Structures presenting kinematical inderterminacy are usually called mechanisms. This paper is entirely concerned with assemblies which reveal themselves to be mechanisms at a null value of the load. Among them a first distinction is made between infinitesimal and finite ones, the former being characterized by one or several directions of lower (but not zero) stiffness, whereas the latter show at least one finite admissible displacement for which none of the bars undergoes any elongation. Moreover, there exists the possibility to make a further distinction among the infinitesimal mechanisms, according to which is the order of the stiffness along the direction considered above. The way of evaluating this order is to perform a local analysis of the strain energy of the assembly, once the displacement field is parametrized in terms of a suitable parameter. By means of a finite element technique, this analysis can be easily performed through the numerical approach presented in this report.  相似文献

Multipath propagation in a broadband CDMA environment is described. A propagation model for broadband spread-spectrum signals is presented. Experimental results relating to the sharing of the band by fixed service microwave users and mobile personal communications network (PCN) users are discussed. Field tests indicate that PCN systems can provide high-quality communications when sharing the spectrum with fixed-service microwave systems in suburban and urban areas  相似文献

The development of potent antitumor agents with a low toxicological profile against healthy cells is still one of the greatest challenges facing medicinal chemistry. In this context, the “mutual prodrug” approach has emerged as a potential tool to overcome undesirable physicochemical features and mitigate the side effects of approved drugs. Among broad-spectrum chemotherapeutics available for clinical use today, 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is one of the most representative, also included in the World Health Organization model list of essential medicines. Unfortunately, severe side effects and drug resistance phenomena are still the primary limits and drawbacks in its clinical use. This review describes the progress made over the last ten years in developing 5-FU-based mutual prodrugs to improve the therapeutic profile and achieve targeted delivery to cancer tissues.  相似文献

Consideration was given to the discrete-time MAP/G/1/∞ queuing system where the arriving customer is taken to the server with a certain probability depending only of the processed length of the customer in service and squeezes out its predecessor to the first place on the queue or, with the complementary probability, occupies the first place on the queue (inversive probabilistic servicing discipline). The problem of see-through cancelation in digital images of double-sided documents is addressed. We show that a nonlinear convolutional data model proposed elsewhere for moderate show-through can also be effective on strong back-to-front interferences, provided that the recto and verso pure patterns are estimated jointly. To this end, we propose a restoration algorithm that does not need any classification of the pixels. The see-through PSFs are estimated off-line, and an iterative procedure is then employed for a joint estimation of the pure patterns. This simple and fast algorithm can be used on both grayscale and color images and has proved to be very effective in real-world cases. The experimental results we report in this paper demonstrate that our algorithm outperforms the ones based on linear models with no need to tune free parameters and remains computationally inexpensive despite the nonlinear model and the iterative solution adopted. Strategies to overcome some of the residual difficulties are also envisaged.  相似文献

This study reports the low‐temperature and clean fabrication of porous poly(lactic acid) (PLA) through solid‐state foaming using various mixtures of ethyl lactate (EL) and supercritical CO2 (scCO2) as the blowing agent. Results showed that adding a small amount of EL (up to 0.2% molar fraction) to scCO2 enhanced the plasticizing effect of the blowing agent mixture. As a direct consequence, at an operating temperature of 35 °C, PLA foams could be manufactured with homogeneous morphology, density as low as 0.09 ± 0.01 g cm?3, mean pore sizes up to 519.0 ± 205.0 µm and pore densities in the range 2.0 × 105 to 3.4 × 108 pores cm?3. Conversely, at a temperature of 40 °C, an increase of plasticizer concentration in the blowing agent mixture up to 0.2% promoted the crystallization of the polymer during sorption stage and, consequently, foaming was slightly reduced. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Reported in this paper are the implementation and testing of the real-time control of a two-wheeled mobile robot. The robot is underactuated, its mobility and control inputs being three and two, respectively. The control challenge faced here is to reduce the oscillations of the intermediate body while following a desired path. A controller, introduced elsewhere, is implemented using a real-time operating system on a novel control architecture. The control algorithm was tested using three different test motions: translational, rotational, and uphill.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to prepare poly‐?‐caprolactone (PCL) foams, with a well‐defined micrometric and bimodal open‐pore dimension distribution, suitable as scaffolds for tissue engineering. The porous network pathway was designed without using toxic agents by combining gas foaming (GF) and selective polymer extraction techniques. PCL was melt‐mixed with thermoplastic gelatin (TG) in concentrations ranging from 40 to 60 wt %, to achieve a cocontinuous blend morphology. The blends were subsequently gas foamed by using N2‐CO2 mixtures, with N2 amount ranging from 0 to 80 vol %. Foaming temperature was changed from 38 to 110°C and different pressure drop rates were used. After foaming, TG was removed by soaking in H2O. The effect of blend compositions and GF process parameters on foam morphologies was investigated. Results showed that different combinations of TG weight ratios and GF parameters allowed the modulation of macroporosity fraction, microporosity dimension, and degree of interconnection. By optimizing the process parameters it was possible to tailor the morphologies of highly interconnected PCL scaffolds for tissue engineering. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
