that the size of nanogel and CDDP-loaded nanocomposite were about 90 and 160?nm, respectively. The encapsulation efficiency of CCDP was found up to 65%. The loaded CCDP showed sustained thermal and pH-responsive drug release. A high level of drug release was observed under the conditions of low pH and high temperature. The lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of synthesized nanogel was about 40?°C. CDDP-loaded nanocomposite showed a volume phase transition from 282 to 128?nm at its LCST. Accordingly, in this study, the synthesized nanocomposite can be employed as a stimuli-responsive anti-cancer drug delivery system and the pH and temperature of solution have the potential to monitor the drug release.  相似文献
